LOGINThe morning came quickly. I looked at my phone and it said 8 am. My body still woke up like clock work at 8. That was the time I would get up to give mommy her medicine and get ready for school. I get up and finally take a look around. My room was beautiful. I had a canopy bed set with a gorgeous dark brown mahogany bed frame that had a large bed post on the four corners. The floors were also wood, but a beautiful forest green, fluffy rug covered most of it. The colors in my room were dark greens of various shades and burgundy. The drapes of the canopy were burgundy, and so were the sheer curtains that lay underneath the green blackout curtains. They lined the large windows that connected to large double doors that led out to a balcony. I turned and saw I had my own book shelf. Study nook, completed with a desktop in the corner, and my own bathroom. This room was truly beautiful. I take a quick peek out on the balcony, and the view was breathtaking. Trees as far as the eye could see. A beautiful garden lay underneath my balcony and miles of grass, with a clear path for hikes and walks. I took a deep breath in and caught the scent of water, as if water was nearby.
I'm gonna have to ask dad about that. I quickly take a shower, brush my teeth, and wash my face. I pulled my coily hair up in a messy bun and left out two coils to frame my face under the legs of my glasses. I put on a large graphic T that displayed some of my favorite anime characters and black leggings with some socks. I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs. Again, there was another big man by my door. He looked down at me and smiled. "Good morning, little one." I smiled up at him. "Good morning, but I'm not that little." His smiled. "To me, you are." I wanted to protest, but I couldn't help but notice the huge gap in size. I narrowed my eyes at him and pouted. "You've been eating way too many vegetables, dude." He chuckled deeply, if that's what you wanna call it. He had a kind but protective aura, and he smelled of sandalwood. He felt grounded, like a dependable post. I like that. I smiled brightly at him and then grabbed his hand. He seemed surprised by my actions, but then he relaxed around my hand. "What's your name?" "My name is Brody." "You look like a Brody." He smiled. "What's yours?" "I'm Kwen." He raised his brow at me. I rolled my eyes. "Kwenali, but my friends call me Kwen. We can be friends, right?" I truly liked Brody and liked being around him. "Absolutely." He had such a gentle face, and I knew I made the right decision. "Do you want me to show you to the dining room for breakfast?" "Yes, please." We turned and began walking down the hall and down the steps. This place was freaking huge. I'm starting to realize everything had to be big for the huge people who lived here. Most of the men we walked by were mountains, and the women weren't as wide by most were tall. The guy from last night saw me and Brody walking hand in hand, and he looked as if he saw a ghost. "What the hell? Has hell frozen over? No, wait... this is a dream." Brody groaned and rolled his eyes. I was confused. The guy looked at me and smiled wildly. "How did you get this tuff as nails statue to look somewhat alive?" He all but laughed out loud. His laugh was definitely contagious. I was too out of it last night to notice, but his aura is bright. I mean, he's like the sunshine. He smells of cinnamon and orange. His scent is as vibrant as he is. I smiled and looked between the two. "I like Brody just the way he is. If he's silent with you, that means he doesn't like you." I gave him a cheeky grin. He feigned hurt by clutching his chest. "Gasp! And here I thought you were a sweet girl. Has he rubbed off on you already?" I laughed and shook my head. "I guess so. Come on, Brody. Let's leave him to himself." Brody nodded at me, and we began to walk around him. "Hey, wait for me!" He yelled after us. He caught up to us and slipped his hand in my other one. I looked up at him. "What can I say? I was jealous. If the dark knight here can hold such a beauty's hand, why can't I... and I met you first, so there!" I chuckled at his antics, and we all walked to the dining room. It was filled with people bustling about. I was gonna sit anywhere, but they were taking me up front. I didn't want to sit there. I knew everyone was gonna be watching me... and that's exactly what they did. All eyes were on me. I squeezed my two guards' hands tighter, and they squeezed mine back in reassurance. They seated me at the head table where I'm sure the Alpha and his family sits. Which is where I sit now, considering the Alpha is my daddy. They sit with me for a second and talk amongst themselves. I guess they were waiting for my dad to come. A large plate of food was brought out to me. It had French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes on one plate. I had a small plate of cut-up fruit and a glass of organs juice. I looked at the mountain of food and wondered who the heck was gonna eat all that? I looked to Brody. "Umm, who's this for?" "It's for you, of course. You can start eating whenever you like." "But... there's so much of it. No one could eat this much!" I was taken aback by such a ridiculous idea. My two guards just laughed. "Trust me, this is a light serving, if anything. Whatever you don't finish, you don't have to eat." My second guard told me. I frowned. "I'm sorry, but what's your name?" He smiled. "Ahhh, so you want to know this ole handsome devil's name, eh?" I smiled and nodded. "Call me Kyle. What's yours? Wait. I got it! Kwen!" I gasped. "How'd you know?" He chuckled. "I was guarding you last night, Kwen. Of course, I've been told your name. So has Brody." I looked at Brody, and he had an irritated look on his face staring at Kyle. "Did you already know my name, Brody?" "Yes, I did. But I figured you would have wanted to introduce yourself to me personally. Unlike some people with huge mouths, I wanted to have you tell me about you." I smiled. "Thanks." He nodded. I turned back to Kyle, and he had a triumphant look on his face. "It's not nice to tease people, Kyle. You should know better." He started pouting. "Unbelievable." Kyle dramatically said, throwing his hands up in the air but keeping a smirk on his face. "Ok. Ok. Forgive me, dear princess." I laughed. "Ok. But only if you finish off what I don't finish eating. It's wasteful to throw it away." He and Brody both smiled at me. "Say no more. I'd love to share your food." That was the first thing Kyle said that was genuine, and his smile was gentle. My guards were both super cute. Kyle and Brody were handsome for different reasons. Kyle has this boysih charm about him. He has curly, fluffy, dirty blonde hair, with beautiful blue ocean eyes. His skin perfectly tan, and his muscles matched his large and wide frame. Brody was more of a man's man. He had a rugged look. He, too, was tan, with studs in his ear. He had a full beard but a bald head. He was more muscular than Kyle and a tad bit taller. If you didn't know any better, his protective demeanor could be mistaken for intimidating. I'm starting to believe being attractive was also a wolf trait I didn't know about. I began eating and talking with both of them for a good 10 minutes, when I high-pitched voice cut through our tranquil moment. "What are you doing?" I look over across the table and see a little girl. She was about my height. I guess you could consider me short for a 12 year old. I was about 5'. She had porcelain skin, with blonde hair that came down in full curls. She had the prettiest gray eyes and a button nose. All in all, she was a very pretty girl, but her scent didn't mimic her outside appearance. She has a dingy aura. Her scent is a salty musk. How can a girl so pretty smell like this. My face scrunched up from it. I looked at Kyle and Brody, and it seemed only I could smell it. I looked back at the girl, then continued eating. "Umm, excuse me! I'm talking to you!" I put my fork down and looked at the little girl. "Uhh, no, you're not. You're yelling, and I don't respond to that." I went right back to eating. Kyle and Brody both looked at me then at each other. I shrugged my shoulders. The little girl shrieked. "Don't you know who I am?" The people around us stopped talking and started looking our way. I gave her a bored look. "No, and I really don't care. Whoever you may be doesn't justify your behavior. My mama said, "Use your inside voice to speak and your hands to yell. So I advise you to keep your voice to a low volume." Everyone was shocked, silenced by my words. "My daddy is the Alpha, and you're gonna be in sooo much trouble when he comes in here." She smirked at me. My eyes went wide. I looked at Brody and Kyle, then back at the girl. Ahhhh... so this is one of those moments my aunt Mia would call "The Fuckery."Seth's POV:I stood by with a glass in hand, watching the horrendous show of my king dancing with such a lowly creature. To top it off, my son decided to make of show of tangoing with that woman as well. The way in which they interacted with one another, whispers began to circulate. I slowly strode around the room, my eyes fixated on the duo. "They look rather good together.""Who is that human?""Do she have some sort of relationship with the king?"I listened with great irritation to the conversations that began to spin around the rumor mill. My fingers tightened around the thin glass stem that sat between them. Lucius looked a little too chummy with the girl for my liking. I looked over. Prince Cersai stood as still as a statue, never allowing his gaze to slip away from them, arms tight around himself. I frowned. Why even allow this to happen? My gaze filtered up to the king and princess. They watched the duo dance as well, casually talking, all while keeping a lazy eye on my son.
Connor's POV:Anxiously, I waited. Everything was finally coming together, but my anxiety won't ease until I have my prize in my hands. It all seemed to be happening quickly, which gave me pause. I received a call from my trackers yesterday night, and it ended with a video call from someone very unexpected.Flashback...I was in my office late, going over a few particulars. I was slowly trying to expand my territory. After giving up a piece of my land all those years ago in order to have a claw in Blackcresent, I was beginning to feel as though I gave it up for nothing. That was until I saw her. From that moment, all my future endeavors revolved around and included her. I'm a man that can wait, especially when in that patience my reward is great. A knock came from my office door. I responded haphazardly, never tearing my gaze from the papers on my desk."Come in."I heard the door creak open. Footsteps approached my desk. I knew it was my beta. Only he has the authorization to interru
Kwen's POV:My gaze slipped away from the girl I've come to know as Nina, back to the king. He looked down at me, concerned written all over his face. I took a deep breath."I don't believe those families dabbled with dark magic. I would smell it, but they don't smell clean. That's the only way I can put it for now."Julian nodded, not looking around anymore. Neither of us wanted to draw attention. We continued to sway for a bit longer. As we moved, a faint smile found its way to my lips."What's the smile for?"Julian asked, mirroring my joy. I broke out into a smile, looking up at him."I never thought I'd get a dance like this.""A dance like what?"He asked. My eyes found their way to my dad, my smile falling some."When I was meant to be hidden away from the world, if there was some sort of gathering at the pack house, I would sneak to the hall, usually from the outside garden, and watch everyone inside. People would join hands and dance around. It was all so elegant. Beautiful.
Kwen's POV:It took a bit, but I was finally ready to head to the gathering. The women looked at me in awe, gasping and clutching imaginary pearls."You are incredibly stunning!"One gasped out, as the other 2 nodded their heads in agreement. I smiled, rising to my feet. I walked over to the full body mirror, and was shocked myself. I looked damn goodt!!"Damn."I whispered out. The women giggled. One scurried behind me and began pushing me towards the door."Go. Go! You're already late as is.""Have fun."The last one said to me, wiggling her brows. I laughed as I exited. I walked the halls and began to head towards where the gathering was meant to be held. I noticed people were still filtering in. I ducked off behind a wall, peeking round the corner. I saw many faces. One thing I can definitely give to these supernatural beings, they be sexy as fuck!! I mean, I love a good beast, all brute and bulky. But some of these lean, muscular men, with sharp and soft features, and hair silkie
Julian's POV: I sat upon my throne, looking out on the people. Alpha Brandon and most of his people has already arrived. Many were welcoming, while some looked at the new comers in suspicion. Although I loved seeing and participating in the festivities with my people, I couldn't fully enjoy. My mind was elsewhere. Seth has felt slighted by my resistance in forcing Ismelda into a mates bond with his son. I was more willing to do so before meeting Kwen, but I could not ignore her warnings. The fire in her eyes when it came to protecting my child, even from me, told me many things. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Leddy was not wrong in her assessment. Kwen moves and talks with the wisdom of a person double, even triple her years. I've heard a fraction of Kwen's life, and I can see the pain behind her eyes when she speaks on what she knows from experience. As much as I'd like to have a better understanding of her myself, I know whatever she tells me would break my heart. A ge
Kwen's POV: It was late morning when I finally woke up. Truthfully, I was awakened due to a knock coming from my door. I begrudgingly slid out of bed, and zombie walked to the door. Fucking Cersai and Regin are gonna get cussed the fuck out for this! Halo purred in my head. 'It hurts so good.' 'Speak for yourself, hoe.' I retorted. She snorted. 'I was.' Halo clapped back. I snickered. I keep forgetting we damn near the same person. My hand turned the handle, then stopped. I looked down. I was completely naked. I rolled my eyes. Oh, come on. I snatched the blanket off the bed, and rushed to the door. I opened it, and to my suprise, I see the king, himself. "Thank God I grabbed the blanket, otherwise, this would've been 10x more awkward." I said, being 100% serious and not serious at the same time. Again, the king's cheeks lit up in a fine shade of pink, looking away. "Pa-pardon me. I know it's rather rude to show up unannounced." I shrugged with a smile. "It's all good.
Miza's POV:I felt her energy shift once the words fell from my lips. I had to finish all of what I was saying, before I wouldn't get the chance. I raised my hands up."WAIT! Before you criticize me, please let me explain."I begged. Her eyes sparkled a golden color that let me know that she was on
Cersai's POV:I went to bed feeling much more at peace and relaxed than I've been in I don't know how long. My body refused to relinquish the memory of Kwen that lingered on my body. My hands vibrated, wanting to touch her again, and my mind raced, still reeling from the soft moans that left her li
Kwen's POV:I looked between the eyes. Miza's eyes landed on Stephen and Melody's eyes were locked on Brody. After about a few seconds of silence, I squealed, running to both my guys, locking their heads in a headlock of love."MY BABIESSSS!!! YOU'VE FOUND YOUR MATES!!"I screamed in joy. I know ho
Conner's POV:20 years ago:I prepared for my meeting with the new alpha of Blackcresent Moon pack, that's to be held in about a week or so. His father and mother, the former alpha and luna, just recently stepped down from their roles, as their son just found his mate. He found her around 23 or 24
