Chapter twenty two

Xavier’s POV

Xavier stared at the boy, his heart thumping loud in his chest and he cleared his throat, glancing away from him to hide the emotion in his eyes. “What rubbish are you spouting?” he asked coldly, “if I hate you then do you think I would let you date my only sister? Yes she is my cousin and we are both only child’s, do you think I will let you be with the only sibling I have?” he raised an eyebrow.

Oliver bit his lips and nodded, “I understand that but from my own understanding, most people are friends with the partner of their siblings. I mean, I am friends with my brother’s partners. I talk to them when I see them and I laugh with them at their jokes. I always even go out with them and spend some time with them, it’s all fun. But you have been ignoring me since you knew me. After our bet, you almost loosened up around me and before I knew it, you were uptight again. What did I do? Am I annoying you or something?”

That was a long speech that Xavier didn’t know how to comp
