CHAPTER 6

People couldn't help but cheer in their seats when they saw the representatives of the different packs. The screams got even louder when they saw the famous prince of the empire.

"I never thought Prince Hubert would come here."

"Wow, look at them. They are all dominant."

"Ah, why did I become a beta? I also want to be an omega because they are looking for a fated mate."

"But why isn't the Eastern Pack representative there? Did something happen?"

There are various talks about the representatives, but still, nothing can beat the excitement they feel when it is announced to everyone that the Beta Warrior Selection will begin.

It seems like a bubble burst, and the talk about representatives disappeared when the Beta Warrior Selection started.

"Are you sure Marc and Vellum felt the fatal attraction for being fated pair?"

Cathy had a worried look on her face when she heard the news about Marc's early heat attack. Not only that, she was also worried that Vellum might use the fact that her brothers were not there to protect Marc and head to his room.

Yes, Cathy didn't know Vellum, but the instinct of an alpha towards his fated omega was undeniably very strong. No matter what happens, he will find Marc.

"Don't worry, Miss Cathy, there are many alphas guarding Representative Vellum's room. As for Marc, he's not as strong as you, and since he's already taken an inhibitor, his heat hit isn't that strong anymore."

Cathy just nodded at Ole's explanation. Even if Ole did something bad back then, it cannot be denied that he is doing everything now to atone for her sin.

"That's good," Cathy immediately said, breathing a sigh of relief. "Alphas know how strong the fatal attraction is said to be by alphas who name-meet their omega, so they will definitely protect Marc."

"Yes, Miss. One more thing: Representative Vellum is an outsider, so they keep a tighter watch on his room. Even outside the window, someone is watching," Vin softened.

Marc and Cathy have been friends since their second gender manifested. Also, because there were only a few omegas in their pack, they became really close to each other. That's why Vin and Ole understand why Cathy is worried about Marc's condition.

Their attention was diverted when they heard the shouting and saw that someone had already won the first battle.

Cathy looked at the seat of the representatives and frowned when she saw a familiar face. She did not know where or when she saw him. She held her chest. Not only that, she also feels as if something is different inside her. She couldn't say what it was, but she wanted to come closer to it.

However, Cathy stopped it. First off, that's a dominant alpha. Second, an outsider. Third, even though she feels like she knows him, she still can't say that she really knows him.

Beta Warrior Selection continued until the first batch of matches was over. Cathy did not immediately leave the room where she watched because she knew she would meet the representatives. It's hard to imagine something bad might happen.

Even though there are only two months left before his coming of age and two months left before his inner wolf fully awakens, it's better to be careful. Because he can't say that what happened to Jay Marc won't happen to him.

"Miss Cathy, I think we can leave now," Ole said gently while looking at the stage used for the pageant.

Cathy only uttered an "un."

Ole didn't even pay attention to this because he knew that this was Cathy's behavior.

Because there are outsiders, Cathy doesn't have the courage to go out. She also did not try to find Sian to invite him to a duel because he knew that there was a chance that representatives would go to the training hall.

Cathy sighed violently, throwing herself onto her bed. Because of this, the two betas who were always with her looked at her.

"Miss Cathy, it's only two days. Let's just wait, okay?" Vin reminded her.

What Duke Dominic told her—never let the representatives see Cathy—is still ringing in her ears. Not only Vin but also Ole.

"I know that." Cathy was staring at the ceiling of her room. "I'm just bored. Just kidding, I'm only going to stay in this room for three days? Who wouldn't be bored then, right?"

Knowing Miss' daily routine, Vin and Ole nodded. Cathy is always busy, and she will be really bored if she is always in her room.

Vin and Ole looked at each other as if they were talking.

"Miss Cathy, what did Duke Dominic say to you?" asked Ole, to make sure what she and Vin were thinking, there couldn't be a hanging.

Cathy looked at Ole and shifted her gaze to Vin. "Don't wander around inside the mansion," she answered, raising her eyebrows. "Don't tell me you're planning something." Cathy sat down, unable to believe what she thought.

The two betas in front of her are really loyal and honest to her father. That's why if she does something bad, it will definitely be known and affect her father. However, Cathy also knows that there are things that Ole and Vin do to her that they are not telling her. Especially if it's personal and won't harm their family name.

"Then, Miss, if Duke Dominic only said a mansion, you can't go to the village, right?"

Cathy stopped and looked at her two aids. I can't believe what the two are suggesting. She looked to see if it would reach his father or not.

Ole smiled when she read what Cathy's expression meant. "Miss, don't worry, it won't reach Duke Dominic. Also, we can also bring Sir Shou along if you want."

Cathy's abilities immediately shone; her smile widened and reached her ears. I can also see in her eyes that she is happy with the suggestions given by her two aids.

"You know, Vin and Ole, this is the first time you've taken my side."

Vin and Ole cleared their throats. Of course, they know what Cathy means. Because they are both loyal to Cathy's father, they actually say and report things that Cathy shouldn't be doing.

"Sorry, Miss Cathy, we're just doing our job." Ole looked away.

Cathy laughed. "Fine, I'll get over it now." She stood up. "What are you waiting for? Let's go!"

Vin and Ole's jaws just dropped. They didn't think that Cathy would be in a hurry to leave her room.

While Cathy was running, Vin immediately grabbed Cathy's cape to hide her identity. The people in the village already know that when there is an outsider and Cathy is wearing it, they cannot speak.

"Miss, we need to take Sir Shou with us!" reminded Ole while following Cathy.

"Don't stop; let's just go to the village quickly!"

Vin and Ole were unable to call Shou because of Cathy's speed. If it hadn't stopped, her two aids wouldn't have been able to catch up. Cathy actually stopped because she felt like something was going to happen. She immediately took the cape that Vin was holding and hurriedly put it on.

Vin and Ole looked at each other, knowing that when Cathy feels something bad is going to happen, this is what she does. Because of that, they became alert and looked around.

When they entered the village, everything was normal. There wasn't even a hint of strangeness, as they expected from Cathy's reaction. Even so, they still did not relax. They were still feeling their surroundings while watching and following Cathy.

Not long after, when they were in the middle of the village, while Cathy was talking to a stall owner, there was a buzz around.

There they found out that the three representatives were also inside the village, and with them were Shou, Ralf, and Jude. Due to the presence of Duke's three alpha sons, the surroundings became even more noisy.

"Shit."

Because of what Ole and Vin heard, they both now know why Cathy immediately put on a cape while she was still outside the village. She knew; she immediately felt that her three brothers were around.

On the other hand, Shou and Ralf's eyes caught Ole and Vin, and behind the two of them there was a person wearing a cape, holding tightly to the neck of the cape so that its face could not be seen. No matter what Cathy hides, her siblings know her stance.

Ralf and Shou approached Ole and Vin, causing the attention of the representatives to go to the person wearing the cape. The villagers knew who was wearing the cape, and that's why they left immediately because they didn't want to get involved.

They couldn't reveal who was behind the cape, and to prevent that from happening, people left one by one to do their own work.

"What are you doing here?" Ralf asked, looking at the person in the cape behind him.

They saw that Cathy's grip on the cape tightened even more, which is why her brothers knew that she would not speak.

"Do you know this person?" asked Prince Hubert.

Jude immediately smiled. "These two beta girls are assigned to watch over our sister."

Caisen, Prince Hubert, and Wade frowned. They looked at the person wearing a cape, and based only on the tightness of his grip on its cape, they knew that she had no intention of speaking or introducing herself to them.

Because of the brothers' reaction to the said relationship between the two beta girls, they have assumed that the woman behind the cape is the sister of Jude, Ralf, and Shou, who is also an omega that they will not show them.

"Sir Jude, Sir Ralf, Sir Shou, Miss is getting bored, so we'll just join her for a walk here." Vin came to protect Cathy because he felt that the prince wanted to take the cape that Cathy was wearing.

Ole also noticed this, which is why he immediately supported Vin. "We're going back now because Miss is already buying something she wanted to buy."

Without another word, Cathy just bowed and immediately left. The villagers did not even show respect to the prince, causing the villagers to be nervous for Cathy, but there was also admiration because Cathy was not afraid of the position the prince had.

Jude bowed and apologized to the prince for Cathy's behavior. "Excuse my brother, Prince Hubert. He's really shy and doesn't talk to anyone he doesn't know," Jude said, turning to where Cathy had gone.

On the other hand, Caisen just stared at where Cathy went. He knew that it was his friend and playmate when he was young. The only thing he wondered was why Cathy didn't greet Caisen when she knew him. On the other hand, Caisen also thought that because they were young, there was a chance that she had forgotten him.

It was as if a thousand needles pierced his heart when he thought that there was a chance that she had forgotten him. It seems to be his inner wolf hurting.

He seems to want to follow her and talk to her.

"Caisen," Ralf called his name, causing his attention to go to Raf.

Caisen saw Ralf narrow his eyes at him. "Why?"

"I can see in your face what you want to do," Ralf said. He approached Caisen and whispered, "Don't try anymore. When you talk to my sister, something bad will definitely happen, okay?" Ralf patted Caisen's shoulder.

Caisen didn't speak; he felt the warning in Ralf's words. Even though Ralf isn't that strong, his intelligence is different, so it's not good if he fights him.

Caisen wondered. Caisen grew up in the Eastern Pack with Vellum, and when he came of age, he was then brought back to the Southern Pack. When they were young, because her mother's pack and the Northern Pack were close together, she and Cathy always played together. But when he came of age, everything changed. At first, it was okay, but later he was banned from going to the Northern Pack.

He doesn't understand.

He wanted to understand why, but no one answered his questions. That is also one of the reasons why he agreed to be a representative and go to the Northern Pack.

But after that, he will return to the Southern Pack and has no intention of getting involved in the search for the fated omega. Somehow, for Caisen, you are just a waste of time.

On the other hand, Vin and Ole were relieved when they saw that Jude's group did not follow them. They didn't think they would be the ones to see. A great danger indeed!

If Jude, Raf, and Shou weren't with anyone, they would definitely follow Cathy until she pissed off by them. Fortunately, this did not happen.

Cathy was not in a good mood when she found out that, apart from her room and the room at the contest, she had lost her appetite, so they were thankful that they didn't get angry.

"I really thought we would be scolded," Vin said.

One of the reasons they are nervous is because they know that they will be reprimanded. Not yet, but they know that when they return to the mansion, they will be scolded.

"Ah, I feel like I'm going to explode," Cathy commented. She giggled. "Well, I didn't expect the three representatives to be there." They shrugged their shoulders.

Ole and Vin looked at each other; their jaws dropped. They didn't think that the only woman in the second generation of the family they were serving was fearless.
