Samantha’s POV
I woke up very early. This place looks so good, but strange. Sleeping with my two eyes closed was scary. The nonstop growlings at night and weird cries emanating from the room upstairs, everything was just crazy. Not to think I was calling Cervantes the crazy one.
What Cervantes did last night was crazy though. He interrupted every discussion I had with Herveaux last night.
”How do I live up to the lies you have made me tell the Alpha?” I asked Cervnates. “Why are you silent? This is just the beginning as I see it!” I added anxiously. It was unlike Cervantes to not reply to my questions on time.
“I can not feel his presence too”. I was a bit worried and perplexed.
“Our Beloved Alpha request your presence “ Someone said outside my door. “Why can't they knock and come in?”.
“Our Beloved Alpha request your presence!” The voice repeated louder. “I have heard. I need to change my dress and put some make-up on at least”, I had to reply.
“You have to come out now. You do not keep the Alpha waiting.” Now they were getting on my nerves. I look like shit. My hair was undone and the clothes I wore were so revealing. I was in my underwear.
A lady suddenly appeared inside my room. “Arrrrrgh……………..” I screamed out my lungs. She stared at me unmoved by my screams. “We have to go now!” She held my hands and dragged me like some criminal.
“You should at least let me cover my body. This is demeaning!” I muttered as she kept dragging me to their beloved Alpha. The name sounded so funny to me”.
“Kneeel!” She commanded. I feel to my knees. “Face down. How dare you look the Alpha in the face!?” She thundered.
“I did look at his face last night. A shocker? We even kissed”, I said to myself, even though I wanted to shout it loudly at her.
“You may rise!” A coarse, sexy but deep voice said to us. I thought he was referring to me. But the woman smacked my legs, making me fall back to my knees as I tried getting up.
“You are late! And you know the punishment for that, don’t you?” Alpha herveaux questioned the woman.
I was tempted to lift my head up even though not obvious, but I wanted to see him. Alpha herveux mysteriously twisted his head to the left slowly and it somehow swept the woman off her feet. It felt like magic but the strange thing was that I felt it too. I bowed my head to the floor immediately.
The woman was bleeding. He smacked her really hard on the wall, by just sitting and tilting his head. “He is so powerful” I said to myself, still shaking with fear.
“Leave this moment!” He said, still in a low tone, as if he did not just trying to kill the woman.
The woman struggled to leave his presence. Crawling slowly on the floor as she moved with her blood staining the ground.
“I thought she was strong when he appeared in my room like Cervantes always does?” I asked myself. “She is strong. The Alpha’s power is unmatched.” Cervantes freaked me out of the blue. “I left you for just a night and you said in trouble!” He said to me harshly.
“You! Move forward!” He commanded sternly but still kept a low tone. My legs were shaking and I couldn’t move fast. “Will he smash me on the wall also?” I asked Cervantes but he didn’t respond.
“This is the wrong time to leave me, you sly!”
“Why did you scream and pass out last night?” Alpha herveaux said to me. His facial expression didn’t seem angry, but he was able to almost kill a woman in my presence. “Ignore his face, he is angry”, I said to myself.
“NO, I'm not angry. I just love discipline and orderliness”. He responded to my thoughts.
“Geez, that’s crazy. I had forgotten! I haven't stopped thinking for a while”. He smiled like he could still hear me.
“My daughter might be late for school because of you! The only reason you are in my mansion is because of Tala. I have no use for you!”
“So arrogant! So much for someone who kissed me last night!” I hissed quietly.
Moving as far away from him as I could. “That’s better. Always keep your distance from me. Only The Beta stays close!” He said to me.
All through I noticed he didn’t even look at me. His eyes were fixed on a picture on the wall.
Alpha Herveaux stood up from his seat. It was a golden slated chair so big and attractive. “I wouldn’t mind sitting on it someday”, I teased myself.
“What do you find funny?” He asked me. “I'm sorry I was carried away.” I apologized immediately.
“You are dirty, lazy, stupid and uninteresting!” “ Tala is upstairs. Go take care of her. First go and clean up! What you did last night was unforgivable. You will be dealt with later!”
My heart raced really fast. “I did nothing wrong last night? I screamed because I was scared?” I said to myself.
“Show Auriel to Tala’s Room!” He said to one of the maids that enetered to clean the blood stain on the floor. She came in with the cleaning materials.
“Come with me” she said with a smile. She was the first to smile at me today.
We climbed the stairs to the second floor. “That’s it, the one on the right.” She pointed it to me. “Are you coming with me?” I asked her. She only smiled and left.
“Why is she scared? Tala is an innocent little girl”, I concluded to myself.
“Hello, Tala, it's Auriel!” I said, pressing the doorbell. “Leave. I don’t want to go to school!” She shouted back at me.
“Its okay with me. But you have to take your bath and change your dress”, I replied to her calmly and with love in a low, convincing tone. It worked. She opened the door.
Tala had her father’s eyes yellow and daring. “My love, Have you been crying?” I bent down to pick her up in my arms. “No, I'm just sad”, She replied. “Do you really think father wont force me to school?” She asked me. “That’s hard but I will try my best” I assured the little gilr. “You haven’t bath also. Are you dirty?” the little gilr asked rudely. “Your stupid, arrogant father made me come to you this way.” I wanted to spill to Tala but then I refrained myself. “I was waiting for you!” I lied with a broad smile on my face.
“I know the perfect place for us to take our bath” She happily held my hands and made me follow her down the stairs and outside the mansion. The edifice was beautiful and full of floral designs. “This is definitely not that arrogant man’s doing” I said to myself.
“Turn on the pool!” Tala shouted aggressively at the guard that stayed there. She wasn’t even scared of his physique. “He is huge damn! Built like a hulk!”
He turned on the water. The place looked so beautiful. Within seconds, the bath was full with water and a curtain was raised for us. The flowers smelt so good.. “Opps, we forgot our towels” Tala said, laughing innocently. Her smile was genuine.
“My mother and I always forgot it also. Now we have to make father bring it!” She said, splashing the water around. “What! Call that man here? No please!” I said to myself. “Father is so damn busy. I will go and get it myself.” I said to her.
I hadn’t gotten really wet, I was in my petticoat underwear. I hurried back inside to get Tala’s towel. My attention was diverted. I heard a woman’s voice in Alpha Herveux’s room. I don't know how, but I found myself not only eavesdropping but peeping through the keyhole.
It was a woman! I was right. She placed her hands on his neck, sitting on his lap while he still sat on the golden chair. She kissed him so deeply. “Could she be his lover?” I felt a sharp pain in my heart. I still couldn’t move. I felt he was cheating on me. “He made her sit facing him. He kissed her also. I could feel my heart ache harder and beat faster. I was very angry.
“Who is there!” He thundered and I froze.
SAMANTHA’S POV. ONE YEAR LATER. His broad hand drew me into his arms with a tight hug that i felt in my soul. "Happy birthday, my beloved Luna," his coarse, seductive voice whispered in my ears."Hmmm," I heaved, still pretending to be asleep. He placed a small box beside me. "I want to go to the bath; will you join me? I know you’re awake," he uttered. He took off his clothes, and I fell in love with him all over again. It was my birthday again, a day I have regretted and wished never came just because of that unforgettable night. Alpha Herveaux changed that. It became a day I now look forward to."So what’s my first gift?" I asked him jokingly. "Me!" he coerced seductively. "What else can I ask for? Can I have you now?" I can’t wait to see his expression when he finds out I am pregnant with his child. "That night a few months ago, I thought you left; I would have been miserable without you. Thank you, Samantha," he uttered as he made out with me.He carried me down to
ALPHA HERVEAUX’S POV.I rolled to the other side of the bed, expecting a push or a sound, but none was forthcoming; Auriel had left. It sent me a bewildering, intense feeling of sadness that swept all my happiness away."Don’t be sad; she probably went for the kill; only she can defeat Falcon," I consoled Tristan. If it turns out otherwise, then I’ll just go with the flow. I am back to full strength. Before Sunrise reveals its glory, I will go and defend the city. It won’t go down with me alive. She left the clothes she had picked out for me to wear at the extreme edge of the bed. She still cares, but maybe as a friend and not as my Luna. The clothes seemed like camouflage. There was no way I could hide without getting spotted or noticed; it was pointless hiding or wearing camouflage. I got dressed and was ready for the kill. I stepped out, and a smile returned to my face when I saw the moon. I growled. It meant she was still around. "I hope she sees me before leaving," I wished o
SAMANTHA’S POV. My heart fluttered watching him sleep soundly like a baby. His heart was beating slowly, and his face had a mild smile. "I am his peace," I muttered, blushing uncontrollably. "I’m sorry, my love, I’ll have to leave before you wake up. Just let’s stay alive all through. I really can’t decide now." I whispered and kissed him goodbye.I didn’t care if I would make it or not, but my love for him and his children was driving me to my peak."Avayah, Valerie, we are going to find Falcon and kill him. Easy, right?" I asked them jokingly. I tiptoed out of Ashina’s house so Herveaux would continue his sound sleep. The only place on my mind where I felt I could find Falcon was at Derrick’s mansion, the same place where Alpha Herveaux was held hostage. The mansion was miles away from the house. I wondered what made Ashina come this far and live there alone; not even Herveaux knew of the place. "Thank you, Avayah; you led me there, right?" I shifted like a pro as I ra
ALPHA HERVEAUX’S POV.The wavering sounds of the waters at the sea stirred my eyes to open and my soul to awaken. Still in pain, I struggled to get up on my feet. "Hey, just lie down there; you’re still hurt."The voice I had always wanted to hear spoke to me. I beamed with a smile and fell back onto the bed. She hurried up to meet me."Herveaux, are you with me?" She asked worriedly, holding my hands. She placed my hand on her face. It still felt like a dream. I never knew she’d return to me. Especially now that I needed her the most."Samantha?" I murmured tiredly. "Yes, it’s me; I am here," she responded. My hands found her blonde hair, and I flicked them away from her face. "You’re beautiful," I said to her, smirking."I know there is no time to waste; tell me what to do; how can I heal you?" she asked instantaneously. She dragged me up the wall so I could rest my back. "Where is this place?" I asked anxiously. I had never been there, and it was pleasant. "It Belonged to
SAMANTHA’S POV. Gwendolyn helped me pack my bags. She was skeptical about it at first, then I was the one eager to leave."Will you tell your father about it first? Have you made any plans?" She asked me carefully. "None for now. I have been trying to call Alpha Draglun, but he isn’t responding. Do you think he’s also caught in this?" I asked her concernedly. "Keep calling, he might answer before you get there. Your father is not home right now. I will just tell him when he returns," Gwendolyn responded impatiently. I sat down on the bed tiredly. "Why are you acting like this?""Don’t tell me you’re backing out or having second thoughts, okay let’s do this, if the thing get out of your control, just say goodbye and come back to us, how about that?" Gwendolyn asked. Gwendolyn was done packing my bags. She collected the cellphone from me and put it inside. "So how do you get there? You’re not going by car, right?" she asked confusedly, and it made me blush. "Partly by ca
ALPHA HERVEAUX’S POV. The dangers of the night were out; the whole place was dark and sneaky. Not a single soul was around. The whole place was dark, and the absence of the moon didn’t go unnoticed. For once, I doubted the information Brenda gave me. It came so easily; just a few minutes after she left me, she returned overhead and came to me. "I don’t mind; I have no other choice," I said loudly to myself to stop the non-stop pondering in my mind. I checked the whole area. The woods, underneath, and even the sea that was nearby, but there is no sign of anyone there. "I will wait a while and leave if no one shows up," I coerced. I checked the paper she gave me again. "It’s here; I definitely am in the right place. Where are you hiding my children, Falcon?" I whispered, still searching. "Right here!" he responded with a wild roar. He threw Miranda’s body down from the tree. "Damn you, Falcon, I knew it!" I groaned painfully. She was still alive but writhing in pain."Don’t wor
