MasukThe morning came quickly. I looked at my phone and it said 8 am. My body still woke up like clock work at 8. That was the time I would get up to give mommy her medicine and get ready for school. I get up and finally take a look around. My room was beautiful. I had a canopy bed set with a gorgeous dark brown mahogany bed frame that had a large bed post on the four corners. The floors were also wood, but a beautiful forest green, fluffy rug covered most of it. The colors in my room were dark greens of various shades and burgundy. The drapes of the canopy were burgundy, and so were the sheer curtains that lay underneath the green blackout curtains. They lined the large windows that connected to large double doors that led out to a balcony. I turned and saw I had my own book shelf. Study nook, completed with a desktop in the corner, and my own bathroom. This room was truly beautiful. I take a quick peek out on the balcony, and the view was breathtaking. Trees as far as the eye could see. A beautiful garden lay underneath my balcony and miles of grass, with a clear path for hikes and walks. I took a deep breath in and caught the scent of water, as if water was nearby.
I'm gonna have to ask dad about that. I quickly take a shower, brush my teeth, and wash my face. I pulled my coily hair up in a messy bun and left out two coils to frame my face under the legs of my glasses. I put on a large graphic T that displayed some of my favorite anime characters and black leggings with some socks. I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs. Again, there was another big man by my door. He looked down at me and smiled. "Good morning, little one." I smiled up at him. "Good morning, but I'm not that little." His smiled. "To me, you are." I wanted to protest, but I couldn't help but notice the huge gap in size. I narrowed my eyes at him and pouted. "You've been eating way too many vegetables, dude." He chuckled deeply, if that's what you wanna call it. He had a kind but protective aura, and he smelled of sandalwood. He felt grounded, like a dependable post. I like that. I smiled brightly at him and then grabbed his hand. He seemed surprised by my actions, but then he relaxed around my hand. "What's your name?" "My name is Brody." "You look like a Brody." He smiled. "What's yours?" "I'm Kwen." He raised his brow at me. I rolled my eyes. "Kwenali, but my friends call me Kwen. We can be friends, right?" I truly liked Brody and liked being around him. "Absolutely." He had such a gentle face, and I knew I made the right decision. "Do you want me to show you to the dining room for breakfast?" "Yes, please." We turned and began walking down the hall and down the steps. This place was freaking huge. I'm starting to realize everything had to be big for the huge people who lived here. Most of the men we walked by were mountains, and the women weren't as wide by most were tall. The guy from last night saw me and Brody walking hand in hand, and he looked as if he saw a ghost. "What the hell? Has hell frozen over? No, wait... this is a dream." Brody groaned and rolled his eyes. I was confused. The guy looked at me and smiled wildly. "How did you get this tuff as nails statue to look somewhat alive?" He all but laughed out loud. His laugh was definitely contagious. I was too out of it last night to notice, but his aura is bright. I mean, he's like the sunshine. He smells of cinnamon and orange. His scent is as vibrant as he is. I smiled and looked between the two. "I like Brody just the way he is. If he's silent with you, that means he doesn't like you." I gave him a cheeky grin. He feigned hurt by clutching his chest. "Gasp! And here I thought you were a sweet girl. Has he rubbed off on you already?" I laughed and shook my head. "I guess so. Come on, Brody. Let's leave him to himself." Brody nodded at me, and we began to walk around him. "Hey, wait for me!" He yelled after us. He caught up to us and slipped his hand in my other one. I looked up at him. "What can I say? I was jealous. If the dark knight here can hold such a beauty's hand, why can't I... and I met you first, so there!" I chuckled at his antics, and we all walked to the dining room. It was filled with people bustling about. I was gonna sit anywhere, but they were taking me up front. I didn't want to sit there. I knew everyone was gonna be watching me... and that's exactly what they did. All eyes were on me. I squeezed my two guards' hands tighter, and they squeezed mine back in reassurance. They seated me at the head table where I'm sure the Alpha and his family sits. Which is where I sit now, considering the Alpha is my daddy. They sit with me for a second and talk amongst themselves. I guess they were waiting for my dad to come. A large plate of food was brought out to me. It had French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes on one plate. I had a small plate of cut-up fruit and a glass of organs juice. I looked at the mountain of food and wondered who the heck was gonna eat all that? I looked to Brody. "Umm, who's this for?" "It's for you, of course. You can start eating whenever you like." "But... there's so much of it. No one could eat this much!" I was taken aback by such a ridiculous idea. My two guards just laughed. "Trust me, this is a light serving, if anything. Whatever you don't finish, you don't have to eat." My second guard told me. I frowned. "I'm sorry, but what's your name?" He smiled. "Ahhh, so you want to know this ole handsome devil's name, eh?" I smiled and nodded. "Call me Kyle. What's yours? Wait. I got it! Kwen!" I gasped. "How'd you know?" He chuckled. "I was guarding you last night, Kwen. Of course, I've been told your name. So has Brody." I looked at Brody, and he had an irritated look on his face staring at Kyle. "Did you already know my name, Brody?" "Yes, I did. But I figured you would have wanted to introduce yourself to me personally. Unlike some people with huge mouths, I wanted to have you tell me about you." I smiled. "Thanks." He nodded. I turned back to Kyle, and he had a triumphant look on his face. "It's not nice to tease people, Kyle. You should know better." He started pouting. "Unbelievable." Kyle dramatically said, throwing his hands up in the air but keeping a smirk on his face. "Ok. Ok. Forgive me, dear princess." I laughed. "Ok. But only if you finish off what I don't finish eating. It's wasteful to throw it away." He and Brody both smiled at me. "Say no more. I'd love to share your food." That was the first thing Kyle said that was genuine, and his smile was gentle. My guards were both super cute. Kyle and Brody were handsome for different reasons. Kyle has this boysih charm about him. He has curly, fluffy, dirty blonde hair, with beautiful blue ocean eyes. His skin perfectly tan, and his muscles matched his large and wide frame. Brody was more of a man's man. He had a rugged look. He, too, was tan, with studs in his ear. He had a full beard but a bald head. He was more muscular than Kyle and a tad bit taller. If you didn't know any better, his protective demeanor could be mistaken for intimidating. I'm starting to believe being attractive was also a wolf trait I didn't know about. I began eating and talking with both of them for a good 10 minutes, when I high-pitched voice cut through our tranquil moment. "What are you doing?" I look over across the table and see a little girl. She was about my height. I guess you could consider me short for a 12 year old. I was about 5'. She had porcelain skin, with blonde hair that came down in full curls. She had the prettiest gray eyes and a button nose. All in all, she was a very pretty girl, but her scent didn't mimic her outside appearance. She has a dingy aura. Her scent is a salty musk. How can a girl so pretty smell like this. My face scrunched up from it. I looked at Kyle and Brody, and it seemed only I could smell it. I looked back at the girl, then continued eating. "Umm, excuse me! I'm talking to you!" I put my fork down and looked at the little girl. "Uhh, no, you're not. You're yelling, and I don't respond to that." I went right back to eating. Kyle and Brody both looked at me then at each other. I shrugged my shoulders. The little girl shrieked. "Don't you know who I am?" The people around us stopped talking and started looking our way. I gave her a bored look. "No, and I really don't care. Whoever you may be doesn't justify your behavior. My mama said, "Use your inside voice to speak and your hands to yell. So I advise you to keep your voice to a low volume." Everyone was shocked, silenced by my words. "My daddy is the Alpha, and you're gonna be in sooo much trouble when he comes in here." She smirked at me. My eyes went wide. I looked at Brody and Kyle, then back at the girl. Ahhhh... so this is one of those moments my aunt Mia would call "The Fuckery."Sierra's POV:Ever since my last interaction with everyone, I've stayed silent. I don't care for the way they've all turned on me, IF they were even for me to start. I was given specific instructions from my grandpa on the matter of the summons. I didn't think I'd actually have to use the contingencies we discussed, but the court was beginning to sway in favor of the bastard instead of my grandfather.Flashback...I sealed myself in my room, flew to my bed and cried. No one came looking for me and no one cared to stop me. She needs to go! Maybe when she's no longer a factor, would everything finally go back to normal. I sat up, wiping at my eyes angrily, picked up my phone and called my grandpa. After a few rings he answered. Phone call:Grandpa: Hello my beautiful granddaughter. To what do I owe this lovely suprise?I sniffled into the phone. I remembered mommy saying that grandpa played a part in trying to kill daddy and Danny, and that he has her locked away. But maybe I can help.
Unknown POV:Phone messages:Unknown: It's done. She's been taken and is currently en route to next destination. Will follow up in a few hours. - TCT...I looked up from my phone, swiftly putting it away. I braced myself for the mayhem I knew would occur the moment it was learned she was missing. I've enjoyed the show that had been the summons. If it wasn't so risky, I'd thank Councilmen Gaines for introducing me to the most prized possession of our little "clique." Never in a million years would I, or anyone else, think that a being such as herself could or would ever exist. Yet, there she stood in her greatness, almost begging me to have her. She was tantalizing. With the information given today, I'm sure many of us will be doing our own research on this mysterious Chosen named Cimone.I stood behind everyone as they tried to figure out what happened and where to look first. I played the part of a concerned bystander. I thought my act
Kwen's POV: Continued Before the meeting...After Miza and my grandparents left my room, I began to get ready. I was able to oil my body with my perfume oil and dress. I was about to start my hair when another knock came from my door. She stepped in. I didn't have to turn around to know who it was. I sat at the desk, looking into the mirror that sat atop it, as I started my hair."Good morning, Eve."I saw her face come into view in the mirror."Good morning, Kwen.""I'm gonna assume you have something to tell me, too? Everyone does these days."I said, as I chuckled. She smiled at me and nodded. I turned to give her my undivided attention."You must give them your truth.""Huh?"I said, confused by what she meant."At the summons today, they will pry and ask questions. Tell them everything. Tell them who your mother was and what she meant to your father. Tell them about your life with wolves. We wolves are full of ourselves. We need to be knocked down a peg. Let them trap themselves
Kwen's POV:Earlier that morning...There was a knock on my door. I called out."Come in my loving grandparents!!"They opened the door with a smile. Grandpa chuckled."I keep forgetting that."I shrugged."Good! That means I can keep surprising you."I walked over, hugging both of them."Wassup, my loves?"I asked. Their smiles slowly fell from their faces. They each took a hand and guided me back to my bed and sat down."Uhh, ok. This is not worrisome at all."I said sarcastically. Grandma pinched my cheek, playfully. I snorted. I turned to my grandpa who sat looking a little more worried than I expected. I wrapped my hand around his big one. Our eyes met."Wassup, G? Why's my super grandpa looking like this?"He smiled. His large finger came up and gently touched my cheek."I love you with all my heart, Kwenali. You know that, right?"I frowned."Of course. I love you too, grandpa, but what's wrong? Why do you sound like this?"He dropped his hand from my face, and his eyes fell to
Kwen's POV:Mannnnn, when I tell you I'm over all the spooky shit, I mean that. We all pulled up to a large gate that was covered in vines and surrounded by trees and bushes. The gravel road crunched underneath the weight of the cars. I assume they have some way of seeing us because as soon as we stopped in front of the gate, it opened up. We were still inside the car, yet I heard the creaking of the door opening. We drove through. Either they don't care or this is how it supposed to look, but the trees grew and outstretched across the road overtop, pretty much blocking out the newly hung moon above. The driveway ended in a circle around a massive fountain in front of the large building. It gave old mansion, and even older money. The entire building was made of cobblestone and brick. It had huge walls and many windows where no light shined through. "What kinda spooky shit is this? Should we just turn around and act like we ain't see it?"Angel said from behind me. I chuckled dryly."
Owen's POV:I have to get out. The women that has been keeping me, their sanity looks to be slipping. Since they returned with no luck on the last woman I was sent to seduce and retrieve, they've been at each other's throats. The one called Loren has been barking orders, while the one named Piper has been giving the cold shoulder and side eyeing her. I've noticed the tension. Hopefully, it gets to a point where their focus is no longer on me, so that I can use it as an opportunity to escape. I have to warn Kwen. I'm not sure how she's involved with this, but she's unaware that there are enemies on all fronts. A few days ago, I was on my way back to my cell that they like to classify as a "room," when I heard a conversation happening in a ankther space in the building. I've been with Loren and Piper for almost a year now. I figured they trusted me now. I've learned it wasn't trust, but rather magic that kept me confined within these walls. I still have no clue where I am, or even what
