Kwen's POV: I was blessed with the gift of Connor not returning, and was able to sleep alone, comfortably. The next morning, I woke up. I noticed while taking my bath that I had all kinds of toiletries in the bathroom. I was able to brush my teeth and wash my face. I checked the closet and found a ton of clothing. Most of it was all top of the line wear and heels or flats. I wanted there to be at least one pair of sneakers, but there wasn't any. Just some tennis shoes that would get ran through, if I ever thought to run through them woods. He at least thought to buy some lounge clothes, although he had no large t-shirts for me to wear. I grabbed a pair of the tan lounge pants that was flowy and had an elastic waist band with a drawstring. The pants pooled around my feet, almost covering my toes. I put on a sports bra that was in a drawer, and kept the shirt that I slept in on, tying it up in a knot in the front, tucking it up. I pulled my hair back and clipped it up with a large hair

  • I was never Human   Implode

Heather's POV:Flashback: a few weeks ago...When I first arrived at the Library of Alphas, I was astonished by the vast and many books. Our history was long and prosperous, though it wasn't without its wars. From what I've read, we have been plagued by greed and superiority complexs that spands generations. As much as I simply wanted to enjoy the wealth of centuries of past lives that came before me, it was only one life I was in search for. I scoured the entire library, looking for the earliest accounts. Considering Cimone was around the time the first King of our people was throned, I'm sure there wouldn't really be any knowledge before that time, if any, very limited. In the Chosen's library, the way in which we organize our books is from oldest to you youngest. The very old at the top and furthest back in our shelves. I hoped it would be the same here, and thankfully, it was. This library, like our own, was dimly lit and controlled temp, to protect the archives that laid here. I

  • I was never Human   House in the woods

Steph's POV:My hands wrapped around the small, curvy frame of my mate. She's so incredibly beautiful that it's sometimes hard to look at her. Her light brown eyes made their way to mine. I smiled down at her. A pink blushed graced her lightly tan cheeks."What?" She asked. I simply smiled."Nothing. Just love looking at you."She giggled. She reached up as best she could, wrapping her arms around my neck. I had to lean down for her to reach, but I didn't mind. I'd get a bad back before I let my nate not be able to touch me however she pleased. She locked her hands in place. Her face held a teasing smirk."Oh really? All you like to do is look? Is my mate a peeping tom?"I chuckled, holding her closer to me. My hands moved down to hold onto her hips, and she had plenty. A rumble left my chest, low and vibrating."For you? Any day, any time. But I do more than just look. Care for a demonstration?"I said, as I slapped her ass. She looked around, embarrassed, swatting my chest."Omg, s

  • I was never Human   Kwen's gone

Cersai's POV:I kept a trained eye on Kwen the whole night. She gave me subtle glances, touches, and head nods to keep me and Reign at bay, but it was hard. Man after man wanted a dance with my mate. I was finally able to relax when she decided she had enough and took a seat. I was pulled in many directions, each one was away from where I wanted to be.I wanted to be with Kwen.I saw when her aunt joined her. They seem to really enjoy each other's company. I was talking to a few of the heads of house of the last of the pure blood vampires. I have no qualms with vampires, I just couldn't careless about what they were discussing."Ah, Prince Cersai. It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person."One man said. A few years back, Vampire history was added to the curriculum of all high society. We needed to learn about our new found allies?? I understood that there hadn't been any new wars between us, and the new Vampire King was actually a good guy, but I knew better. Not everyone wanted

  • I was never Human   Thank you Kwen( ***graphic***)

Ismelda's POV:My eyes slide into slits the moment I watched Lucius cut in between my father and Kwen. He seemed oddly close to her. My eyes glanced over to Prince Cersai, and I could practically hear his jaw clenching to keep himself to himself."Are you jealous, your highness?"I scoffed, hearing Seth's words in my ear."No."I said, never taking my eyes off the two dancing on the floor. My father was making his way back to his throne. Seth huffed out a chuckle."Then why do you stare?"I slowly turned to face him. He wore a smug look. I don't know what's been up with him as of late, but the kind, easy going man I knew him to be, was slowly chipping away. Almost as if a mask, that has been on for so long, began to slip. If so, he wore it well. Maybe even at one point, he began to believe it himself."It is not that I gawk in envy, rather I was measuring how long it would take for Prince Cersai to rip your son away from his mate? With the way things look, I say he doesn't have much t

  • I was never Human   Death

Kwen's POV:I kept a close eye on Nina and her sketchy family. I sat at a corner table, shoes off, sipping on a wine. These people ain't serve not a lick of food, and your girl was hungry. All that socializing had my stomach touching my back. Everyone else was out and about. I watched Miza and Steph dance. They were sooooo cute together. Miza wore her red and black hair up in a messy bun of sorts, curling the hair around the perimeter of her head. Her dress was gorgeous. It was a deep burgundy silk slip, covered with all black lace. I knew she was a curvy little thing, but baby girl had a set of hips on her, and Steph had a hold of them. I chuckled, smiling at them. Kera and Elijah look majestic together. He towered over damn near everyone. Kera is a tall, curvy woman who was a little more slender than the rest of us, other than Isabell. My girl wore a sliver silk dress like the vampire princess, except hers was short, about mid thigh. The dress had long winged sleeves with a plunge n

  • I was never Human   Do something!!

Brandon's POV:I watched as Sierra left the room crying. I have never felt more like a failure in my life than in that moment. I have absolutely failed all of my children, in one way or another, and I can't seem to fix it. Kwen's words weighed on my mind.Is that how she saw me?Was that who I was?

  • I was never Human   Permeate

Cersai's POV:It's been a hard couple of weeks. Since Kwen has come back from her mystery adventure, where she brought back Miza and Melody, and James's parents have returned, Kwen has been preoccupied with training. I've barely been able to see her. It's beginning to affect Reign and I. She trains

  • I was never Human   Rebranded

Miles away from the royal pack...I just got off the phone with Beta Andrew. The King would like for my mate and I to return. Apparently, there are a few young ones that are in need of my mate's guidance. Sounds as if things back home are becoming more and more interesting. Plus, it would be nice

  • I was never Human   Need her back

Edward's POV:I kept a friendly face on display as I looked around at the visitors who showed up. I shook hands, greeted guest, and handed out vague promises of future conversations like it was water. I nursed on a drink that sat idoly in my hand most of the night, slipping in and out of the crowd.
