Chapter 4

- Flexibility, Kaya... Flexibility. This is not the war you are declaring on the cup!

- I don't understand how you can be more flexible than that... Kaya grumbled.

- A princess must be gifted with flexibility and infinite softness...

Kaya put the cup on the saucer and opened her mouth to speak:

- No no no... The saucer and the glass must not make any noise... No tinkling, Kaya... Mirabelle cut her off.

- You know what? I need a break... Kaya said, already turning her back.

- But...you just took one not an hour ago... She answered desperately.

- I know... But it's not my fault you're so tired... !

Mirabelle raised her eyes to the sky and continued:

- At this rate, I'm afraid you won't be ready in time...

- I could always go without coffee for the next 3 months... Caffeine is bad for you, you know...

Mirabelle arched an eyebrow and gave her a hard but desperate look... Kaya was exaggerating, she admitted... She wasn't making any effort either, she admitted that too... But... She had a good reason. She didn't know that drinking coffee would require all this... She drank a cup or two every morning and she thought she had enough flexibility! Okay, she admitted that the sound she made with her lips as if she was sipping coffee might not please someone with refined manners but that's no reason to treat her like that!

Kaya picked up her phone and pretended to ignore Mirabelle. She was still offended because she had told her that she had horrible, commoner manners! She had said it with disdain too! It was not nothing...

- You've been giving me a hard time since I got here... Have pity on me...! She ends up saying.

- You are exaggerating Kaya! I'm just trying to make you perfect.

- By torturing me? You called me a commoner!

- You are a commoner!

- I know... I am not of royal blood but you said it with disdain!

- Lord, Oh! You are against me because I said it with disdain...

- That's a bit like it...

Mirabelle looked at her with wide eyes and Kaya pretended not to notice her... She was going to make an effort but then... She was exhausted for now...

- Majesty, I need your signature. And your parents are trying to reach you...

It was Lucia, Mirabelle's assistant. She was a redhead with brown eyes. She had freckles... She was beautiful but she was too nice... Mirabelle seemed to enjoy her kindness too... She had two crises today for almost nothing. Lucia had nothing to do with the second one and Mirabelle didn't even apologize. Kaya felt sorry for her...

- I talk to my parents and then we start again...

Mirabelle said this while already turning on her heels without waiting for the young woman's response... She wondered at what time she was going to let her go home...

***

- I am fed up... I am exhausted! Complained the young woman while letting herself go on the big sofa!

- Well... Time to go home then...

It was the first time she found it admirable... She got up from the sofa and took her things. She was taken home by the driver... She was so tired that she let herself go on her bed directly... She needed a shower, but she felt too comfortable between her sheets to think about bathing...

She ended up falling asleep like this... The next day, she got up very early and prepared a cup of coffee. As she had resigned from her job at the restaurant, she was free today... At least, that's what he thought because less than half an hour later, she received a clear message that Mirabelle had been waiting for her for an hour...

And she who thought she had a free day...

She had decided to ignore the message, but she remembered the delicious and extremely expensive meals she was entitled to without spending anything and finally left her apartment.

It was a five star hotel... A splendid hotel. The decoration was magnificent and the staff was top notch. She went to the reception and adjusted her scarf and her glasses before giving the name of the princess to announce her arrival... Then, when she had the authorization to go up, she entered the elevator and waited patiently until she arrived at the floor of the suite of Mirabelle... A beautiful suite with a splendid view. Speaking of Mirabelle, Kaya was sure she was going to make a scene...

***

- Miss, finally dare to show herself! Mirabelle greeted her coldly...

- Good morning to you too...

It seems that today she had much more manners than Mirabelle...

- Don't ever do that to me again!

- You didn't tell me you were waiting for me. It's not my fault... She said innocently.

- I'm not in the mood to argue with you... Today we're going to continue working on your table manners and show you everything that has to do with washing up... Let's get started...

Mirabelle looked her up and down before turning back to Lucy...

- You can set the table... Go ! Go !

***

- My daughter is not like me, you old snob. Don't look at her like that!

- It's all right, old fart! I didn't borrow your eyes!

- Fine, Old Bastard! We'll see who sucks your cock!

Kaya looked back at her mother, shocked. She had been right to leave this town... Mirabelle had given her permission and she had come for her father's funeral. She remembered looking at him in the coffin and once again, she saw him as a stranger. Everything seemed unfamiliar to her... She never understood why she was so different from her parents in both behavior and appearance. Her parents had copper skin and curly hair. That's why her fear often said that Kaya was not her daughter...

- Mom, I thought you didn't do this kind of thing anymore!

- I don't but... I can't say no to money...

- Mom!

- I need money to live! You don't send me anything when you're so rich...

- What?

- Your princess ways, An iPhone and a Rolex! And 30,000 in cash!

- You searched my bag!

- When are you leaving?

- Now, Mom! I'm going back to Los Angeles

Her mother begged her to stay, but she would be in Mirabelle's suite first thing in the morning. She left her mother some money and ended up jumping on the first flight before nightfall...

***

- How was the vacation?

- Well...

- Great. Today you will learn waltz and other useful dances.

Here we go again...

And this is how the daily life of the young woman unfolded from then on... She spent hours and hours receiving orders and prohibitions...

"Don't look at the content of the glass" "smile, Kaya... " "Stand up straight" "Do not put your elbow on the table".

It was annoying for Kaya but every time, Mirabelle reminded her of the 3 million dollars and she ended up obeying all her orders...

3 weeks had passed and she had done a lot of effort. She was doing so much that it was becoming impossible for her to eat a burger without wearing a towel around her neck...

- It's perfect, Kaya. It's perfect.

- I'm sorry... What did you just say?
