Chapter 2

Author: Simu
Customer Service: [Guaranteed authentic—no color discrepancies at all. The incubus in the video is the actual one. Every incubus in our shop has a unique size, personality, and build. Take him out, and you're guaranteed not to run into the same model!]

That was reassuring.

Me: [Does he need to be taken out… for walks?]

Customer Service: [No. But of course, if you do have that need, we can include a leash and collar as a free gift.]

Me: [Okay.]

Just in case he really did have too much energy and needed walking, a leash would be good to have on hand.

With no further questions, I paid and placed the order for the gentle, well-behaved incubus.

Right after checkout, a notice popped up: [Shop Owner's Note: Discounted items are non-refundable once signed for.]

That didn't bother me. The discount was already massive—no returns was understandable. Besides, I'd seen the exact incubus in the video.

Two days later, on the weekend, while I was sleeping in at home, the delivery notification finally came through.

I opened the door with excitement.

Standing outside was the very same incubus from the video. He had white, pointed ears and a long, slender tail tipped with a small heart.

His tea-colored eyes were clear and bright, his smile as gentle as a spring breeze. His features were delicate, his skin fair, and his entire presence radiated a warm, refined elegance.

"Master," he said softly, dipping his head. His heart-tipped tail pressed into my hand in a gesture of submission.

That was when I noticed another incubus standing behind him, wearing a sour expression.

Huh? Why was there another one?

I thought someone else's package had been delivered by mistake. But then the dark-skinned incubus looked at me and called out as well, "Master."

I was too shocked to speak.

I received two incubi? Were they both mine?

Before I knew it, I was holding a heart-tipped tail in each hand.

The white-eared incubus spoke gently, "If Master has no objections, we'll be forming the contract now."

Wait—hold on—

A soft white glow bloomed at the tips of their tails and settled into my palms, warm to the touch. In the blink of an eye, the contract was complete.

Before I could even process what had happened, they were already following me into the apartment.

The white-eared incubus sat obediently on the couch, gazing at me with gentle brows and eyes full of quiet warmth. His expressive eyes always seemed to carry tiny points of starlight and laughter.

As for the other one…

He was a black-eared incubus with wheat-colored skin and a head of wild, unruly curls. His features were sharp and well-defined, thick brows framing large eyes as dark as night. His gaze was keen and piercing, like a hawk's—faintly wild and difficult to tame.

From the moment he entered, the dark-skinned incubus hadn't stopped moving. He prowled through the apartment, scanning everything like he was inspecting his territory.

Only then did it dawn on me to contact the shop online.

Me: [Are you there?]

Customer Service: [Our system shows the item has been signed for. Is there a problem?]

I explained that two incubi had been delivered.

Customer Service: [Congratulations! You've unlocked the hidden variant.]

I was speechless.

Customer Service: [This model is a bit special. Buy one, get one free!]

There was really such a good deal?

Paying for one and getting two? And at such a steep discount?

I pressed my lips together and glanced at the white-eared incubus, who was quietly playing on his phone, then at the dark-skinned incubus, who was still sniffing around my apartment.

Me: [Can I return one of them?]

I had a feeling I couldn't handle the dark-skinned one.

Me: [I can't afford to raise two.]

Customer Service: [Incubi don't require feeding like dogs. All of our incubi are specially trained and fully capable of living independently. As long as they're fed properly, they'll help ease your worries and share your burdens in daily life.]

Customer Service: [Our system shows that two incubi have already been signed for, and the complimentary items have been delivered. We do not support returns.]

No matter what I said, the shop refused to take one back. I gave up.

Besides, I'd paid the price of one and gotten two. No matter how I looked at it, I wasn't losing out.

I kept telling myself I'd scored a bargain—over and over—until I adjusted my mindset. Then I looked back at them again.

The Administration's representative said, "Our monitoring shows that when you purchased the incubi online, they exploited a loophole. You were unaware that you had bought a demon. Under these circumstances, we can make the decision on your behalf and destroy this ill‑intentioned demon."Seeing Morgan barely clinging to life, my temper flared. "Ill‑intentioned? So acting bravely to save someone is considered ill‑intentioned now? And since you already identified me as his owner, why didn't you call to inform me?"If I hadn't arrived in time, they would've gone ahead and destroyed Morgan first and dealt with explanations later. The Administration's representative hadn't expected me to push back and argued, "Ma'am, you only completed the contract. You haven't registered yet—"I shot back, "And where in your regulations does it say the contract and registration must be completed within a specific timeframe? What's wrong with me taking some time to observe? My observation period is over.

I stared at him in shock. "So that shady seller was you? And online shopping is one way you form contracts with humans?"Figures. When something falls out of the sky, it's either bait or a trap. How absurd.Eli nodded. "I'm an incubus. I need to feed, so I have to form a contract with a human. Morgan is a demon—once he reached adulthood, he needed a human contract to restrain him. That's why I claimed it was a buy‑one‑get‑one deal. I'm sorry, Master. We deceived you."His voice was humble, earnest. "I've been teaching Morgan properly. His temper is bad. At first, he wanted to force himself on you and feed against your will, but I stopped him."I warn him constantly not to act recklessly, not to hurt you."Master, please believe me. I can control Morgan. He's already changing for the better."Originally, I planned to wait until his temperament improved before telling you the truth. That way, it would've been easier for you to accept."Because I knew that even if returns weren't

Hearing this, Eli and Morgan exchanged a tacit glance. Different degrees of guilt flickered in their eyes, but I was lying facedown on the couch and didn't see it.Feeling guilty, Morgan rubbed his nose. He sent Eli away and took over the massage himself, casually steering the conversation elsewhere."As long as Master feeds us well, everything is negotiable."He didn't dare have a bad temper anymore. Hunger had finally beaten him into submission. At first, he'd looked down on feeding, seeing being bought and used as a humiliation. But once he'd tasted the sweetness, there was no turning back.He could tell very clearly the difference between sweetness and suffering.…After the misunderstanding was cleared up, Morgan's temper did improve quite a bit—but he was still strange.Especially when he saw me being affectionate with Eli, he'd start speaking in a sarcastic, sour tone. His jealousy was intense, his possessiveness overwhelming. It didn't matter that the other person was

Morgan fainted from hunger, so I had Eli carry him into my bedroom.I looked at Morgan lying on the bed. Because of his work, he usually exercised a lot, which meant his appetite was naturally larger as well. The fact that he'd managed to hold on until now was already impressive.I took a deep breath, took a quick shower, then undressed and "fed" Morgan. After tasting a bit of sweetness, Morgan regained some strength and woke from his unconsciousness. When he realized he was lying naked on the bed, panic flickered across his face."Master, you—!"I forced myself to stay calm. "Weren't you hungry?"Morgan stiffened his neck. "No!"Still being stubborn at a time like this.Annoyed, I kicked him away and turned to get out of bed. "Fine. Eat or don't."Morgan, who'd been throwing a tantrum just a second ago, seemed to enjoy the kick. He lunged at me like a starving wolf, biting down eagerly.Seriously, did he have a problem or what? Did he really have to get hit before he felt sa

Among the relatives my age, my cousin and I were the closest. She didn't bother hiding anything from me. "After I broke up a while ago, I bought an incubus. They're super popular right now—you've heard of them, right?"I nodded. But… how did she use an incubus to get rid of her acne? Could incubi even regulate hormones? My cousin leaned in close and whispered in my ear. "Yeah. Yvonne, I'm telling you… incubi are seriously nourishing. As long as you keep an incubus well fed, you can have him do anything. The experience is amazing."It suddenly clicked. So my cousin was that netizen who'd posted about the amazing experience.Seeing that I didn't react much, she waved it off. "Whatever. Once you have an incubus, you'll understand how well I've been eating."Since she'd been honest, I decided to be honest too. "I have incubi." Two of them, actually. She looked at me with that I-knew-it expression of a kindred spirit. "I knew it—you and I are both shamelessly lustful!"I was speec

Eli brought a glass of milk into my room. Seeing how listless I looked, he asked with concern, "What's wrong, Master?"I pressed my lips together. "The shop where I bought you guys… it shut down."In a place where I couldn't see, Eli's tea-colored eyes flickered with an unreadable glint. "Maybe they just sold out of incubi."That was the only way I could comfort myself. After leaving that store page, I browsed other incubi shops online. Although each store sold different incubi, the categories were the same. That meant the manuals should be more or less identical. I was wondering how to snag a free instruction guide from another shop to take a look when Eli suddenly knelt down."Master, if you're angry, you can hit me," he said softly, lowering his head in complete submission, as if ready to accept any punishment. "Morgan and I are twins. He's my younger brother. If he upset you, I share the blame."Eli was always obedient, sensible, gentle, and well-mannered. Besides, Morgan was
