Julissa suddenly recalled how things were when she was with Liam. Since childhood, she would never let him see her without washing her face first. Whenever he came over to help her with homework, she’d put on her prettiest dress and chew gum for fresh breath.

Even up until the day they broke up, she never dared burp in front of him—too embarrassed.
