  Two weeks later, I was preparing something nice for my boyfriend's birthday. I was not sure how he would react since he never celebrated his birthday but his friends said it was worth a try.  We had spent time together almost every day except for the two previous days. It was almost like he was avoiding me. Charity told me that he does that when it is near his birthday and a week after, he is back to normalcy.

We were in the kitchen, "Do you think he will like this?" I asked Charity

"Of course. If he shows up!"

I was worried. What if he doesn't?

I helped her arrange the simple dinner on the gazebo as Marty and Gary sat drinking beer. Then I went to freshen up, putting on a dress he got me and the diamond earrings. Elena offered to do my makeup up and I thought it was worth a try.
