Chapter 2

Anita finished eating and she paid the food seller, she walks out of the mama put and she looks around but don't know where to go, she did not even know where she is and she asked a woman who wanted to enter a bus.

“ Good evening ma!” Anita says and the looks at her.

“ Good evening!” the woman respond to her greetings.

“ Sorry ma, I wanted asked which area is this, I am just coming from Enugu but I do not this area” Anita ask.

“ This area is called iyana paja” the woman says and the name of the area sound strange in her ears.

“ Sorry ma, Iyana..... What” Anita ask tg woman again because she could not prounouce the name well.

“ It's called Iyana paja” the woman says again.

“ Thank you ma'am but where is the bus going this evening “ Anita ask.

“ The bus is going to island lekki” the woman says and Anita think of entering the bus she thinks in her mind that she still have five thousand five naira with her and she entered the bus and take a sit.

Back in the village her aunty still waiting for, her aunty check the time and it's 9 p.m. In the night, she heard a sound and she rushes to the doorstep an me checked but could not find anyone, she gets worried and think.

“ I hope it's not what I am thinking, why is Anita not yet back home this 9 p.m. And she is not yet here and she di not have phone, I hope she has not elope or as she? No I do not think so, she can't elope because she has no where to go I know she will come back to this house “ her auosays speaking to herself.

It's already 9 p.m. And the bus from Iyana paja to lekki reaches the las bus stop and Anita was sleeping in the bus, all the passengers went down from the bus remaining Anita, the conductor of the bus noticed and he wike her up she open her eyes and she could not find anyone in the bus.

“ This the last bus stop, you should get down from the bus “ the conductir says and Anita stood up and she come down from the bus, everywhere us dark, she doesn't know where to go to and she walks along the street looking scared, she walks to a place and she sat down as she is tired, she check the remaining on her and it's five thousand naira.

“ Where will I go to now, I do know anyone here, I can't continue walking on the street, I do not think running away from my aunt place was the best option “ Anita says to herself and she saw a tricycle pack beside a house and she look around and she sees no one is looking at her and she entered the tricycle and sit, she keep the money in her have inside the outdated gown she is wearing and she left off.

Its the next morning and Anita’s aunt woke up and she yawn and stretch her hand in the living room where she slept and stood up and was about to Anita’s name and she remembered that Anita, did not come home last night, she rushes to her room and she can't still find her in the room.

“ Where could this girl went to?, I have search everywhere in the house but still can't find her” her aunt says.

Back in Lagos the owner of the tricycle walk out of his house and he walks to his tricycle and smge saw Anita in his tricycle sleeping and he tap her and Anita gets scared and she open her eyes.

“ Go...od morning sir!” Anita says.

“ Good morning! What are you doing in my trycicke don't tell me you slept here throughout the night” the ownwr of tricycle says and Anita rush and get down of the tricycle.

“ I..i...i am sorry sir, I slept off “ Anita says and the owner of the tricycle get shocked.

“ Yoi slept here for the whole night, don't you know Lagos is dangerous and it's not good to sleep in the streets especially for a girl, are you not scared” the owner of the tricycle says.

“ I am sorry sir but I do not know this my first time in Lagos, I am new here and I do not know anyone here in Lagos “ Anita says.

“ Where are you from ?” the owner of the tricycle ask.

“ I am from Enugu sir “ Anita says and a car pass drove and splash the dirty on her and Anita gets angry and the car stop at the front.

“ What?!! The clothes I am still managing, I do not even have another cloth and he splash a dirty water on me, I will go and meet him” Anita says and the man stop her.

“ The owner of that car is the very power person so I will advise you let go remember you said you do not have anyone in Lagos and I am thinking on how to help you “ the man says.

“ I appreciate that you want to help me sir but still I need to go and speak some senses in his head being a power person does not mean, I need to tell him to what he did” Anita says and the ma tries to stop but she prove stubborn and went..

“ I will let her go since she is proving stubborn” the man says and The man entered his tricycle and ride.

Anita got the car and the owner of the car goes down of the car and Anita saw him and she step back and started at him.

“ Oh my goodness this guy is so handsome I was about to go speak some senses to his brain but I can't now because how handsome he is” Anita says admiring the guy in suite, he entered a supermarket to shop.

Anita looks at her dress and it's already ruined “ I can't go around with tho dirty dress, what will I do?” Anita says and she look back and could not find the owner of the tricycle and the tricycle itself.

“ Oh Jess, see what my stubborness as lead me to again, I should have listened to him and not come to this Mr handsome now will I see the person that will help me “ Anita says and she sit somewhere near to the supermarket and she saw the guy come out of the supermarket receiving a call on phone and she quickly wanted to rushed to him and she mistakenly stain his suite with her stain dress and the guy git angry, Anita open her mouth and her eyes wild and could not speak.

“ Are you blind? Can't you see? See how you stain wear “ the guy says in anger yelling.

“ Calm down sir, I will help you clean the stain it was just a mistake and you are yelling” Anita says and she want to try to clean for him and he stop her.

“ Do you call what you did just a mistake and your even said I am yelling you are so rude” he says.

“ Yes, you are yelling. Do you know I can as well yelled at you because you were the one who ruined my dress with your car when you passed by” Anita says.

“ I did not know. Guess that was just a mistake” he says.

“ Really! Alright then guess too mine also was just a mistake” Anita says and he gets more angry.
