1. A bride who can satisfy his needs
Las Vegas,
At night,
Liam sat cozily in the chair in his study, in his penthouse, giving the view of blinking Vegas in the dark behind his back. His heart throbbed in his chest as he looked up at his friend Allister with a smirk.
"You're finally ready for a marriage?" Allister asked him with a raised eyebrow.
Liam took another sip of his whiskey as he nodded, deciding that it was time for him to come out of his solitude and allow another woman into his life. It was time for him to get married. At least someone who would look after his house and him.
Six years of loneliness was enough. Six bloody years of slipping into various women's beds, trying to find one who could feel like her. But now he knew he needed to settle down with someone better. Someone who would keep him occupied.
"What kind of woman?" Amanda, Allister's wife, budged in.
Liam had nobody in his life. Just Allister and Amanda, his friends from college, and even they were so busy with their own lives that they only came and visited him once in a while.
They were friends but Amanda still held a negative spot in his life. One can say Liam would only tolerate her for his friend. She was, otherwise, a fox he would so much as loved to bury alive.
Ignoring her annoying tone as he felt Allister's eyes fix on his face closely, he sighed. "She needs to be able to take care of me and my house," Liam told them. "I want a housewife... someone obedient. Someone who keeps me busy day and night."
When he wasn't working, Liam would spend his time reading... or he would chat online with sexy girls for fun. He loved sexting though it disappointed him at times. Gradually he got accustomed to it ever since she left him. Words like loyalty, promises and trust didn't exist in his life. Neither did peace.
"Hmm, okay then," Allister said with a smile, before he got up from the chair he was sitting on. "I'll see what I can find for you. I'll bring you pictures in a few days."
A hesitant Amanda stood up too. She was aware of Liam's thoughts towards her after what happened between them six years back. Still a part of her wanted to get on good terms with him like earlier. Like they were in college.
"Come on, Amy, let's get going." Her husband's arm wrapped around her shoulder.
They headed towards the door except she stopped much to her husband's amusement, and turned around, "Are you sure you don't want to try and speak to Arielle again?" Amanda asked Liam softly.
Liam's eyes turned dark as soon as she said that. He let out a noisy breath, knowing that she would talk about her.
"Don't talk about her, Amanda," he snarled. "You know I hate her."
"I was just asking..." She lowered her eyes feeling guilty. His face suddenly became pale.
"You know I hate you too. I'm just talking with you because you're my best friend's wife. Don't think we are friends." His dark eyes made her shiver. "Just do your job." He replied arrogantly.
He knew he was being harsh on her. Amanda truly cared about him, but he just didn't like it when people spoke about her. He couldn't help it when he saw her. Amanda Caxton, the wife of his best friend, was a fox.
A look of her face reminded him of hurtful memories of his past. Not to forget she was an active agent that caused the mess.
"Fine," Amanda sighed and grabbed Allister's arm. "Let's go."
Allister nodded and led her out of the door of the study room.
"Allister... wait," Liam called his friend.
He stopped with his wife in their tracks and turned around to face him.
"Yes Liam?"
"Make sure she's hot... she better be able to satisfy me in bed!" Liam demanded with a smirk, his tone cold.
Amanda gave him a disgusted look, but Liam didn't care. He was not willing to make compromises with this. He wanted someone who would be able to keep him satisfied, or nobody at all.
A few hours later, once they reached their house, Allister and Amanda picked up photos of possible suitors for Liam. Opening the envelope of photos at home that night, with Allister lying down beside her in bed, Amanda went through the pictures one by one, until her eyes lit up as she saw a particular photo.
"Allister," she said, excitedly.
"Hmmm?" Allister asked, his eyes closed.
"Look at this," Amanda urged.
"Go to sleep Amanda, we can do this tomorrow." he mumbled.
"No... Allister, it's Arielle!" She said quickly.
"Arielle?" His eyes opened immediately.
"Looks like Arielle is willing to move on too." She sounded excited but hurt at the same time. "And the astonishing part is that she submitted her photograph to the same matrimonial agency we approached for Liam."
He sat up on the bed and grabbed the picture from his wife. It was indeed Arielle Scott, their classmate from Elite Academy, looking more beautiful than ever. The girl who once meant everything to Liam D'zire.
"This can't be a coincidence Allister, we have to make this happen," Amanda gushed, sounding far too excited.
"No way Amanda, he'll never agree, and we don't know if she will either." he said.
"He doesn't need to know." she said mischievously.
"What are you up to Amanda? I don't want to see him hurt again." Allister warned, thinking about that unfortunate day when he saw his BF in tears for the first time. "Don't forget his glares and hatred towards you. He tolerates you because you're my wife." He added.
"I know everything. But this is going to make his life Allister, not break it. Trust me." she told him.
"You're being ridiculous! You know he will hate you more for this." Her husband's words tore her eyes.
Amanda bit her mouth miserably. She was still lingering around Liam because she knew her mistakes. She wanted to make up for him. This can't be just a coincidence.
With a small sigh she looked up, "Please help me rectify my mistakes. It was me who ruined their lives. Don't rob me from this opportunity, Allister. Please help me do it."
She pushed him down on the bed and leaned into him. Keeping her head on his chest, she sobbed lightly, "Fate wants to bring them together and we are mere pawns who must make it happen. Please,"
Allister laid quietly under her. He had to agree with her, this being a game of their fates. Last six years had been a torture for Liam. He had been living an empty life. Merely surviving. If Arielle came back in his life, he was certain she would make his best friend's life a brighter heaven once again.
"Okay, we will talk about it tomorrow." He said.
"Really?" Amanda grinned in shock.
"Yes, I mean it."
"Oh Aly, you are my prince charming. I love you so much."
"I love you too. Let's get back to sleeping. We have a busy day tomorrow." He whispered as his mind started to think of ideas to make this match happen.

2. The only thing you miss is— your ex-girlfriend! Next day, in a bright sunny morning, Liam was working in his office with dedication when his PA, Mr. Anlon D'mello, a 38 years old trusted man knocked at his door. He looked up from the files he was reviewing and smirked darkly, "Mr. D'mello, what part of 'Do not disturb me until lunch break' was not clear to you? Tell me so I make myself seriously clear to you next time and save myself from firing my best PA." He noticed the man in his late thirties scrunch his eyebrows nervously. He was not at fault most of the times when he interrupted his boss, given that, important messages and events arrived unexpectedly and because of that he had to come to irritate him. "Apologies, Mr. D'zire, but your friend, Mr. Caxton is here." His PA muttered softly. "I told him you are busy but he said that it is important. He wants to see you now." Liam set aside his files and straightened his back. "Hmm, let him in." He ordered and calmly reste
3. His exiled ex-girlfriend, Arielle Scott Amanda's heart was hammering. She stared at the tower Arielle resided in with wide eyes. Arielle has become a successful fashion photographer and earned handsome remuneration off of her passion. Otherwise they studied business management in college. Anyway, Amanda removed her phone and gazed at the address sent to her by the matrimonial agency. "I can't believe I am going to meet you after six years, Arielle." Amanda mumbled in anguish. She was afraid to see Arielle out of the blue but then she set her emotions aside and composed herself. Walking inside the tower, then into an elevator, she took a deep breath. She nervously stepped out of the elevator, looking around the fifth floor she was on, and gawked at the apartment number (206) with blinking eyes. "Okay, stay calm, Amanda. You're here with a good motive so don't be scared." She told herself and ultimately rang the doorbell of Arielle's apartment. She hadn't seen her former room
4. Even after 6 years of separation... She is still single! "Amanda?" Arielle's gorgeous face peeked outside the door, completely surprised. "Arielle!" Amanda, who had been hesitant, quickly grew happy on seeing her and threw her arms around her former classmate and roommate's shoulders. She hugged her happily and squeezed her. Arielle, on the contrary, stood there stunned. She had not expected anyone to come and see her. Not someone from her past life that she missed and craved for. "Hey!" She hesitantly hugged her back. When they parted away, "You have grown even more beautiful, El. Much more gorgeous and mature." A raw and primitive grief overwhelmed Arielle. She forced a smile and stepped aside, "Co-come inside." Amanda knew it would be awkward for her. What happened six years ago at the age of eighteen, left Arielle alone. Everyone left her and their mutual friends had split too, forcing her to isolate herself from the outer world. But now, all these years later som
5. She looks ready for the plan!? "Arielle," Amanda gulped the whole content in her glass in one go and smiled, "He's... He's been miserable. He's not doing good. I can say he is merely surviving because he cannot commit suicide like a coward. He misses you everyday." Amanda told her, knowing exactly who she was referring to. She watched Arielle's expression change into a pained one. Except she didn't let it stay obvious and quickly blinked her eyes to compose herself and coughed. "And... and everyone else?" Arielle looked away. 'You both are the same. You want each other but won't let it show on your face.' Amanda mused. "Allister's good... we're married now, and planning to expand our family." She put some strands of her loose hair behind her ear. "Congratulations!" Arielle exclaimed happily, "I'm so happy for you two." "Thanks," Amanda replied. "We got married a few months ago." "And others? Like... uh, you know." Arielle hesitated to complete her question. Taking her hand,
6. You want me to be his unfortunate bride? "You aren't happy that Liam is miserable?" Amanda's words made a chill run down her spine. Why that question all of a sudden? When did Liam become a part of this discussion? Arielle's expression once again changed into a pained one as soon as Amanda mentioned his name, but she shook her head. "Of course not, why would I ever want him to be unhappy?" She looked away. "Exactly... I know how to bring him out of his misery, and you're the only way this can happen." Amanda told her with a small smile. "What?" Her heart throbbed, still confused. Then Amanda searched through her side bag and presented a card of the agency Arielle had submitted her photograph to. Amanda also showed some pictures of her that the agency gave to her. "H-how did you get to know about this agency? A-and.. And..." She stuttered, her color draining out. "D-did you tell Liam about it?" Suddenly her face became pale as if she was scared of Liam knowing about he
7. I never dated another guy. I just love him. "I'm sorry.. I.. I thought it was time for you two to reunite. Maybe I was wrong." She gave Arielle a glass of water. "I am sorry... I am sorry to bother you. I should not have come here. Pretend that this meeting never happened." Mouth dropping in bewilderment and eyes oozing pain, Arielle lifted her stunned face. After bringing back old memories and the wishes of being together with Liam, she was asking her to forget him. "What? It's you who said Liam is not good for a husband." Amanda remarked, reading her eyes. "I.. I never said that." "That's what you mean, isn't it?" "You can't expect me to accept him as if nothing happened between us? I am angry, can't you see." Arielle wiped her face. She drank some water and closed her eyes. Hell yeah, she wanted to be with Liam. That's what she's been praying for ever since they seperated six years ago. She wanted his big arms to hold her, pamper her and kiss her worries away. She w
8. Back into his arms after running away for 6 years Arielle's POV I shot two bottles of wine later that evening below my throat. Because I was on cloud nine. Earlier I had a so-called reason to be happy but after Amanda visited me, I realized there could be no better reason for my happiness than getting to unite with Liam. I pulled out a black thick diary from under the mattress and opened it. There were all the necessary cut outs of rough pages of newspaper, glossy pages of magazines of Liam smiling at cameras. "I missed you so much, Liam. Can't believe we're going to unite again." Tears filled my eyes. I stared at his pictures in different shades in my diary and kissed them one by one. He does not know about me but since I separated and left my family six years ago, I could not stop from following up with him. The fact was that I truly depended on him as a lover. I've tried my best to forget and avoid him for five and half years, but just as I shifted back to Vegas, my
9. I hope he misses my body too Arielle's Pov Life has not been very good for me. Being abandoned six years ago due to a mistake I innocently committed for the wellbeing of others, it's taken every fragment in me to survive. Only I know how I managed to survive all these years. My parents and everyone else disowned me. I was living my life alone while pretending to be happy with everything. I celebrated, sometimes didn't, Christmas and thanksgiving alone. I went to see fireworks at night soone on new year's eve. I cut my own cakes on my birthdays— sometimes spent them crying in bed for the whole day after locking myself in my room. Many— I mean men mostly, tried to be a part of my life but I can't let them in. It's not that I didn't try. I did a lot. It's just that my past haunts me a lot. Everytime I went to a date, I knew it wasn't supposed to be. I compared those guys with Liam and offended not them by turning them down but myself too. That's the reason why I was sipping my
