Tesla's Pov..
"You're okay?" My eyes twitched trying to get a sight of any injury or distress. He was perfect however, just like the last time that I had seen him before leaving for the venue. His cold eyes bore into me, leaving me confused. Why did I feel that he was acting so cold towards me? Or it was just because I was being paranoid.. "Since you are here already! Let's get this over with as soon as possible!" His voice lashed out at me getting me into a deep hole of confusion Before I could think about his words, he drew out a pile of documents from his pockets and threw it at me. "There! Read it!" He said with a stern look on his face.. I didn't say another word, quickly taking the documents as diligently as I ever would. Immediately my eyes laid on the headings, it shot out from their sockets. Since I had been working night and day in the pack, it was just way too easy for me to note an official bond breaking notice document when I saw one. Ripples formed through my tiny skin gladly and it was like someone was squeezing into my heart.. It's a prank right? It just had to me. With a racing heart, my eyes raced through the room in search of the camera. And when I saw none, I Inquired. "What about the people that are going to shout surprise? The Camera, Henry, were you really planning for the wedding to take place here instead when you wanted me to leave before you?" This was the only reason that I could think of. But even though I was trying to reassure myself of the possibility of it being a prank at every passing minute, I could not help it but let out some kind of a nervous chuckle. This time, he actually rose from his setting position. His eyes were fierce, unleashing all the anger that he had been trying to bottle up. It was more like I was going to be torn apart.. "A prank? Did it look like a prank to you when you sent the love of my life out of the pack with you silly games? And here I thought I could actually trust you!" I could feel his overwhelming anger, shaking me right to my foot. Even with his blowing rage. I still found it difficult to comprehend. Bringing to fractures his words together. "Love of his life? Chase?" "What are you talking about?" I inquired, still trying to be calm. He scoffed. Deeply. His hands were walking up to me and I could already feel his suppressing Aura. "My true mate is back this time and knows all the truth!" He replied. "Every single night for three years, I go to bed with this same thought, why would my mate suddenly disappear during our mating ceremony?" "Now I have gotten the response to that question. You sent rogues after her immediately you discovered that we were mates!" He said. The words struck me in the heart like a dagger going right through it. How could he even think of such a thing? Where were all these thoughts coming from? "Alpha Henry, you know that I would never do such a thing. Is someone against marriage thus feeding you with such lies?" "You can't allow anyone to break us up. We are supposed to get married today. After three years, you should know me already." My words seemed to be dripping over with pleadings. He sneered. Then he scoffed. I looked at that cruelly handsome face trying to detect his emotions but I could hardly get any readings to it. "Marrying you would have been the worst decision that I have ever made! And you want to know who? I heard it right from the horse's mouth!" He replied. 'The horse's mouth?" My heart froze for a while and I fell back in my steps in shock, placing the fractures of his words together. "Katherine? Katherine is back?" I could barely believe these words. "Yes! Shocked aren't you? The girl that you thought was dead is finally back!" He glared at me before. "What are you going to do now? Hang yourself? Cause I would love to see you that way after all the atrocities that you have committed already." My heart froze and for split moments, the walls that encircled my world crumbled right before me and it was like someone was squeezing into my heart, tightening my breath. Knowing exactly how the two felt toward each other, I knew that I was nowhere close. But why today of all days did she choose to return after abandoning him for two straight years? And to even think that she would have to frame me with their disappearance. I looked into his intoxicating eyes. Those eyes that once looked at me with love now paired at me with utter disgust. "I can't do such a thing, Luke. I swear on my life and the moon goddess. She is just trying to make sure that we drift apart!" My eyes were already welling up with emotions trying to push closer toward him but I got pushed away, slamming to the floor. "Well, she succeeded!" He replied. He brought out his cell phone from his pockets, scrolled through and threw it to the table while an audio played. From the few intro that I could pick out, I could easily conclude that it was a call between Alpha Henry and the Chief specific officer of the pack, Maxwell. "Hello Maxwell! Did Luna have any meeting with some rogues on the fifth of July?" Alpha Henry inquired. "Yes! I caught her but she made mention of searching for her siblings who came to see her and had gone missing. With a little pay, it would be easy for the packless Werewolves to find him out for a few bucks." I was stunned hearing those words because I never remember having such a conversation with anyone. It was certain that it had been all scripted but Alpha Henry was too rage filled to notice. The call went on and on and no matter how hard I would try to defend myself, deaf ears were the only thing that I received. "I have given you two options. I need a response by the end of today or I am picking one for you instead!" He ended up walking away from the place. He pronounced, heartbreakingly ignoring all my words. I rolled on the floor. It was more like my heart was being broken up into a million pieces and fixed right back again, and again. It was utter torture and I could barely stand it. Until I heard a cracking sound from the door that shifted me away from my emotional torment for a few while.. It was her, face laced with a smile and perfectly dressed up in the most seducing dress that was ever known to man. I looked at her. With piercing hatred, like I was going to tear her apart into a million pieces. All my anger and hatred were directed towards that dead sea that she called a soul. Her eyes grazed at me with amusement. Like she was playing some sort of game. "Those eyes! Not really who I was expecting!" There was a sinister smile on her face. I was raging over with some anger. My body tearing up with it as I stared at that happy little face of hers. "I had worked all these while and you choose to remain hidden. Why did you choose to come at this moment? Just when I suddenly want to be happy?" "Oh! Now I remember what I was forgetting. I came here to thank you for taking care of what is mine for all these years. You know the pack house before I left was so small and I couldn't be stuck with such a lowly Alpha for the rest of my life. Eventually, I had to bail for sure. Until I started hearing about this pack and how great the Alpha has become. And who was this great success behind him? Oh, that should be you of course. With all the passionate nights we have spent together after being together for just a year, the moans much more than the words you guys have left together for three years, I was way too sure that Alpha Henry would never be able to forget me." She smacked. And with each word that she spoke, the stroke of my heart continued to break gradually, the heat all over my body increasing the moment. "From that I decided to come back for "my" Alpha. And I thought, when would be the perfect time to show my face apart from your supposed pretentious exchange of vows?" She replied.. Every single breathing cell in bod was body was breathing out with so much torture and I could not stand it anymore. I sprang up from the floor staring right into her eyes with every single cell in my body screaming with the rage that was boiling down my body. "You! You little lying bitch, you don't deserve the Alpha!" My lungs screamed out at her but once again, she only gave me that annoying smack. "Too bad that the person that you are advocating for has contrary views. And should I tell you, he even wants you dead and is holding back the urge because he feels you have done well for the pack. What did he call it again.. Or, burning every bridge that can stand in the way of true love, you of course being a stepping stone to that." The composure that I was trying to pull together suddenly broke. Every single bit of it. Or maybe it was because I believed those words. We're true. Because of the way that Alpha Luke stared at me with murderous eyes. And from the Alpha that I knew already, he was more than capable. With racing hearts, I shot my hands ready to slap her across the face, but then I stopped. However, it didn't stop her motion. She threw herself up to the office chair, totally chattering about it and letting out a cry, enough for everyone in the pack to at least hear echoes of it. She scratched herself with a nail, finally bringing out a knife from her pockets and stab. "It went right through her side. A perfectly neat and angled cut for the left handed person that I was."The old man’s smirk widened at Kael’s accusation. His sharp, calculating eyes gleamed in the dim firelight, reflecting the carnage around them. His hands, still clasped behind his back, twitched slightly—just enough for Kael to notice. Tesla’s trembling grew more violent. “You…” Kael’s voice was low, almost a whisper, but filled with restrained fury. “You did this to her.” The old man inclined his head, as if entertained by Kael’s discovery. “Indeed.” Kael clenched his fists. His body ached from the battle, but rage burned through him stronger than pain. “You turned her into… *this*.” A slow, amused chuckle rumbled from the old man’s throat. “Turned her?” He shook his head. “No, no, boy. I simply *unleashed* what was already there.” Tesla snarled, her body still locked in place, trembling, fighting something unseen. Her silver eyes flickered between recognition and complete void—between her and the monster clawing for control inside her. Henry gritted his teeth. “We’re s
The battlefield was still. Only the crackling of burning trees and the heavy breaths of wounded wolves filled the night. Scar, now in his monstrous wolf form, towered over Tesla, his golden eyes gleaming with malice. He took slow, deliberate steps toward her, his massive paws sinking into the bloodstained ground. Kael and Henry stood at a distance, watching tensely, their bodies aching from battle. “This isn’t good,” Kael muttered. Henry growled lowly. “She’s strong… but Scar is something else.” Tesla’s white wolf didn’t move. Her silver eyes burned with something primal, something ancient. She stood firm, shoulders squared, her fur bristling as the wind swept through the clearing. Scar bared his fangs. “You think because you unlocked some hidden power, you can stand against me?” His voice was deep, laced with arrogance. “I am your end, little wolf.” Tesla didn’t respond. She lunged. The force of her attack sent shockwaves through the ground. She was fast—unnaturally
The air grew tense. The moment Henry and Kael heard the snapping of branches behind them, they knew—Scar had caught up. A low, guttural growl rumbled through the darkness. Kael barely had time to shift before something massive slammed into him, knocking him sideways. Henry roared, his body already shifting mid-motion. Bones snapped, muscles expanded, fur sprouted along his skin. By the time he landed on all fours, his white fur gleamed under the moonlight. Scar’s men came like a storm, their snarls ripping through the night. Shadows moved fast, fangs flashing, claws striking. Kael barely had time to dodge the first attack before another wolf lunged. He twisted, kicking off a tree trunk, launching himself into his enemy with deadly force. His jaw clamped down on the wolf’s shoulder, his claws raking down its side. A yelp. A thud. But there was no time to breathe. Another came at him—then another. Henry was already deep in battle, his powerful form tearing through en
The night stretched long and cold, the air thick with the scent of blood and damp earth. The battle had ended, but the war was far from over. Scar emerged from the shadows, his towering frame moving with deadly grace. His fur, a deep shade of charcoal, gleamed under the moonlight. Scars littered his body, marks of past battles, proof of his dominance. His golden eyes flickered with something unreadable as he stopped in front of the crumpled figure on the ground. Aldric. He was barely conscious, his breaths ragged, his body sprawled in the dirt, the wooden shard still embedded in his ribs. Blood pooled beneath him, dark and thick. He had lost. Scar tilted his head, a slow, measured movement. Then, without a word, he crouched down, gripping Aldric’s throat with one clawed hand. “Where are the others?” His voice was low, dangerous. Aldric’s lips curled into a weak snarl. He was in no condition to fight, no strength left to even lift his head. But he still had his pride. Sca
The wolves lunged. A blur of furs clashed under the moonlight, fangs bared, claws tearing at the earth as they collided with bone-crushing force. A snarl ripped through the air. Henry struck first, fast and brutal, his jaws snapping dangerously close to Aldric’s throat. But Aldric was faster. He twisted at the last second, his massive paws striking Henry’s side, sending him skidding across the dirt. Lina let out a small cry behind me, but I didn’t turn. I couldn’t. My eyes were locked on the battle unfolding before us. Henry recovered in seconds, his white fur now streaked with dirt and blood, but he didn’t hesitate. He launched himself at Aldric again, jaws snapping— Aldric dodged, but Henry was relentless. He struck again. And again. Each attack more brutal than the last, his fangs sinking into Aldric’s shoulder— Aldric snarled in pain, but it didn’t slow him down. If anything, it only made him angrier. With a vicious growl, he twisted, his claws sl
The blade came down. A sharp gasp lodged in my throat, but before I could make a sound, something clamped over my mouth. A hand. Strong. Unrelenting. I thrashed, my fingers clawing at the grip, but Aldric’s hold was ironclad. "Shh," he whispered against my ear, his breath cool, his voice eerily calm. "You don’t want to wake them just yet." The old man lay still. Unmoving. For a moment, my chest seized with fear, but then I saw it—his shallow, uneven breaths. He wasn’t dead. Not yet. Aldric must’ve realized he didn’t finish the job because his grip on me tightened, his frustration seeping through. I bit down. Hard. He let out a sharp curse, his hand jerking away just enough for me to suck in a deep breath— But I didn’t get the chance to scream. Because before I could, he yanked me backward, dragging me toward the barn doors with inhuman strength. I kicked, elbowed, fought— But he was faster. Stronger. I barely registered the doors swinging open b
