AUTHOR'S POV "He has been sleeping for too long. Are you sure he is alright?" Ezra asked Aldric worriedly as the man made his way through to the living room with a small plate of sliced fruits. Ezra collected it gratefully but he was more concerned about his friend's state. After arriving at Caldenmoor, he had decided against going to Caelen's place and instead wanted to check on Cole first and to also create some time to think about his next course of action before facing the vampire family again. But it had been three hours already since he came here. It was past noon too so it only made sense he needed to be worried. Did Riven deal with him that much? Goodness, he swore in his heart to make him regret that even though he didn't know how. "Hmm." Aldric looked away without providing much explanation as to why Cole wasn't down yet. He sat down and crossed his legs. Ezra's phone rang for the fourteenth time but he refused to pick up. "Are you just going to keep staring?"

AUTHOR'S POVThe phone vibrated continuously on the stand beside the bed. It had already been ignored at first but after not being able to bear the noise, Aldric reached out for it. The screen had Ezra's name plastered on it and he looked at Cole who was wrapped in a blanket yet curled into his embrace, sleeping soundly and snoring a bit lightly. He got off the bed gently and went to answer the call outside. ~ Hey Cole, I just saw your message. Are you alright? The ~ "He is fine. He is with me." Aldric replied with an aloof voice as he made his way down the stairs and finally to the kitchen where the meals he had prepared some hours ago were still there. "Aldric?" "Hmm." "Oh my goodness, what happened? Where is Cole?" "He is asleep. I brought him home with me at midnight because Riven forcefully delivered him to his father's house in a harsh manner after knowing you were in Valden." He leaned against the counter and folded his arms. "Oh fuck. Did he hurt him?

AUTHOR'S POV "I bet he didn't make you feel this fucking good."Oh, if Aldric only fucking knew he had never been fucked so good since the first time they met. Aldric was annoyingly slow with his pace. Cole didn't know whatever it was that Aldric had rubbed against his hole but it was begging to be rammed in and out mercilessly. An earnest desire grew within him so fast...to be destroyed by Aldric. "He made me feel fucking good! He touched me in places I have never been touched and literally worshiped my feet!" Cole blurted out. "I don't know who you think you are but your touch means nothing to me!" Aldric paused his fingers. Cole blinked and tried to look behind me when he noticed the silence. "Really?" He was flipped over like a pancake, causing Cole to groan even harder. Aldric was more than furious but he was doing a great job concealing his reaction. He knew Cole had said those words to trigger him but he was still mad. He leaned over and grabbed Cole's chin.

AUTHOR'S POV Cole turned off the shower and wiped his wet hair down his shoulder. He exhaled. It was almost 2 a.m and yet he wasn't sleeping. What was he even supposed to say? He thought to himself as he rested his hands against the wall and lowered his head. He got caught up in this and now he didn't know what else to do. He was angry but with who? Ezra? Himself? Riven? The Universe perhaps for not guiding and protecting him from this mess?All he had ever wanted to do was just to protect his best friend but here he was, suffering for it. He sighed and turned on the shower again to wash his hands and wet his body. The door suddenly opened, causing him to jump aside. Aldric stood there, scanning his entire body as if it was some kind of random object. His eyes dragged up and down his figure. Cole was so flabbergasted for a minute that it took him that long to remember covering his little dick but then what about his ass? What was he even doing here without knocking? "I prepa

The poor boy staggered and unexpectedly fell to the floor, interrupting an ongoing conversation and getting the attention of those who were around — Caelen, all three brothers, Ana and finally Aldric. For a moment, the whole room stilled. Aldric's eyes instantly darkened upon seeing the bruises on Cole's knees. "My goodness," Ana muttered, eyeing Riven and as well pitying Cole's state. What had come over Riven? "Hold on...hold on," Lucien rushed up quickly, setting himself between a furious Riven and a scared Cole whose face was buried sideways. "What's happening? Riven, what the fuck is wrong with you? Are you drunk?? Why would you push him like that?" "Maybe you should ask him what he has done." Caius was already next to Cole, helping him stand up to his feet. But the truth was that Cole didn't feel safe near the brothers. They were probably this nice to him because they had not yet known what the real issue was.
