Forty Two

"Welcome home honey". Arisa said cheerfully once Matt entered the living room looking exhausted.

He barely spared her a glance as he loosened his tie.

"I made you lunch". She continued to say while coming close to him.

"I'm not hungry Arisa". He said tiredly.

"Well I went shopping today and really put in so much work in the kitchen. I know you're hungry but you don't just want to eat anything I make". She pursed her lips in contempt and annoyance.

"Arisa I really don't want to start this again... I'm worn out for God's sake".

She watched, hands fisted at her sides as he walked upstairs.

Furiously, she grabs a vase by the chair and threw it at the wall just as two people walked in.
