Mag-log inI was shocked, to say the least. So because of this thing called a "mate", my mom got left heart broken and alone with me?
"It turns out that that very same day I went to your mother, she was coming to me to tell me about you. She never got the chance to because I went first to tell her about everything that was going on. I'm not gonna lie, I can understand why she didn't tell me, but at the same time, I really wish she did. I've missed out on 12 whole years of your life because she didn't say anything." He was frowning as if he were angry about the situation. I'm a little upset about the revelation as well, but he has no room to be angry with her. "I don't blame her at all. You just got finished telling me that you told her just moments before that for your entire relationship with her, you had been lying about who you are. Then told her you found your soulmate and that you're basically a king that needs to watch over his people and told her you couldn't decide who you loved more. If that was me, I wouldn't have said anything either. So you really don't have a leg to stand on." He stared at me baffled by my words. I shrugged. "Too blunt?" He scoffed and chuckled. "Yeaaaa. You're definitely Minnie's daughter." We sat in silence for awhile. "Look. To be honest, I'm not sure what's gonna happen here, but what I do know is that I don't want to be hurt. I'm not here to start or cause trouble. If you plan on not sticking around, just drop me off back home. My aunt is more than capable of taking care of me. We can pretend none of this even happened and go about our lives as strangers. Besides, you said it yourself, I don't even have a wolf. So there's no need for me to be here." He looked at me confused. "What are you talking about? You're my daughter. I wouldn't leave-" "I'm sure you've said those same words to my mother and we both know what happened. You left. I can't bare losing another parent, so if you don't plan on being one to me, just let me go. I... I can't handle that right now." Tears poured down my face again, hot and burning. My eyes never leaving his, so he knew I meant every word. I can't even imagine having another parent or anyone other than my mom. I don't know if anyone could ever know and love me the way she did. But what scares me the most is the idea that he doesn't even wanna be my dad. He didn't even try to fight for mom. Why would he fight for me? I couldn't bare the thought. He grabbed my hand into his two massive ones and kept a steady heated gaze fixed on me. "Kwenali Emerie Moore. Though you do not have my last name, you are mine. I will not ever let you go. You are not going anywhere, lest without me. I have missed 12 years of your short, young life and I am so sorry that I did. But I'm here now. Let me be here for you now. Please allow me to be the father I wasn't able to be. I wasn't there for the first half of your life. Let me be there for the rest." I seen and felt the sincerity in his words and with it, my dam broke. I sobbed. My dad finally wrapped me up in his arms, sat me on his lap and let me cry. I have no idea how long I cried for. Once I was finally calm, I tried to get off his lap but he held me hostage in his arms. I looked up at him confused but he just smiled at me. I let it go and snuggled in further. I was still wearing my mom's hoodie that held her scent. It felt as if I was being comforted by both my parents... a dream that will never have a reality. But I'll enjoy this substitute, for now. That's when the man named Dr. Mason comes back into my room. He's handsome too, but a lot leaner than my dad is but just as tall. He has long red hair pulled into a low ponytail drapped over his shoulder. He wore a white lab coat with a stethoscope around his neck. He wore a kind smile and seemed a bit older than my dad. I, again tried to get off my dad's lap but he wasn't having it. "You can sit here while he asks you some questions." I looked up at my dad then over to the doctor. He smiled. "Yes. You may stay where you are. May I know the name of this beautiful little girl." I blushed and smiled at him. He had a calming aura as well, and he smelled of jasmine and fresh water. I liked being around him. "My name is Kwenali but call me Kwen." His smile widened. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Dr. Mason and your father here wanted me to check in on you. You were asleep for a long time and it worried him. Are you ok?" I nodded my head. "Yes. I'm ok now. I haven't been able to get much sleep because I was looking after my mama. But now she gone. I was also crying alot, so I was probably just mentally and emotionally exhausted." Both Dr. Mason and my dad looked at me like I said something crazy. "You are quite smart I see. I wouldn't have expected you to say that to me." I smiled brightly. "I'm very smart. I'm going to college soon." "Oh really? Well you do have a few more years before that." I frowned and shook my head. "No, I don't. I start this fall. We'll, actually I don't know how I'll do that since I'm so far away from home." I just realized that I'm nowhere near the university I picked to go to school. A few universities wanted me in their medical programs because my entrance exams were top ranked. Now I don't even know if I'll be able to go to my first pick. Once I came out of my thoughts, I noticed the doc and my dad staring at me. "What?" "Umm. Are you serious about going to college in the fall. You're 12?" My dad questioned looking skeptical. "Yeah I'm serious. I graduated high-school right before mommy passed away. She couldn't see me walk in person, but auntie set her up with a laptop, and she recorded the whole thing so Mommy could see it. Before that, I took about 5 different entrance exams for college so I could go to med school. I want to become a doctor so I never have to watch a person I love fade away like that ever again... or anyone for that matter. All 5 schools accepted me, but I chose my favorite. I'm supposed to be starting in late August." They both were silent. The doctor began to chuckle lightly. "Well, well alpha. It seems your daughter is highly intelligent. I would've never saw this coming." My dad looked at me in surprise and then slowly smiled, carrasing my check with his finger. "It seems my daughter is a little genius. Congratulations, little one. I'm very proud of you." I smiled back at him. "Thank you." We stared at each other for a little while longer. "I have my diploma and my acceptance letters here with me if you want to verify it. But we can also call my aunt later and let her know. Maybe she'll know how to deal with the school thing." My dad nodded. "Ok. Well talk about that later." "Um, Kwen?" I turned to meet the doctor's gaze. "Can you tell me how your hair became silver?" I shrugged. "I grayed early?" I snickered at my own joke and Dr. Mason smiled. "When did it change colors?" I frowned at him confused by his question. "What do you mean by changed colors. I was born with Silver hair." His eyes nearly popped outta of his head and I felt my father's hands tighten around me. What's the problem? It's just gray hair. Everyone's hair will turn this color when they get older. I just so happened to skip a couple of steps. "I-I see. Do you have any baby pictures of you that I can see later. Right now, I'm gonna give you a small check-up, ok?" I nodded my head and allowed the check up to happened. We talked all through the examine and by the end of it, I was tired all over again. The doc and my dad both left me alone to sleep, and once again, I was off into dream land.Sierra's POV:Ever since my last interaction with everyone, I've stayed silent. I don't care for the way they've all turned on me, IF they were even for me to start. I was given specific instructions from my grandpa on the matter of the summons. I didn't think I'd actually have to use the contingencies we discussed, but the court was beginning to sway in favor of the bastard instead of my grandfather.Flashback...I sealed myself in my room, flew to my bed and cried. No one came looking for me and no one cared to stop me. She needs to go! Maybe when she's no longer a factor, would everything finally go back to normal. I sat up, wiping at my eyes angrily, picked up my phone and called my grandpa. After a few rings he answered. Phone call:Grandpa: Hello my beautiful granddaughter. To what do I owe this lovely suprise?I sniffled into the phone. I remembered mommy saying that grandpa played a part in trying to kill daddy and Danny, and that he has her locked away. But maybe I can help.
Unknown POV:Phone messages:Unknown: It's done. She's been taken and is currently en route to next destination. Will follow up in a few hours. - TCT...I looked up from my phone, swiftly putting it away. I braced myself for the mayhem I knew would occur the moment it was learned she was missing. I've enjoyed the show that had been the summons. If it wasn't so risky, I'd thank Councilmen Gaines for introducing me to the most prized possession of our little "clique." Never in a million years would I, or anyone else, think that a being such as herself could or would ever exist. Yet, there she stood in her greatness, almost begging me to have her. She was tantalizing. With the information given today, I'm sure many of us will be doing our own research on this mysterious Chosen named Cimone.I stood behind everyone as they tried to figure out what happened and where to look first. I played the part of a concerned bystander. I thought my act
Kwen's POV: Continued Before the meeting...After Miza and my grandparents left my room, I began to get ready. I was able to oil my body with my perfume oil and dress. I was about to start my hair when another knock came from my door. She stepped in. I didn't have to turn around to know who it was. I sat at the desk, looking into the mirror that sat atop it, as I started my hair."Good morning, Eve."I saw her face come into view in the mirror."Good morning, Kwen.""I'm gonna assume you have something to tell me, too? Everyone does these days."I said, as I chuckled. She smiled at me and nodded. I turned to give her my undivided attention."You must give them your truth.""Huh?"I said, confused by what she meant."At the summons today, they will pry and ask questions. Tell them everything. Tell them who your mother was and what she meant to your father. Tell them about your life with wolves. We wolves are full of ourselves. We need to be knocked down a peg. Let them trap themselves
Kwen's POV:Earlier that morning...There was a knock on my door. I called out."Come in my loving grandparents!!"They opened the door with a smile. Grandpa chuckled."I keep forgetting that."I shrugged."Good! That means I can keep surprising you."I walked over, hugging both of them."Wassup, my loves?"I asked. Their smiles slowly fell from their faces. They each took a hand and guided me back to my bed and sat down."Uhh, ok. This is not worrisome at all."I said sarcastically. Grandma pinched my cheek, playfully. I snorted. I turned to my grandpa who sat looking a little more worried than I expected. I wrapped my hand around his big one. Our eyes met."Wassup, G? Why's my super grandpa looking like this?"He smiled. His large finger came up and gently touched my cheek."I love you with all my heart, Kwenali. You know that, right?"I frowned."Of course. I love you too, grandpa, but what's wrong? Why do you sound like this?"He dropped his hand from my face, and his eyes fell to
Kwen's POV:Mannnnn, when I tell you I'm over all the spooky shit, I mean that. We all pulled up to a large gate that was covered in vines and surrounded by trees and bushes. The gravel road crunched underneath the weight of the cars. I assume they have some way of seeing us because as soon as we stopped in front of the gate, it opened up. We were still inside the car, yet I heard the creaking of the door opening. We drove through. Either they don't care or this is how it supposed to look, but the trees grew and outstretched across the road overtop, pretty much blocking out the newly hung moon above. The driveway ended in a circle around a massive fountain in front of the large building. It gave old mansion, and even older money. The entire building was made of cobblestone and brick. It had huge walls and many windows where no light shined through. "What kinda spooky shit is this? Should we just turn around and act like we ain't see it?"Angel said from behind me. I chuckled dryly."
Owen's POV:I have to get out. The women that has been keeping me, their sanity looks to be slipping. Since they returned with no luck on the last woman I was sent to seduce and retrieve, they've been at each other's throats. The one called Loren has been barking orders, while the one named Piper has been giving the cold shoulder and side eyeing her. I've noticed the tension. Hopefully, it gets to a point where their focus is no longer on me, so that I can use it as an opportunity to escape. I have to warn Kwen. I'm not sure how she's involved with this, but she's unaware that there are enemies on all fronts. A few days ago, I was on my way back to my cell that they like to classify as a "room," when I heard a conversation happening in a ankther space in the building. I've been with Loren and Piper for almost a year now. I figured they trusted me now. I've learned it wasn't trust, but rather magic that kept me confined within these walls. I still have no clue where I am, or even what
