Chloe's Pov
Spending time with Derek made me realize what I had been missing. With him, everything felt right though, in reality, we were not safe considering someone out there was trying to get to him through me.
At least I was happy while it lasted.
Derek and his team were leaving the following day after locating the big enchilada. I was happy knowing soon all this will be over and will go on with our lives. He spent the whole day with me except for meals and toilet breaks.
"I don't wanna leave you" he was worried and I could tell something was bothering him.
"I know but you worked hard for this mission, don't let me stop you"
As much I love him, I wasn't going to be the reason he fails in his mission.
