Missing souls

Lucian was reading a file when he heard the clanking sound of door. “Don’t even try to step in if you don’t want to get hurt,” Lucian said loudly when Mark broke the door and it fell on the floor. “Oops, sorry. I did not mean to use more force,” Mark said as he stepped in.

Lucian rubbed his forehead and then glared at Mark. “Stop breaking the things in my house. It won’t do anything good,” Lucian stated with a slight anger in his tone.

“You did the same thing with me when I was in the Netherlands. Forgot? Those 4 years were so tough for me because of you,” Mark muttered and sat on the edge of the bed.

Lucian touched the roof of his mouth using his tongue and then gave a chuckle. “So, you are here to trouble me or you are here to look after that human?” Lucian asked.

“Both. I have to be around her as she can she us and even ghosts,” Mark replied.

“You mean in our devil form?” Lucian queried.

“Yes.”

“So, you are protecting her?” Lucian asked.<
