Yvette Warren, personal secretary to billionaire Orson Cox, announced that the heiress who was accidentally switched at birth 20 years ago was living in this orphanage. Whoever could prove their identity would inherit a billion-dollar fortune. In my first life, the two-faced Laurel Marsh tricked me into giving her my keepsake to claim the family. The Coxes tore her mouth apart. "Fraud!" In my second life, my frenemy, Rebecca Vargas, tattooed a fake birthmark on herself to claim the family. The Coxes had her skin slashed to shreds. "Still a fraud!" In my third life, my sworn enemy, Vita Davidson, took out online loans to get plastic surgery, reshaping her face to resemble Orson's wife. She tried to claim the family and was thrown straight into a mastiff cage by the Coxes. By my fourth life, no one dared steal my identity anymore. They packed me up overnight and delivered me straight to the Cox residence. When the DNA test confirmed I really was the heiress, everyone thought the nightmare was finally over. But on my very first night back, the Coxes shoved me off a high-rise building. "Anyone who dares steal our real daughter's identity deserves to die!" When I opened my eyes again, Yvette was smiling as she asked who the heiress was. Everyone backed away in terror, insisting they weren't the heiress. Yvette's voice turned low and eerie. "But our investigation shows that the heiress is definitely in this orphanage."

Chapter 1

The four of us stared at the photocopy of the property transfer agreement, fear written all over our faces.

Our ages matched the real heiress. While we had already tried to claim the family, every single one of us ended up dead.

So was there really an heiress here?

"Is it possible there isn't an heiress here at the orphanage, and you're looking in the wrong place?" Rebecca Vargas cautiously asked Yvette Warren, secretary to billionaire Orson Cox.

The smile on Yvette's face never changed. "Mr. Cox already confirmed it. The heiress is here. We just don't know which one of you she is yet."

She pointed at the photocopy.

"Mr. Cox has already prepared the property transfer documents. As long as you can prove your identity, you can sign immediately and inherit the estate."

Laurel Marsh, who had always wanted a comfortable life, jumped back at once, shaking her head frantically.

"It's definitely not me. I-I'm actually much older than I look!"

Rebecca, who always wanted to outshine me, didn't care about appearances anymore. She lifted her shirt and exposed her lower back.

"Didn't you say the heiress has a birthmark on her lower back? I don't have one, so it's absolutely not me!"

Vita Davidson lifted her shirt, too. To be extra safe, she even started spouting nonsense.

"Actually, I'm a man. I had gender reassignment surgery, so my gender doesn't even match. There's no way I could be the heiress!"

After that, they exchanged a glance and suddenly shoved me to the front.

Yvette looked me up and down.

"Then it seems it must be you, since you do resemble Mrs. Cox a little. You should come back with me right now."

A chill ran down my spine. Was it too late to ruin my face?

In my previous life, when I found out I looked like Orson's wife, Gillian Cox, I was actually proud of it.

I thought no matter how hard the three other girls tried to fake being the heiress, nothing worked better than simply showing my face.

Besides, I really was the heiress.

Just when I thought I had finally found my biological parents and was about to inherit a billion-dollar fortune and crush those three beneath my feet, the Coxes finished reading the DNA test and shoved me off the building without hesitation, leaving me smashed to pulp.

They looked down at me with twisted faces, their eyes full of viciousness.

"We will never allow anyone to impersonate our precious daughter!"

The pain of every bone in my body shattering was something I would never forget.

No matter how hard I thought about it, I couldn't understand.

I was clearly the heiress. The DNA test was flawless. So why was I still called a fraud?

I tried to find an excuse to deny it.

But Yvette didn't press me further.

Instead, she said gently, "I understand you might feel resentful that Mr. and Mrs. Cox only came to find you now, but they only just discovered the truth themselves."
