Rider
My cell rang. Stitch. I knew Sky was at the hospital today, so I answered it quickly. “Is she ok?” I asked. “The doctor has cleared her to go home.” He told me. I closed my eyes in disappointment and frustration. I had run out of time.
This past week had been awful. Sky refused to talk to me. When I went to her room the morning after I returned, I found it empty. Remembering the fear that jolted through my body seeing her empty room made me shudder.
I sat down on her bed waiting to see if she would return. I knew it was fucking stupid, all her stuff was gone, but I had to hope. My cell buzzed, “Hey, can we talk?” It was Lawrence.
