BLAIR’S POV

I exhaled sharply, picking up the paper to stare at it. “Will?” I asked flatly.

“Yes. He’s an excellent student, one of the best in your year. He’ll help you catch up quickly.”

I glanced at the paper once more, forcing myself to accept this reality. It was clear there was no way out of this, and honestly, I didn’t have the energy to argue anymore. Instead, I picked up my bag, ready to get out.

“Can I go now?” I asked him.

“Of course.” He replied.

I got up from my seat and was already heading for the door when he called out to me again.

“Blair,” he said and I turned, barely masking my irritation. “You know this is for your own good, right?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.

I swallowed the sharp response sitting on my tongue and gave him a small nod.

“Yes, Sir.” I said.

“You may go.” He responded and I immediately left his office.

The second the door closed behind me, I let out a heavy breath, raising the paper I’d been handed to take a better look at it.

KADE’S POVI cut the engine of my car and stepped out. I looked around to make sure no one was watching and then I opened the door to the back seat. I grabbed the bag from the passenger seat and shut the door behind me, looking around once more. If Blair had nosy neighbors, they’ll probably wonder why I’ve been coming around often. I let myself in, locked the door behind me, and headed straight for the kitchen. Dropping the bag on the counter, I pulled out a loaf of bread, a jar of peanut butter, and a butter knife. That was all they were getting. If they were lucky. Honestly, I’d rather have Drew and his friend starve but then I didn’t want them to die yet. So this was just for sustenance. I took my time and made two sandwiches. They were half-assed but edible. I tossed them into the same bag and made my way to the basement door. The wooden stairs creaked under my boots as I went down, the air turning damp and sour with every step. The smell hit first and it was a mix of sweat, b

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed   Chapter 129: Fresh Laughter

BLAIR’S POV“Here, stay still,” I said, trying to focus on cleaning the gash across Kade’s back.He groaned low, his fingers gripping the hem of my dress like he was bracing for war or something. I bit my bottom lip, wincing at how raw the wound looked. How had he even managed to sleep with something like this?“You really should’ve let me do this last night,” I murmured, dabbing the disinfectant gently across the red slash. “If I had known you got this injured, I would have taken care of it sooner.”“I didn’t want to ruin breakfast plans,” he muttered in a strained voice. “You must feel like throwing up right now.” “Anytime’s okay,” I said, trying to keep my hand steady. “But seriously, Kade… this needs stitches.”He didn’t reply. His muscles tensed under my touch and he jerked everytime my hand touched his. I reached into the first aid box beside me and pulled out a small syringe. The second he caught sight of the needle, he jerked upright like I’d pointed a knife at him. “I’m fine

BLAIR’S POVDrew’s grip was tight around my wrist and his face twisted in rage as he shouted, “I said you’re coming with me!” I fought against him, punching his arm. Every muscle in my body was screaming to break free, but he was too strong.“Let me go!” I cried in desperation, but he only pulled me closer, his grip hurting me. I opened my mouth to scream and call Kade’s name, but I couldn’t talk again. It was like something inside me had shut down, suffocating every word before it could come out.Panic rushed through me as I clawed at him, scratching and digging my nails into his arm, anything to make him loosen his hold. He started dragging me across the room, pulling with a strength I couldn’t match. I barely managed a scream before I jolted awake. My heart was pounding like a drum in my chest and I was trying hard to catch my breath. The room was dark and silent except for the rapid beat of my own breathing. Slowly, I held my wrist, remembering how Drew was pulling me in my dr

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed   Chapter 127: Moving On

BLAIR’S POVI stood under the scalding water, letting it burn into my skin. I didn’t care. I wanted it to hurt. Maybe if it burned deep enough, it would erase everything—Drew’s scent, his touch, what he did.My hands scrubbed furiously at my arms, my chest, as if I could scrape him off me. As if I could wash away the memory. But it wasn’t that simple.I still felt him. I remembered every blow, every filthy word, the way he yanked down my pants. The look in his eyes when he pinned me, ready to force himself on me.My breath hitched. My knees gave out, and I collapsed to the floor of the shower. I wrapped my arms around myself, leaning into the cold tile, shaking.Tears blurred with the water pouring down my face. I didn’t try to stop them. My chest clenched tight, and it hurt to breathe.Every part of me ached—my body, my heart, my mind. Why did this have to happen to me? Why did I have to go through something so horrific? What did I ever do to deserve this kind of pain?I dug my nails

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed   Chapter 126: Kade’s Turn

KADE’S POVI pulled back slightly, just enough to see her face. “Are you hurt anywhere?” I asked Blair in a low voice. My heart was still racing, but my hands stayed on her arms, holding her tight. She shook her head, tears still sliding down her cheeks. Her lips trembled, but she didn’t speak. And I didn’t push. I just nodded and turned to Will. “Go to the car. There’s a spare jacket and shorts in the backseat. Grab them.”Will nodded immediately and ran off.I looked back at Blair, scanning her quickly. My hands moved with care, checking her over. I needed to be sure she was alright. Her skin was marked with bruises, rope burns around her wrists, and her knees were scraped from the way she must have fought. But there was no blood or any visible signs that she had broken a bone. Looking into her eyes, they told me everything I needed to know. She’d been through hell. Will returned fast and he was panting when he handed me the jacket and shorts. I helped Blair slip into the jacket.

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed   Chapter 125: Just In Time

KADE’S POVI killed the engine and let the silence settle. The building in front of us was a mansion, or at least used to be. Now it looked like something time forgot. It had cracked windows, overgrown grass and the paint on the walls were chipped. I wasn’t here to admire the state of the place. I scanned the deserted area and then checked my phone again. The blinking dot on the screen hadn’t moved. It was a tracker and it had led us right here. “We’re here," I said without looking at Will.He didn’t respond, just followed my lead as I stepped out of the car. We moved quietly across the gravel, making sure not to make a sound. A few feet in, I spotted Drew’s car parked off to the side, half-covered by shadows, but I’d recognize that Dodge Challenger anywhere.“They’re definitely here,” I muttered, keeping my voice low. Will let out a shaky breath behind me, but I didn’t stop walking. I didn’t have the time or patience for hesitation. If Blair was in there, we were getting her out.
