"Yes, Luna." 

As soon as his form disappeared from the door of the office, I sprang to my feet and crossed the border, shifting into my wolf almost immediately as I left Riley’s territory.

I left it all to Meadow’s strength now.

The neutral forest between Riley and Caspian’s pack was just fifteen to twenty minutes away by car, but wolves could run faster, and I knew Meadow was running too fast right now. I was hoping that before Riley’s men could catch me, I was already at Caspian’s border.

Meadow threaded the path that Riley showed me when we were younger. It would make me reach the other side faster. And I hoped the warriors following me would not think of going down this path. Riley told me he discovered this and I was the only one he had told this secret to.

I knew many years had passed and he might have told them about this way, but I was still hoping they would not remember to use this path to find me.
