I look down at Lily as she tries to focus on doing the dishes, but she doesn’t give me the time of her day. She is trying her hardest to ignore me, and I don’t know why.

I poke her shoulder. “You’re mad at me.”

Lily pauses what she is doing and narrows her beautiful eyes. Man, she’s pretty, even when she is looking like she might want to kill me. I never expected that when I met her.
