Standing in front of the door of his office, Sienna took a moment to compose herself. 'In the past, I could walk inside without any hesitation, why can't I do that today? Lovell, nothing has changed between us. Right?'

"Lo-vell..." Opening the door as soon as she walked inside, her facial expression changed to a shocked one. Like a statue, she looked at Lovell who was seated on the chair with a woman on his lap and on top of it, he looked so much in love with her and so unbothered by his wife's presence. 

"I told them to not disturb me. Why are you here?" His sharp tone of voice came through, his face showing no remorse or whatsoever. 

'Didn't you expect to see me?'

"Lovell, w... when did you come back from your business trip? It's been so many days since we last saw each other, I really missed you."

To her questions, he remained silent. The woman who was sitting on his lap tried getting up from his lap, her face showing a childlike purity, "Lee, maybe I should..."

'He never let me call him Lee, he said that the name irritated him and he hated it.'

Lovell pulled the woman close by her waist, forcing her to sit back. "No need to feel uncomfortable because of anyone." 

With wide open eyes, Sienna watched him caressing the woman's face while giving her no eye. 

"Let go, I'm cooking."

"Hmm, who said that a husband can't kiss his wife while she is cooking?"

"The dish might get burned."

"Let it be. My wifey, this husband needs you to give him time, please. Give him some time."

"Lovell, please. It tickles. Wait, haha. Hahaha... Lovell..."

The times they spent together reflected before her eyes and a drop of tears escaped the corner of her eyes. This version of him left her speechless, making her throat become dry.

"But she is your wife. I should not..." 

"You are my fiancee now, you are not inferior to anyone." Lovell shot, wrapping his arms around the woman's waist roughly.

'Since when did I become just 'anyone' for you? When did things change so much between us?'

"If you have nothing to say then you can leave." Lovell commanded in a serious tone of voice.

Sienna pulled herself together, she forced herself to look at him though her heart was aching bad, "Why are you doing this?"

"What?"

"We are husband and wife, we love each other. No matter what, we c..."

"Did I ever tell you that I love you?"

"What are you..." Reality hit her harder than ever, those moments when only she expressed her love in words replayed before her eyes. "Right, you never told me those words but... But I know you love me. Lovell, is it because of the news that you are acting like this? You don't hate me, I know."

His lips curled into a scornful smile as he heard her, "I guess you are thinking of yourself as someone precious to me."

His laughter was like a dagger to her heart, Sienna kept looking at him with watery eyes. The sudden change of his behaviour towards her felt like a dream that she wanted to wake up from it as soon as possible.

"I know, I saw the news. But I trust you. Lovell, I know you were not involved in any of this. You..."

"You are wrong."

"What..."

"It was me who sent your dad to jail and I will not stop until I see him rotting in prison. I did everything in my right mind, let me tell you and till I see him suffer badly... I can't take a breath of peace."

"Lovell, he is our dad. You know him, he can never hurt anyone. How can he do something like this? There must be someone who did it to fra..."

Cutting her off, Lovell inquired coldly, "Did you come to say this nonsense?"

"What?"

With the mouth he used to tell her sweet words before, he was now hurting her with the same mouth. Forget about love, there was not even an ounce of pity in his eyes. 

"I told you that I called the police on your dear father, what are you planning to do? You have only a father who is now rotting in the ICU and soon he will be in the jail. With you being alone, you can't even do anything. You shouldn't actually have come here, in case I do the same with you."

All the questions in her head got their answer, in a split second his ruthless demeanor became clearly visible to her like the crystal. 

Sienna stood there like a statue, looking at his face blankly. "Lovell, do you hate me that much? You don't, please tell me that you are just acting. That you are mad at me because..."

"... Hate? You are not even that important that I can hate you. You are too insignificant for that." He blurted out, planting a kiss on the woman's lips.

Sienna closed her eyes and let the tears run down her cheeks. Until now, she tried to disbelieve everything but she could no longer do that.

"I won't take much of your time, let me ask you this. What should be done so that you will let him go?"

"Sorry?"

"My dad... I am sure you know somewhere in your heart that he didn't do it so I'm saying..."

"Alright, Sienna Waters. You are just showing your true color, you came all the way just to get your scoundrel father bailed? Dream on, I will never let him go... Not until I see him dead."

Taking a deep breath, Sienna knelt down on the ground all of a sudden. Her head bowed and her self-esteem was crushed upon by him.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"I can kneel and say sorry for as long as you want me to or I can do anything you want me to, please... Let my father go."

Upon hearing her, he clenched his fists. "You can do anything?"

"Yes."

"Fine." Lovell took something out of the drawer and tossed it towards her, "I will let that scammer go if you sign it."

A wide smile spread across her lips as she looked at the paper but the next minute, her smile faded, "Thank... Divorce papers?"

"Sign it if you want him to be free."

With clenched fists, she looked at his face, no... Unlike what she expected he didn't show any emotions let alone be sad or regretted.

"Will you really be happy if I sign this paper?"

"Yes, I will. I will be so d*mn happy."

Her sorrowful gaze shifted to her belly as she touched it, "What... What if... I was pregnant? Would you... Would you also..."

"Your father must have taught you the way to trick a man, that's the cheapest yet shortest way you can trap someone in your net. What? You wanted to tie me up that way as well?" He looked at her arrogantly and scoffed.

"Pen... please." The cold tone of her somewhat surprised him but he remained calm as he threw a pen at her.

"Exactly two years ago, I dreamt of having a happy family with you. I have always loved you and cared for you, I never tried seeing what an inhuman being you were. Lovell Bronze, if only I could know... What kind of ending we were gonna have..." Her eyes overflowed, releasing a single tear as she held the pen with her trembling hand.

"How shameless of a woman you are to lie on my face! Well, what can I expect from a cheater's daughter?" His tone was as cold as steel, dripped with sheer disdain. 

Closing her eyes, Sienna signed the divorce paper. Putting down the pen on the table she let out in a soulless tone of voice, "Thank you, Mr. Bronze."

Without bothering to take a look at his face, as she turned to leave he tossed a card on her way, "Take it, just think of it as a gift for the separation."

'I wanted to get adorned in your love and warmth, guess I asked for too much.'

Keeping her head down, she looked at the card on the floor. Her hands trembled and her legs weakened as she picked it up. 

"Actually... You didn't really have to go through so much just to get divorce from me, if only you could tell me beforehand that you hated me then I would have signed the papers without any complaint. You didn't have to frame my dad." Saying so, she rushed out of his office, feeling suffocated in his presence.

'Lovell Bronze, in this lifetime I only loved you yet all you gave me is heartbreaks and betrayal. I hope that one day, you know what you did wrong. May you regret and suffer for everything... At that time, no one should stay by your side and you should be lonely...'

Beep!

Suddenly as her phone got a notification, she read it casually. "Leave the building as soon as possible, someone wants to kill you and your unborn child." 

Her gaze scanned the surroundings quickly and her feet paused on the spot. Fear encircled her heart, touching her belly she looked at her phone screen again. 

'Except for me, the doctor and Ollie... nobody should know about my pregnancy. If it was the two then they would have revealed their name... Is someone playing a trick... ' 

Beep!

"I am sorry that I can't reveal my name but please trust me and leave the building as soon as you can." Another message showed up on her phone screen.

Taking a look at her right and left as she didn't see anyone, Sienna hurried towards the elevator. 'I can't think of anyone who can it be but if it's true then I should leave here as fast as...'

"Excuse me." Unexpectedly, Someone collided with her and the card dropped somewhere on the ground. 

"It's ok." Sienna groped around on the ground, looking for the card. Picking it up as she let out a sigh, someone hugged her from the front. 

Her eyes widened and filled with tears while her mouth was covered by a man. Her silent scream didn't reach anyone's ears, Sienna wrestled against the well-built man in vain. 

"Mr. Bronze wanted you to never come here because he was giving you a chance but you chose death instead. What a stupid woman you are!"

With all her strength, she tried removing the mask from the man's face but she failed to. Soon, her body fell on the ground. 

Laying on the pool of blood, Sienna touched her belly with her shaky fingers before falling into the pit of darkness. "My... My child..."
