I grayed early

I was shocked, to say the least. So because of this thing called a "mate", my mom got left heart broken and alone with me?

"It turns out that that very same day I went to your mother, she was coming to me to tell me about you. She never got the chance to because I went first to tell her about everything that was going on. I'm not gonna lie, I can understand why she didn't tell me, but at the same time, I really wish she did. I've missed out on 12 whole years of your life because she didn't say anything."

He was frowning as if he were angry about the situation. I'm a little upset about the revelation as well, but he has no room to be angry with her.

"I don't blame her at all. You just got finished telling me that you told her just moments before that for your entire relationship with her, you had been lying about who you are. Then told her you found your soulmate and that you're basically a king that needs to watch over his people and told her you couldn't decide who you loved more. If that was me, I wouldn't have said anything either. So you really don't have a leg to stand on."

He stared at me baffled by my words. I shrugged.

"Too blunt?"

He scoffed and chuckled.

"Yeaaaa. You're definitely Minnie's daughter."

We sat in silence for awhile.

"Look. To be honest, I'm not sure what's gonna happen here, but what I do know is that I don't want to be hurt. I'm not here to start or cause trouble. If you plan on not sticking around, just drop me off back home. My aunt is more than capable of taking care of me. We can pretend none of this even happened and go about our lives as strangers. Besides, you said it yourself, I don't even have a wolf. So there's no need for me to be here."

He looked at me confused.

"What are you talking about? You're my daughter. I wouldn't leave-"

"I'm sure you've said those same words to my mother and we both know what happened. You left. I can't bare losing another parent, so if you don't plan on being one to me, just let me go. I... I can't handle that right now."

Tears poured down my face again, hot and burning. My eyes never leaving his, so he knew I meant every word. I can't even imagine having another parent or anyone other than my mom. I don't know if anyone could ever know and love me the way she did. But what scares me the most is the idea that he doesn't even wanna be my dad. He didn't even try to fight for mom. Why would he fight for me? I couldn't bare the thought. He grabbed my hand into his two massive ones and kept a steady heated gaze fixed on me.

"Kwenali Emerie Moore. Though you do not have my last name, you are mine. I will not ever let you go. You are not going anywhere, lest without me. I have missed 12 years of your short, young life and I am so sorry that I did. But I'm here now. Let me be here for you now. Please allow me to be the father I wasn't able to be. I wasn't there for the first half of your life. Let me be there for the rest."

I seen and felt the sincerity in his words and with it, my dam broke. I sobbed. My dad finally wrapped me up in his arms, sat me on his lap and let me cry. I have no idea how long I cried for. Once I was finally calm, I tried to get off his lap but he held me hostage in his arms. I looked up at him confused but he just smiled at me. I let it go and snuggled in further. I was still wearing my mom's hoodie that held her scent. It felt as if I was being comforted by both my parents... a dream that will never have a reality. But I'll enjoy this substitute, for now. That's when the man named Dr. Mason comes back into my room. He's handsome too, but a lot leaner than my dad is but just as tall. He has long red hair pulled into a low ponytail drapped over his shoulder. He wore a white lab coat with a stethoscope around his neck. He wore a kind smile and seemed a bit older than my dad. I, again tried to get off my dad's lap but he wasn't having it.

"You can sit here while he asks you some questions."

I looked up at my dad then over to the doctor. He smiled.

"Yes. You may stay where you are. May I know the name of this beautiful little girl."

I blushed and smiled at him. He had a calming aura as well, and he smelled of jasmine and fresh water. I liked being around him.

"My name is Kwenali but call me Kwen."

His smile widened.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Dr. Mason and your father here wanted me to check in on you. You were asleep for a long time and it worried him. Are you ok?"

I nodded my head.

"Yes. I'm ok now. I haven't been able to get much sleep because I was looking after my mama. But now she gone. I was also crying alot, so I was probably just mentally and emotionally exhausted."

Both Dr. Mason and my dad looked at me like I said something crazy.

"You are quite smart I see. I wouldn't have expected you to say that to me."

I smiled brightly.

"I'm very smart. I'm going to college soon."

"Oh really? Well you do have a few more years before that."

I frowned and shook my head.

"No, I don't. I start this fall. We'll, actually I don't know how I'll do that since I'm so far away from home."

I just realized that I'm nowhere near the university I picked to go to school. A few universities wanted me in their medical programs because my entrance exams were top ranked. Now I don't even know if I'll be able to go to my first pick. Once I came out of my thoughts, I noticed the doc and my dad staring at me.

"What?"

"Umm. Are you serious about going to college in the fall. You're 12?"

My dad questioned looking skeptical.

"Yeah I'm serious. I graduated high-school right before mommy passed away. She couldn't see me walk in person, but auntie set her up with a laptop, and she recorded the whole thing so Mommy could see it. Before that, I took about 5 different entrance exams for college so I could go to med school. I want to become a doctor so I never have to watch a person I love fade away like that ever again... or anyone for that matter. All 5 schools accepted me, but I chose my favorite. I'm supposed to be starting in late August."

They both were silent. The doctor began to chuckle lightly.

"Well, well alpha. It seems your daughter is highly intelligent. I would've never saw this coming."

My dad looked at me in surprise and then slowly smiled, carrasing my check with his finger.

"It seems my daughter is a little genius. Congratulations, little one. I'm very proud of you."

I smiled back at him.

"Thank you."

We stared at each other for a little while longer.

"I have my diploma and my acceptance letters here with me if you want to verify it. But we can also call my aunt later and let her know. Maybe she'll know how to deal with the school thing."

My dad nodded.

"Ok. Well talk about that later."

"Um, Kwen?"

I turned to meet the doctor's gaze.

"Can you tell me how your hair became silver?"

I shrugged.

"I grayed early?"

I snickered at my own joke and Dr. Mason smiled.

"When did it change colors?"

I frowned at him confused by his question.

"What do you mean by changed colors. I was born with Silver hair."

His eyes nearly popped outta of his head and I felt my father's hands tighten around me.

What's the problem? It's just gray hair. Everyone's hair will turn this color when they get older. I just so happened to skip a couple of steps.

"I-I see. Do you have any baby pictures of you that I can see later. Right now, I'm gonna give you a small check-up, ok?"

I nodded my head and allowed the check up to happened. We talked all through the examine and by the end of it, I was tired all over again. The doc and my dad both left me alone to sleep, and once again, I was off into dream land.

Feronia's POV:I jumped back from the mirror, clutching my chest in shock. What the hell was that??!Draven moved towards me, wrapping his arms around me in comfort."What! What happened?!!"He asked, while searching the room with his eyes, fervently. I didn't know what to say, or describe exactly what it was that I saw. I stook out a trembling hand, and pressed a finger against the mirror's glass. Nothing.I looked around, trying to see if the man was actually here, or if I imagined it."Queen Feronia? What happened?"I looked myself in the mirror once more, before turning my wide gaze on Draven. He looked so worried. I reached up and gently touched his cheek."It's alright. I just... I thought I saw someone."His brows furrowed in the center of his handsome face. He truly does look so much like his father."You think?"His deep voice asked. I nodded."I felt a similar presence before, but this time, I saw a face. It feels like someone is trying to reach out to me."I looked back in

  • I was never Human   Will never forget

Daniel's POV:It has been an interesting few hours. When we came to the Supernatural Council, we already knew that Kwen would be blamed for the reoccurence of the warlocks, I just didn't know that the blame being sat at her feet was something that has already been spoken of before it ever happened. Heather brought old, but new information to us all, and it has been a bitter pill to swallow since. My chest tightened at the thought that Kwen has to bare the brunt of everything because of our own arrogance, but my chest also swelled in pride. My sister has been chosen among Chosens. She hasn't been found yet, and it's pissing me off that I have to sit here and hear people, who's never even seen her, let alone met and know her, talk about Kwen like she's some disease. In reality she's the best of us.Then she came.In the midst of it all, she came. She looked weak, her eyes closed. Cersai stormed out because of the Elf King and his insistent baggering. He returned with his mate in his arm

  • I was never Human   Rested enough

Unknown's POV:I found my sisters in our spell room, going over a new concoction we've been working on. One stood over the cauldron that puffed up with smoke, with a water like substance that held a hint of light pink color, swirling around the bowl. She had dark brown hair that curled wildly. The other other stood by the shelves that held more of our books, her fingers quickly moving over the spines. Her hair was long, straight, and jet black. I walked completely into the room."We have a problem."I said abruptly. Their movements haulted and their eyes found mine."What's the problem?"One asked. The other, by the books noticed the book I held in my hand, and immediately frowned. She stepped closer in my direction."What is that?"She questioned. I lifted the book up in my hand so that they both could see it clearly. "This is an old spell book, one that stays in the library."They stayed silent."Something in it called out to me. I looked through it and found a spell missing. I fel

Sebastian's POV:It's been months since I've heard from Kwen. After our close encounter, which I don't regret, but also regretted severely, we haven't spoken since. I understood, but I was also disappointed. Although I wanted to be more than just friends, I enjoyed her company, and would've accepted even that instead of nothing. From what I've heard, there's been many things going on back at Blackcresent and the royal pack concerning Kwen. I never wanted to overwhelm her or put her in the position of choosing, so I've kept my distance, although she stays on my mind continuously. She said that she would be easily forgotten, especially when I found my ny mate, but I don't believe that to be true at all. I remember everything about her, and my fingertips still tingled when I thought too hard about the contact they made with her body. My lips vibrated from the memory of her soft, plump lips against mine, and my tongues hunger to taste her again. I've kept to myself since. Surprisingly eno

  • I was never Human   Oxymoron

Connor's POV: After that humiliating defeat, I knew I needed to take things a step further. I didn't kid myself in believing that any of my men survived, and to be quite frank, I didn't care. I was alpha. I can do and say anything I want. At least they died with some honor. But, as much as I thought of myself, I thought of Loren. Loren. She will reap what she's sown. Although it was my men duties to give their lives for mine, the fact that she took it from them was offence enough. After all these years, I believed I was in control of everything. But as time continued, and stories began to unravel, I learned that I was not the only author in this story. My next thought went to Kwen. I had her, yet she slipped through my fingers. For years I believed love to be a liability--something that made you weak. I gave into my wolf's desire for a mate to keep the peace. I admit slight affection for her, and I honor her gift and sacrifice that came in the form of my son. That was all. When s

  • I was never Human   Don't give me a reason

Kwen's POV:I turned from the direction Ava vanished into, making my way towards where the warriors came barging in. Elijah gently grabbed my arm. I looked back at him, confused."Are you really gonna let her go??!"He looked hurt and angry. Nothing had happened to him, yet he was angry... and it was on my behalf. I turned fully to look at him. I looked up, still needing to stand on tip-toe, even with Halo present, touching his cheek and smiled."She won't get away from me, but you can breath now. I'm not going anywhere... never again."I saw the moment my words reached the place it had needed to. He ended up letting go of a breath he hadn't known he held. His shoulders relaxed slightly. He gave a small nod. I looked around to everyone. My family looked at me with so much love and admiration. I would've had a whole love fest, but there were some asses that we needed to kick."I'd love to give all of you some love, but we have to attend to some things first. It would seem that certain

Flashback: At The Lounge...I smiled the moment I finally made it face to face with Sebastian. I saw two other new comers at the table and assumed they were with him."Nice to see you again, Sebastian."He said nothing at first. All he did was stare. I tilted my head, confused as to why he said not

King Marcus's POV:Back in the states: In the Royal Kingdom...My shoes clacked on the marble floors, as I made my way to the throne room. Edward's POV:This is fucking ridiculous!! There's no way this nobody is this powerful!! She held the entire room hostage. No one could move their body.
