Chapter 10

Elinor was walking with Alan and Azeph as they insisted on taking her to the dormitories. The others had scattered about each one having something to take care of.

By the time they reached that place, Elinor wondered if this wasn’t one of the best plans to fuel the rumors about her and Azeph. This was probably why Will had insisted on taking Noah with him on an errand.

And why Louis had suddenly remembered a book he’d wanted from the library. Suddenly she felt grateful for Alan who didn’t ride along with their plans.

The dormitory had front gardens, which you had to pass through in order to enter the building. Those gardens were littered with tables where female students were having afternoon tea. As soon as they got there all the eyes fell on them.

She felt Azeph standing a bit closer to her, while Alan took a step away from her side. When she looked at him, his eyes were on a retreating figure that was practically running toward the doors. Interesting…
