I’m awakened by a rather calm Amory walking into the room I’m asleep in, “mi Amor” (my love)? She walks all the way to the bed with Stephany in her hands as I sit up. “YaYa, my iPad is missing”, Stephany whines. I’m surprised that Spencer and Amory are already up as I make my way to the kitchen in time to hear him ask her, “why do you eat that every day”? From the doorway, I see Amory is sitting on the island countertop with Spencer in front of her. He has his arms resting on her thighs and his hands clasped together behind her back. She shrugs before saying, “tastes good. I haven’t been able to stomach guacamole since I was pregnant, but this still tastes good”! “Why, since you were pregnant?”, he asks. “Because she ate it by the bowlful. She ate so much of it, she started to smell like cilantro and lime juice”, I state. I wake up exhausted as I get dressed and head for the coffee pot. Spencer lazily stumbles out into the kitchen, pours coffee into a mug, and drinks it just like that. Blah, grossed out just watching! Watermelon… Cucumber… Cantelope… Wet pennies… No, that’s blood! Amory rubs her face into my chest as she lays asleep in my arms, but she’s already begun to bleed. I wake up with Amory’s dress wrapped around my face, saturated in her melon scent. I miss her being in my arms. After everything lately, it just doesn’t feel right to not have her there. I dress and head to the kitchen for my daily caffeine fix, and pass Spencer and Meme, who are having a quiet conversation about his date plans tonight with Amory.“YaYa”, Stephany squeals as soon as she spots me. I’m again awoken by Amory as she climbs into the bed with me breathing erratically. “Mi Amor”, (my love) I tell her as I pull her hands from her face. She’s in full-on panic attack mode and clearly struggling to breathe. I climbed out of the bed and threw my clothes on, before leading her back to her room to dress her. Amory has tears streaming down her face as she pulls at her own hair. I find myself literally dressing her a piece of clothing at a time, as she even struggles to wiggle into her panties, I’m pulling up her legs. Once she’s dressed, I take her down to the kitchen and sit her on the table with her feet on the chair so she can rest her elbows on her knees and hold her head up. I then search through the cabinets to find something more denser than her usual breakfast and thankfully find plain oatmeal. I heat up the hot water and soak the oats while I cut up two peaches.
