Cold Snap

”Nelson?" The voice said again accompanied with a loud knock on the door.

“Is that Mildred?" Victoria whispered with disbelief, she recognized her voice but refused to believe it was her.

Nelson nods in affirmation.

“What's she doing here? And how come she is looking for you?" Victoria asks, perplexed by the whole situation.

“When you disappeared, Mildred came through, and has been keeping company since then". He says with a smirk.

Victoria shakes her head. What was she thinking? How could she let herself fall for Nelson's seduction again? He was nothing but a promiscuous man.

“She can't see me here". Victoria pleads.

“But I have to let her in, or she'll keep knocking ". Nelson replies, with no worry in his tone. He was definitely enjoying this.

“I'll have to hide". Victoria says quickly, “Please...do not let her know I am here". She begs again.

“Got it". Nelson promised, and goes to open the door while Victoria finds a place to hide.

“What took you so long to open up?" Mildred asks
