Chapter 22
Rider
My cell rang. Stitch. I knew Sky was at the hospital today, so I answered it quickly. “Is she ok?” I asked. “The doctor has cleared her to go home.” He told me. I closed my eyes in disappointment and frustration. I had run out of time.
This past week had been awful. Sky refused to talk to me. When I went to her room the morning after I returned, I found it empty. Remembering the fear that jolted through my body seeing her empty room made me shudder.
I sat down on her bed waiting to see if she would return. I knew it was fucking stupid, all her stuff was gone, but I had to hope. My cell buzzed, “Hey, can we talk?” It was Lawrence.
“Can’t right now, looking for Sky.” I replied.
After a while, I realized she wasn’t coming back, then I got mad. Creek came to find me. “She left last night brother, Tank and Kirsty drove her to their
Chapter 23Bonnie“Here.” Tank walked over to me and dropped an envelope in front of me.“What’s this?” I asked, picking it up and inspecting it.“A gift.” He answered cryptically.I lifted the seal on the envelope and pulled out a ticket.“This is an airline ticket.” I stated.“Yeah, the brothers clubbed together, think of it as a going away gift.” He shrugged.I smiled, “thank you Tank.” I had been worried about how I was going to get home. I didn’t have a lot of money as I was only a prospect, so I didn’t get paid a lot. I had looked into getting the bus, but it would take more than a full day to get back home.“Will you thank everybody for me?” I asked.“You don’t need to hide from Rider, he’s away on club business. Won’t be back until the day after tom
Chapter 24RiderWatching her go from angry to confused in about 10 seconds had been amusing.“I fucking knew something was going on- I knew when you weren’t there when I said goodbye to everyone, even when you sent me the message wishing me a good flight, how did I not fucking see this coming!” she yelled, angry with herself.“You should have known that I wasn’t going to let you go.” I told her.“You don’t have a fucking choice!” she yelled again.“Is there a problem here?” one of the flight attendants walked over to us.“No, no problem, my girlfriend is just a little surprised to see me here.” I smiled. She eyed us both suspiciously. “Miss, is this true?” she asked. Sky looked at me, obviously deciding what to do for the best, if she said no, I probably wouldn’t have been kicked off the flight and
Chapter 25Bonnie“Bonnie!”A familiar voice called as I made my way through the den. The den is what we called the main room in the club, when Bane made Prez, he had a friend who came in and designed the whole place for us. The old Prez wasn’t great and bought a lot of shit into our club. Bane finally had enough and challenged him. He won, and the old Prez had to leave. As soon as he was in as the Prez, he hired a skip and had my brothers move all the old shit that the old Prez had bought with the blood money. He started hiring out my brothers to work as security and used the money to buy a bar, he had some of the old ladies work there and had brothers on security. The bar ended up doing really well and within the year, he had made enough money to buy another business. He had been our Prez for the last 15 years now, and had never been challenged, everyone respected him.“Carbon!” I called ba
Chapter 26Rider“I haven’t dismissed you yet.” Bane called to Sky as she walked to the door. I could see her glassy eyes and knew she was about to cry, she wouldn’t do it in here though, I knew it must have been a battle to let her brothers allow her to prospect for them, let alone give her a patch. She wouldn’t want them to see her as weak, so I did what I had to. I stood up, taking Bane’s attention off my girl and bringing it to me.“This isn’t what we discussed.” I told him.Bane’s eyes widened as he took in my words.“No, it wasn’t, but she needs to know. I’m not fucking around, patching her in, and putting our emblem on for her cut, for her then to request a transfer in a few weeks.” He explained.“I understand, but I thought that was something you would discuss in your office.” I snarled.“Why?
Chapter 27BonnieAfter being completely humiliated in church, I ran back to my room. I had heard Rider standing up for me as I ran out of the room, begging myself to control my tears. I didn’t want anyone to see me cry. It wasn’t long after I had thrown myself on my bed when I heard Rider at my door. He told me I had half an hour before he came back, I knew I wouldn’t be able to get rid of him again, so I needed to get my ass up and get shit done.My humiliation soon turned to anger at my rejection in front of all my brothers, and I knew I didn’t want to face them anymore. Without thinking it through properly, I grabbed my suitcase out of my closet and started to throw my stuff in. I was done. I wanted out.Rider knocked back on soon enough, I knew he would be back so I unlocked the door so he could just come in. “It’s open.” I called. He opened the door and walked in. My
Chapter 28RiderThe flight was quicker than last time. I couldn’t hold my happiness back that Sky had chosen to come back with me to my club. What Bane did was sneaky, but it worked. I knew he wasn’t going to give her a full patch, not when she was debating where she wanted to be. I wanted to try and explain it to Sky, but in the end, this way worked out better for me.We landed easily enough, and Axel was there to pick us up from the airport. “Hey brother!” He called, when he saw us leaving the terminal. “Hey.” I said, “still not talking much I see,” he smirked at me. “Bonnie, nice to see you, sunshine, how is the leg?” he asked my girl, “it’s almost all better now, thanks Axel.” She smiled. We put our cases in the back of the truck and headed down the long road that would eventually lead me back home. I held Sky’s hand the entire
Chapter 29BonnieI had been back at the Titan Kings club for almost two weeks. I had heard from Carbon, even Fury text me to check in, but I hadn’t heard from Bane. I was still kind of angry with the way he treated me, but I knew I would have to speak to him soon.Rider was also pushing me to make a decision on what club to be a member of. Ink had sat me down on my own a few days after we arrived and offered me a patch too, if I wanted to stay here with Rider. I was grateful that he wanted me to stay here, but was the reason just because I was in a relationship with his son?I did enjoy being here, Ink had given me some jobs to do, and I spent a lot of time with Rider’s brothers, and of course I have Kirsty and Bella, even Julia too although I don’t see her as often. I do really like being here, but my mind keeps wondering if I’m here because Ink thinks I’m good or if it’s because I&rs
Chapter 30RiderMy girls beautiful face paled.Anger quickly replaced the shock and she jumped up suddenly, knocking the chair down that she had just been occupying. She started pacing up and down the office.“I don’t want to see her.” Sky told him finally.“She’s missed you.” Bane tried to defend her mother.“She missed me so much that she hasn’t spoken to me in, what, 7 years?” she cried defiantly.“I know what she did was wrong, she knows it too, but she wants you to hear her side of things.” He continued.“No. I won’t see her. She’s dead to me.” Sky shouted, tears welling up in her eyes. I couldn’t bare to see her like this.“That’s enough.” I told them. I waited for them to calm down before speaking again. “Sky has made it clear that she isn’t interested in
