Vodka to the rescue

"Could life get any worse?" she hissed, chugging down the vodka that burned her throat, her eyes intently skimming around the bar like she was in search of the answers to the problem plaguing her life.

"Marry a Wang indeed. I must be a fool to consider it."

Said Huang Wei who was trying to escape reality with alcohol

"Bartender!!!" she yelled turning towards the bartender who was just across the counter pouring a glass of beer for a middle-aged man that just arrived at the bar.

"Two additional glasses of whatever you just gave me!!" she said yelled

The Bartender looked at her with furrowed brows, wondering why she was yelling, it was obvious that she didn't belong here, plus this was the first time he saw her here.

he brought 2 more shots of mixed vodka.

"here," he said dropping the glasses of vodka on the table.

"Be careful with that one ma'am"

"What?!" she asked

"Never mind" he responded with a smile seeing how she hungrily took both shots in a whiff.

she raised her head slowly once again after dropping both glasses on the counter

"you know what?" she said this time in a lower tone looking at the bartender who could not relate to what the young lady was going through even if he wanted.

The Bartender looked at her intently waiting for her to say whatever she wanted to say that drew he attention towards her at the same time praying she wasn't among the category of people who couldn't handle alcohol.

"Give me the entire bottle of Vodka"

He would have refused if it was in his place to refuse a customer's order, the last thing he wanted was another query from his boss usually based on reports from drunk fellas, who suddenly felt he was the cause of their problems.

He reluctantly brought out a bottle of Vodka pushing it forward toward her on the counter

Her yelling had drawn the attention of someone else at the bar.

Cheng Ling was just glad that he could leave that unreasonable Jerk who was just fortunate that he was the CEO of the Wang empire, he didn't think someone as stupid as him was worthy of becoming the CEO of such a great empire, To make matters worse he still had to follow him around even to the restroom.

Wang Bolin had stepped on the toes of many elites in the country with a good reputation for using and dumping girls belonging to an Elite class which was why Chairman Huang insisted he moved around with Cheng Ling.

Wang Bolin was a centre of attraction for most girls, he was famous, handsome and rich. Most elite girls in the country went the extra mile just to gain his attention.

Being around all that drama every day was enough to make him go crazy. He just wanted to drink his fill and get back to the mansion for a good night's rest since the jerk was unavailable.

Sitting at the edge of the bar ignoring all the seductive glances he was getting from the half-naked girls at the bar, he raised his eyes to the sight of a young lady walking in with depressed shoulders.

She was putting on a green gown which was a little above her knee her ruffled hair and faded make-up highlighted her frustrated look. Yet she was still stunning. She had distinctive features that was hard to forget with a height that towered above average.

He had watched her finish 5 shots of vodka and he knew in no time she'd be wasted.

The bar was gradually becoming less noisy as people gradually went home. She checked the time it was past 12 and she was barely conscious.

He slowly approached her after she had gulped down half of the bottle's content

"Are you trying to drown yourself with alcohol?"

he asked with a deeply concerned voice which drew her attention to him

She looked at him carefully from his broad and manly shoulders to his concrete jawline which was one to kill for.

She attempted to look away but before she could look away her eyes grazed his rover blue eyes with bristle eyebrows.

The deep melodious sound of his voice which melted her heart was just the tip of the iceberg.

He had the physique of a bodyguard, his black curled hair, full brows and fine jawline which looked like it was perfectly chiselled God himself was enough to keep her staring.

She was drunk but still conscious enough to know that the person standing in front of her was drop-dead handsome.

She chuckled slightly while he pulled a high stool close to hers and sat down gently.

Her heart raced significantly, she wasn't one who easily fell for guys,

"why on earth am I finding it difficult to breathe?!" she asked herself trying to avoid his concerned gaze.

Her heart skipped when he drew closer to her. "What is wrong with me? it must be the alcohol" she concluded but every fibre of her being said something different

She was never interested in men. She paid little or no attention to them and here she was admiring a total stranger.

"It must be the alcohol" she repeated to herself immediately trying to take her to leave.
