Chapter 4

ALEXI

It’s been a week now since my encounter with the drunk Alpha. He surprised me. Even in his drunken state, he put up a good fight. His style and form are definitely something that matches mine. His discipline on the other hand. That could use work.

When I saw him after he called me out, I had to stop. His eyes. This color of almost chocolate gold. I had to force myself to break the lock. I was supposed to be pissed. The guy I had on the ground was about to give up the location of something I needed badly. If it wasn't for the drunk, I would have gotten it out of him. But instead, I had to spend the next three days tracking him down again.

I should've killed the Alpha and I could've while he was on his back. But I looked at his face and what I felt confused me. I mean, I appreciate a handsome man, sure. But there was something.... Like all his features were perfect. His rugged skin flawless. His hair so dark and silky, my fingers wanted to grip it. When he looked into my eyes after ripping off my hood, I was hit with this masculine scent. Like musk and fresh leather. It hit my nose like a brick. It was doing something inside me. I needed to shut it off. But instead of killing him, I knocked him out. I left him there. I had to find the guy who got away.

As I walk around the town, I fight the urge to find him. My mission is more important than some handsome drunk. I have a death to avenge and I will complete it. My father commands it since it's his death I'm avenging.

My name is Alexi Torrent. Daughter of Alpha Draco Torrent. Leader of the once most powerful pack in the Northern Hemisphere. That was until the Caledon battle. Now we've been reduced to no less then rogues. I have no pack. We scattered to the wind. My father was killed by the Luna of White Rock. My mission? To make sure she and all of the Alphas pay with their lives.

So here I am. Sitting in the woods. Squatting next to a small fire. Poking at it. I'm waiting for the one thing that will make sure all these Alphas stay dead.

I hear a twig snap and stand. I reach into my pocket with a gloved hand slowly and pull out a set of silver knuckles. I hold my breath as a dark figure comes out of the night between the trees.

"Relex. It's just me." The tall, well-built man with blonde hair stands on the other side of the fire. He fixes his half ponytail and pulls his bag off his shoulder.

I scowl, putting my knuckles away. "Did you get them?" I grit.

"Yeah." He opens his bag. "It wasn't easy. The place was more guarded than we thought." He pulls out a metal box and hands it to me. "What do you want with those anyway."

I turn and open the box to reveal four rows of liquid silver nitrate bullets. "Revenge."

"You know it's suicide. Your father wouldn't want you doing this?" The man stood.

I pulled out my gun and loaded the bullets into it. Putting the rest in my inside pocket. I aimed my gun. "My father was going to kill the Alliance. Just because they killed him first, doesn't mean that plan is dead."

"Alexi, going against the Alliance? They'll kill you before you get one shot." He pleaded.

I turn and face him. "No, they won't because I will not die until I see the life drain from each and every one of their eyes."

I turn on my heels. "Thanks for your help." I walk into the black of night.

It's the truth. My hatred is my shield. I trust only myself to complete this mission. If I have to, I'll shoot through the entire Alliance to get to Anna Riker. I refuse to die until she dies before me.

You may think I'm sick, twisted, but I'm not. I loved my father. He was my life when my mother died. He taught me to be brave. To be strong. He taught me the way of the Dragons. Told me every day, that I was to be the first Alpha Female. I was born to rule over the world. He tried to give me the world too. Taught me how to be disciplined. Taught me to hate. To rule without fear of judgment or ridicule. He taught me that your only as powerful as the amount of blood spilled in your honor. To rule with loyalty, you must demand respect. Whoever comes before you must be forced to their knees. Must never show weakness. I loved my father. He was the idol of my eye. And now he's gone. A year and a half and I still mourn.

I sit on a rooftop, watching the stars. A tear rolls down my cheek. I pull out a bullet. Twist it between my fingers. "This is for you father. I won't fail you." I watch the grey metal swirl in its casing and tuck it back in my pocket. I rest my hands on my knees.

I was going over my plan when my thoughts were interrupted with chocolate brown hair, solid muscles and golden eyes. I quickly give my head a shake and stand. I walk to the edge of the rooftop. I settle a foot on the ledge and look down.

Looking out on the town, I jump off the roof. Landing on a fire escape, running down the ladder.

I fix my unruly curls in my hood and pull it up over my head. I walk down the street. People walk around me with the odd second glance. I'm sure I stand out even in this criminal pit of despair.

I walk to a Porsche parked on the road. Looking around, I pull out a small device that pops the lock. I get in and place the device in the ignition and the car roars to life. I throw it in gear and drive off. Driving out of town to meet with the ones who control it and who can get me the information I need.

After about an hour, I pull onto a winding road in the woods. A barn sits nestled in the trees. A few glimpses of lights in the windows with shadows walking around.

I get out of the car and cautiously look around. I slowly walk to the bottom of the steps. The front door flies open.

"Were you followed?" The deep voice demanded.

I walk up the steps. "No." I glare as I push past the large, muscle-bound body.

"Did you get them?" The man followed behind me. Pulling his long blonde hair into a pony tail. "Alexi."

I turn and look into his one blue eye. The other covered in a black patch. "Yes, Ian. I got them."

He sat at the roughshod table. His crew standing and leaning in various places around the room. "Show me." He demanded roughly.

I pull out the box and placed it in the middle of the table. "I've taken what I need. The rest is yours. If you want more, get them yourself." I clench my teeth, throwing my hood back.

He opens the box and pulls out a bullet. "We'll need more. A lot more. Who's your contact?"

I shake my head and cross my arms. "No. Use your own men. If we can get them, I'm sure the Lycans will have no problems."

He stands. "Alexi...." He walks over. He gently raises his hand to my face then roughly grabs my hair, pulling it back. ".... I thought we were sharing...." His face mere inches from mine.

"I don't share." I seethe as I fight with his grip on my hair.

He smiles. He reaches into my coat and pulls out my gun. He looks it over and puts the barrel under my chin. "Yes....you do." He runs his lips across mine. "Tell me.... your contact...." He mumbles on my lips.

I grab my gun, twist his arm and hit him with the butt end on his head. I slam his chest into the table. My barrel buried into his spine. I lean to his ear. "I don't share." I say as I nip his ear. He squints his eyes, fighting against my hold and dazed from the blow to the head. "Now, the terms of our arrangement were, I get you the bullets, you get me locations. Do you have them?"

"You know you're turning me on, right?" He smirks.

"Do you!" I shove the gun into his back, twisting his arm. His crew is standing back watching.

"Ah....yes.... We have the location of the boot camp and all the private addresses you need, ok." He winces at the pain.

I rip my hands off him and put my gun back in my coat. "Good. Send them to me. I drop my phone on the table.

He opens his phone and sends me the link to his text. I look over the information.

"Her office and room number at the camp are in there too. As well as a map of the area." Ian supplies.

I close my phone and put it in my coat. I head for the door.

Ian stops me. "Where you going?"

I shrug his hand off. "We're done here."

I walk outside and open the door to the car.

Ian stands on the steps. "I wouldn't leave. You still need us."

I look at me. "There is nothing on this planet that will ever make me need scum like you."

Ian puts his hands in his pockets. "Alexi, that hurt. Really. Cuts me deep. Right here." He places his hand on his chest.

I shake my head and get in. Spinning the car around, I get out of there. There's nothing I hate more than relying on gutter criminals. They have no honor. No conviction. They're just overall barbaric. But when you're desperate, you must sink into the pit to get what you want. And now I have it. The final piece of the plan.

Anna Rikers all known locations. Now, I must prepare myself.

As I watch the road, another flash. Soft lips, powerful grip. Strong arms wrapping around me. I shake my head again. I need to clear myself of this distraction. The Alpha is stuck in my head and I need him out now. I turn off a road onto another to go to the one place I know that will remove these images from my mind.

I need to see Nash.
