Adonis’ POV

I sat in my office with Jaden. He looked at me confused. I paced around a little and asked him if he needed a cup of coffee. He turned it down and I could feel his eyes slowly watching my movements.

I waited for him to speak. I could tell that he had a question on his lips. It was just bursting to come out but I saw him bite his tongue to keep in his mouth.

Finally, he spilled.

“Is there a reason that you brought me here, sir? You have been pacing for the last 10 minutes and you are making me worried.”

I smirked and finally retuned to my seat and took out a glass of whisky from my drawer and poured out a shot.

“Do you drink?” I asked but he shook his head and I poured a shot for myself.

I downed the glass and sat down quietly in front of him.

“I know that you are a man of business. I know that you want to get this down with but I am having a bit of a crisis. Things aren’t really going the way I want them to go. I man needs a little alcohol to calm the troubled nerves.”
