My heart dropped when I saw Lucille inside the filled bathtub, lying lifeless.

"Lucille!" I yelled, rushing to her side, without noticing the slippery floor.

As I was about to get to her, I slipped and hit my buttock on the floor.

Without wasting a lot of time groaning, I sprang up and dashed to her.

"Lucille!! Lucille!!!" I called, hitting her cheeks continually to revive her.

I touched her pulse. It was still active. That made me a bit relaxed.

I carried her out of the bathtub into the bedroom, wore her a dress, and hurriedly took her to the hospital.

I was certain the doctors must be tired of seeing us regularly at the hospital.

I wouldn't lie. Ever since we got married, I had caused Lucille nothing but pain and discomfort. I had a lot of trouble lurking around and she was the one who always ended up in it.

Getting to the hospital took all the night before her condition became stable.
