Lorraine and Sebastian talk.
They talk a lot. It's like a daily chore for her now, to talk with him for hours. Because he's so... attractive. He's that guy she imagines who's elegant and sophisticated but wild and crazy at the same time.
He's the guy she fantasizes about midnight driving in a Ferrari. Then stopping at the Hollywood hills to watch LA gleaming along with a bottle of beer and much laughter. Yes, they had decided on that too over their one of many late-night calls.
She's even met the rest of his group on face timing a couple of times.
Bad days are the ones when she can't talk to him due to her late-night shifts, same goes for him.
Today, she was exhausted. She was still on the set, it was noon and the heat was really going to be the death of her.
Lorraine was spoilt by her own money, and she worked her ass off to earn it. This day was the hardest day of her life, and this movie was the most challenging movie of her career.
There was just so much going around, the whole crew was restless, rustling here and there while she was gathering herself up to perform a stunt. Nothing new, same old, she'd jump off from eight feet set up with cords attached to her back.
Everyone was hurrying, someone in the mid of the rustling told her that was the camera was ready and she had to do the shot now. Some people adjusted the chords around her back.
"Comfortable?" The person, tightening the cords. Lorraine was never comfortable with those things but she nodded nonetheless.
"And...Action!"
She jumped from the height she was perched on, doing front-tuck mid-air but something was wrong. During the front tuck, the chords had tangled and before she knew, one of the chords was tearing away. She didn't even have the time to shriek before she fell slightly in front of the mattress down there.
Everything was hazy for a moment and there was a throbbing sensation on the bone of her eyebrow. People were running and yelling, someone came and made her sit, pressing her back against something.
"Call the ambulance!" There was Antoinette's distant voice.
Her hand automatically went to her forehead to soothe the pain, when she touched it with the back of her hand, there was blood. She winced at the burn her fingers had caused. She could feel the blood making a line from where her head was injured down her cheek and neck.
"Are you alright? Someone bring some cotton."
Lorraine nodded and someone handed her a water bottle.
Someone forced her to drink some water, someone fanned her even though she didn't need it. Someone wrapped a freaking towel around her for no reason.
She let out a shaky breath, hissing.
"It's fine, it's fine..the ambulance is coming."
Lorraine nodded and took the cotton ball from him, trying to clean the blood as lightly as she could.
She didn't know how long it took for the ambulance to come, after that everything passed in a haze. The stitches and all and now she was sitting on the hospital bed she was admitted in for a day.
She was bored, her injury didn't hurt for now. She got five stitches. Her assistant had gone to bring her 'exquisite cuisine', her assistant's words, not hers.
Lorraine was high maintenance, but she pampered herself with her own money so what was the problem. She was boujee.
Now she was bored. So she decided to call Sebastian, silently wishing he'd be free because he usually picked up in a half died state, she could say she did the same.
She video called him and he picked it up after a few rings. She couldn't see her at first because he was wiping his face with a towel, when he finally put the towel away, her breath hitched.
He was flushed all over and his pale skin was glazed with a thin layer of sweat, his hair was a mess as well. He was wearing a white t-shirt, she couldn't see the rest of it.
"I'm exhausted." He let out, exhaling a huge breath before drinking water from a bottle. She tried to ignore how his lips deliciously wrapped around the bottle.
He chuckled breathlessly at her, "I- wait what happened there? On your forehead?"
"I fell from some height during the shoot. The chords loosened while performing a stunt. Guess who's on break."
Sebastian analyzed her for a moment through the phone then spoke with a playful smirk. "You're enjoying it, aren't you? You got a break because of the injury."
She giggled. "I am."
He chuckled, "take care of that."
They had a staring contest on the phone before Sebastian broke into a snort. "I still can't believe you're like this. I had a completely different perception about you the first night we met."
"What were your perception about me, Mr Phoenix?"
"The first night?" He laughed. "Hazy thoughts of steamy scenes..."
"That's from the second day!" She pointed while laughing along with him. "The first night."
He thought for a while before he spoke, "I was entirely enchanted. I still am." He gave a sheepish, almost shy smile before continuing. "You know what your aura holds, Lorraine, so I wouldn't describe it. Just know you were born to do what you're doing. It shows how much it runs through you."
She tried to hide her smile by looking down. He was talking about acting, about being a celebrity. And it hit because it was all she had ever had.
"Thank you." She replied wittily. He smiled sincerely.
There was some rustling from his side and it was then she realised that he was gym before he looked over at her. "Hey, I need to go now. My assistant is calling."
"Bye." She said before the call ended.
He was right. The way he describes her is as if he's trying to read her, and to be honest, he was. There were many personas Lorraine could wear, she got paid for that.
But there were many, many things Sebastian had to learn and she didn't want him to learn those.
There it was, the small sense of fear brewing in her chest. Sebastian was enchanting, she didn't wanna leave him anytime soon. But he was just getting closer and closer to her.
He didn't know how she acted when she felt at threat. He didn't know what made her feel at threat. He didn't know she was fucked up, literally.
Hello! Hope you enjoy my story 💕
Lorraine stood by the glass window, a cup of coffee in her hand, a cigarette tucked between her lips. She didn't go back to Los Angeles, she came to her apartment in New York since Sebastian was here. She said she didn't wanna go back to Los Angeles so she came where he was. Sebastian was yet to know what happened back in her home town. She had been weirdly silent since she came, which was scary but Sebastian decided he was just gonna stay by her side until she decided to speak up.The cup of coffee was empty now and Sebastian lost track of time. She had just been standing there since so long. His chest was clenching badly at the sight of her and questions were storming in his mind. Sebastian went towards her, staring at her face. The city lights gleamed in her eyes as she stared at the view, her face painted with hues of blue and gold. But her expressions remained a void of emotions, which bothered Sebastian.Sebastian gently touched her hand, catching her attention as she flinched
Stepping into her hometown was nauseating, to say the least. She hated everything about it.Her hometown was very different from Los Angeles, it was smaller, greener. One could even be fooled into thinking it was liberating, wide spaces, flower gardens, the kind where one wants to elope with their lover. Perhaps it was, it could have been, at least. But the air reminded her of how it stung against her cuts. It was famous for its food, Lorraine thought perhaps that was the reason she was never big on eating.Coming here after ten years...Lorraine almost thought that it was a mistake, and all she wanted to do was turn around and get on her jet once again, flying back home. But in a twisted way, it was also kind of uplifting how she had rose from the ashes and had come back ten times stronger than before, only to mock and spit on the godforsaken land.Lorraine refused to meet her mother at her house, so they arranged the meeting in her office."Raine," The woman averted her head to the s
Xander had never seen a man so beautiful before in his life. Given, that no one could possibly be more gorgeous in a room where Xander existed, alluring and ethereal, God's finest piece of craft. But these Acker siblings had these eyes...these pair of champagne eyes that looked like would drip honey any moment as if those pair of hazy orbs were to give the elixir of eternity in the form of tears. But they could also very much drown you, one dip in the lake and the marines would be clutching your ankle and pulling you downwards in the depths of blue.So when Tom Acker cornered him against a wall and openly flirt with him- was Xander supposed to breathe? He supposed not. At least, he could not."I know you get this a lot but- you're the most charming person I've ever met."Xander raised his chin up and met the boy's eyes with his hooded ones."I get that a million times per hour.""Of course you do."Xander hummed. Tom wouldn't have been too old. On the contrary, he might have been too
Once upon a time, Lorraine Acker was a victim. With glinting eyes so big and always wide open to take in her world. Curious. Curious about everything, eyebrows always raised.About a decade ago or so.Once upon a time, Lorraine was helpless and naïve. Oh so naïve. She latched onto any but of comfort she could get. Trusted so easily. Easily enough to get hurt."You're with new bruises."Lorraine lifted her head from her knees, looking at the man in front of her. She rolled her eyes, pressing her cheek to her knee instead and drawing her legs closer towards her chest as a stray tear rolled down the bridge of her nose."That's not news now, is it?" She retorted, voice scraped like shards of glass which somehow made the man in front of get wince. She shouldn't be sitting here, it was fucking pathetic to sit in the middle of the corridor of her house. The maids don't judge but it made her feel weak. She was weak, though. That wasn't news either. The man in front of her was way older. Clad
Watching Tom smoke is not what Lorraine appreciated to see, at all. She hated it, even. But joined him nonetheless."You're a fucking sportsman and you're smoking Winchester, have shame." She commented. "I'm a sportsman with trauma, fucking cut some slack." Tom retorted, eyes sweeping over the water as they both stand at the edge of the yacht. "Besides, you're an actress."Lorraine rolled her eyes. "Hollywood is built on substances. The streets are full of them."Tom hummed, looking down, where the water sprayed in foam due to the motor of the yacht."I feel like–" he said. "I feel like sometimes we sound like him. When he talked about business y'know?""No." Lorraine replied instantly. "No, we're nothing like him. Nothing. He's a sick man. God knows I wish death upon him everyday."Tom places the cigar between his lips again, sucks in and breaths out puffs of smoke."Mommy dearest is selling the business for good."Lorraine furrowed her eyebrows."I thought the will was on you." She
"Lorraine, gorgeous, I love you. I really love you." Sebastian said. "But it's so fucking weird to hold an Oscar in your hand and go to your birthday party like you're holding a cheap beer bottle."Lorraine rolled her eyes, pulling a little on her boyfriend's hand as they entered Lorraine's yacht.Yes, it was her birthday. And she had never known how to feel about birthdays.Materialism was one thing but birthdays usually scared her. It felt like...why did they even come every year? She felt like shit at those days. She was usually filled with guilt upto her neck on her birthdays. It wasn't that her birthday wasn't celebrated nicely. It was just that...her mother's birthday wasn't. A part of her was vivid at her mother, always will be. For not fighting for her when she was dying. Not fighting for her when she had jumped in the fire to save her life. But a part of her also pitied her.Endlessly.Because...She had always been a kind woman. Too kind. So much so that it became her weakne
