Chapter Twenty (Trouble in Paradise)

Arric was in the middle of a heated conversation with Eirika when Bishop burst into the room, his eyes wide with panic.

"Alpha, there's been a security breach on the border. Rogue werewolves attacked our guards and killed two of them. We need to move quickly."

Arric's face hardened with anger as he stood up and quickly got dressed. "Get the team ready."

He turned to Eirika, "I'm sorry, love, I have to go. I'll be back soon."

Eirika watched him leave, her heart racing with worry. She knew the danger of rogue werewolves and what they were capable of. She decided to follow him but made sure to keep a safe distance so as not to be detected.
