Chapter twenty four.

I keep walking without looking back, until he unfortunately catches up with me.

"Little kid. Hey little kid."

Little kid? I blink in disbelief. Is he referring to me?

"Hey kid. Are you lost?"

In the moment of shock, and disbelief, he is already standing in front of me.

The man was wearing a handless t-shirt, despite the cold, and a blue jeans trouser. His dark black hair are tossed around wildly, and his sharp chin as small, bits of stubble on them.

Why, why would he think I am a kid?

"Do you need any help in finding your parents, I can take you—"

"I am not lost. And I am not a kid!!" I breath out in annoyance.

"You are—"

"I am going nineteen." I huff.

"Hah—" it is now his turn to wallow in disbelief. "You really are nineteen? You are so short, aren't you fifteen or something?"

Fifteen. Fifteen? The audacity?

"I am nineteen, and an adult." I try to explain.

"Okay. I am sorry ma'am. I apologize ma'am." He says sincerely managing to pacify half of my annoyance.
