It was 9:10 in the morning and none of them was at the location she had sent out to them. Didn’t they get the message?

She sat in the backseat of the cab, her eyes darting around when a car drove past or cornered the shopping mall.

Her phone was in her hands but it was still switched off. She wasn’t ready to put it back, all she had to do was wait for an extra hour to make sure she didn’t leave before they arrived.

She nodded to the country music which played on the radio, but right now she had given up on any of them showing up.

“It’s 10:15 ma’am. Do you still want to wait?” The driver asked looking at the road ahead.

Renata let out a deep sigh. She sat up from her reclined position.

“I doubt if they will show up. Let’s leave,” she said.
