Sophia and Jamella continued to strategize. Sophia glanced at the clock again; the ticking felt louder now.

“Okay,” she said, her voice stronger than before.

“Let’s write down what I need to say. I want to be clear about everything.”

Jamella nodded, pulling out a notepad and pen.

“Start with how you feel. Be honest. You’ve bottled this up for too long.”

Sophia bit her lip, thinking about her words carefully.

“I want to tell him how betrayed I feel, how this isn’t just about the affair—it’s about the trust we built. And now, I find out he’s stealing from me?”

Jamella scribbled down her thoughts.

“Good. That’s important. And then maybe focus on your pregnancy—how you’re trying to build a family. Remind him that his actions affect not just you, but the baby too.”

A wave of emotion washed over Sophia. The thought of her child—innocent—was both a source of strength and sadness.

“You’re right. I want him to understand that I’m not just fighting for myself; I’m fighting for our baby’s future.”

“Exactly!” Jamella said.

“And don’t hesitate to ask for answers about the money. This isn’t just a conversation; it’s a confrontation. You deserve to know where your hard-earned money is going.” Sophia took a deep breath, letting the words sink in.

“I need to demand respect. No more games. He needs to understand the gravity of what he’s done.”

The atmosphere shifted as they both focused on the task ahead. Jamella added more points to the list, highlighting things Sophia felt were essential.

“Remember, it’s not just about what you want to say. Be ready for his reactions too. He might try to deflect or downplay things.”

“I’ll be prepared,” Sophia promised.

“I need to stick to the facts and not get swept up in emotions. I can’t afford to lose control.”

"Remember this, Soph...You’re not just his wife; you’re a woman who deserves honesty and loyalty.”

“I know,” Sophia replied.

“I won’t let him manipulate me anymore.”

Suddenly, a car pulled into the driveway, its headlights slicing through the dimness of the evening. Sophia’s heart raced, and her stomach twisted with anxiety.

“That must be him,” she said, her voice trembling slightly.

“Are you ready?" Sophia stared at Jamella, as she nodded. But then, as the door creaked open and her eyes landed on Julian, everything that they'd planned collided.

She can't... She can't let go of him. She's too afraid that she'll lose Julian.

So, at the end. She just swallowed back all the words and confrontations that should belongs to his husband. Sophia accept the fact that Julian got all his savings to support his company financially, thinking that it's still gonna be her and their child who'll benefits from it.

Sophia stood outside the coffee shop. She hadn’t planned on this confrontation, but desperation clawed at her insides, urging her forward.

Julian’s infidelity with Vanessa had shattered her world, and now, faced with the reality of her husband’s betrayal, she felt she had no choice but to confront the woman who threatened to take everything from her.

The bell above the door jingled as she entered, and she spotted Vanessa sitting at a small table in the corner.

The other woman was casually scrolling through her phone, oblivious to the storm brewing just outside.

“Vanessa,” she said, trying to keep her voice firm. Vanessa looked up, her expression shifting from surprise to amusement.

“Well, if it isn’t the little wife. To what do I owe the pleasure?”

“Cut the games,” Sophia said, her tone sharper than she intended.

“I need to talk to you.” Vanessa raised an eyebrow, clearly entertained by Sophia’s presence.

“About what? How much do you miss your husband? Or maybe how you’re trying to make your pathetic little marriage work?”

“Enough!” Sophia snapped, her hands trembling.

“I came here to plead with you. Julian and I are having a baby, and I can’t lose him. I’m asking you—please don’t take him away from me.” Vanessa leaned back in her chair, a smirk playing on her lips.

“Oh, so now you’re the concerned wife? How cute. You really think your pregnancy gives you some kind of hold over him?”

“It’s not just a hold; it’s a family!” Sophia’s voice cracked with emotion.

“I love him, Vanessa. I’m begging you to let him go.” Vanessa’s laughter filled the air, sharp and mocking.

“Love? You think love is enough? You’ve already lost him, Sophia. You can’t keep him just because you’re having a baby. That doesn’t mean anything to him.” Sophia felt the tears welling in her eyes.

“You don’t understand! We can work things out. I can be better; I can do better! I’m not asking for much—just a chance to prove that I can make him happy.” Vanessa leaned forward, her gaze cold.

“You think you can change who you are just like that? You think he’ll suddenly want you because you’re pregnant? You don’t know Julian like I do.”

“Then help me understand!” Sophia pleaded, her desperation is growing now.

“If you care about him at all, just walk away. This isn’t just about you; it’s about his child, too. Our child!”

Vanessa scoffed, crossing her arms.

“Care about him? Please. I don’t owe you anything, and I certainly won’t let you dictate my relationship with him. If he wants to be with me, he will.”

Sophia took a deep breath, trying to steady herself, but the anger surged within her.

“You’re just a distraction to him. You think he truly cares about you? You’re nothing but a fling!”

“Is that what you tell yourself to sleep at night?” Vanessa shot back.

“That I’m just a fling? That he’ll come crawling back to you? I’m sorry to break it to you, but he’s done with you.”

“Stop lying!” Sophia shouted, the coffee shop falling silent around them.

“He doesn’t love you! He loves me! I’ve known him for years. We built a life together. You’re just a temporary escape!”

“Maybe you should’ve thought about that before you became so boring,” Vanessa retorted, unbothered by the eyes on them.

“You pushed him away with your predictable life. If he wanted you, he wouldn’t be with me. Come to think of it, who'll stay to a woman whose parent's died and surpassingly known that she's just an adopted child with no inheritance?"

"Don't you think that it's only your wealth that's why Julian pushed himself to love you before, huh?"

“Predictable?” Sophia seethed.

“You think a stable home is boring? I’m trying to create a family here, something real! What are you offering him—just a fun time?” Vanessa leaned in closer, her voice low and dangerous.

“I offer him excitement, Sophia. Something you can’t give him anymore. And if you think you can just waltz in here and demand he come back, you’re sorely mistaken.”

Sophia felt her heart drop.

“I’m not demanding anything. I’m begging you. Please let him go. I’m scared and alone, and I need him now more than ever.” Vanessa’s expression shifted slightly, a hint of pity flickering in her eyes.

“You think I’m the villain here? You don’t know the half of it. Julian and I have something real. If he wanted you, he would’ve fought for you. But he didn’t.”

“Maybe he’s confused!” Sophia shouted.

“Maybe he doesn’t know how to feel about you because he’s caught up in a lie! Don’t you see that?”

“He knows exactly what he wants,” Vanessa replied coolly.

“And if he wanted you, he would’ve told me to back off. But he hasn’t. He’s with me now. Deal with it.” Sophia felt the heat of anger coursing through her veins.

“So, this is how it is? You’re just going to steal my husband and act like it’s no big deal?”

“Steal?” Vanessa laughed, shaking her head.

“He’s not a possession, Sophia. You can’t just claim ownership of him. He has his own desires, and clearly, he’s chosen me.”

“Stop it!” Sophia cried, feeling the tears spill down her cheeks.

“I just want my family back. I can’t believe you would do this to another pregnant woman.” Vanessa leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms smugly.

“You should have thought about that before you let your marriage fall apart. You lost him, and now you’re trying to fight a battle you can’t win.”

“Fine!” Sophia spat, wiping her tears away with anger.

"But I'll make sure, at the end, Julian will choose me and our baby over you!"

“Good luck with that,” Vanessa said, a dismissive wave of her hand.

She glanced back at Vanessa, who wore a smug expression, and she realized that this was a battle she might never win.

“Julian…” she whispered under her breath, the pain slicing through her.

Would he really choose this life with

Vanessa over her? Would he leave behind everything they built for the thrill of something new?

Would she ever find a way back to Julian, or was it truly over?

"No... she can't take my husband from me. If I'll need to seduce my own husband, I will..."

The soft glow of lights bathed the beautifully decorated living room in a golden hue, making it feel like a cozy nest of happiness. Laughter bubbled from the kitchen, where Alexander’s father and Sophia’s dad were engaged in a lively conversation.Aaron, clutching Sophia’s hand with his tiny fingers, felt a rush of excitement mixed with a sprinkle of nervousness. It wasn’t every day they got to join in on gatherings like this, and a world of wonder awaited him. Before he could voice his thoughts, Alexander crouched down to meet Aaron’s curious gaze, his eyes twinkling with warmth. “Hey there, Aaron!” he said, extending his hand for a high five. “I’m really glad you’re here.”Aaron hesitated for a heartbeat, then, with a grin that lit up his face, he smacked his palm against Alexander’s. “Me too!”Alexander chuckl

The atmosphere in the interrogation room was thick with a palpable tension, like a tightly wound spring just waiting to snap. Above, the harsh fluorescent lights flickered sporadically, casting dramatic shadows that danced across the cold, gray walls—an eerie backdrop to the standoff unfolding within. She had been here for what felt like an eternity, an hour filled with the agony of waiting—waiting for the detectives to come at her with their accusations, waiting for their attempts to crack her composure. With a creak that seemed to echo off the walls, the door swung open.In stropped two detectives, their demeanor as cold and calculating as a winter's night. The ride home unfolded in a blanket of silence, heavy and thick, as if the air itself had decided to hold its breath. In the distance, the flickering lights of police cars danced like fireflies, a haunting reminder of the chaos they had just escaped. The wreckage was now behind them, but the memories clung on like stubborn shadows, refusing to let go. The tires hummed rhythmically against the asphalt, the only sound piercing through the tension that enveloped the car.Sophia sat in the passenger seat, her arms wrapped around herself, peering out the window as if the passing scenery could somehow wash away the night’s harrowing events. Her mind replayed the drama like a broken record—the heart-pounding chase, the crack of gunfire, the horrific wreck that had nearly claimed them. Each moment echoed in her thoughts, leaving her feeling cold and unsettled. In the backseat, Alexander was a study in stillness. His expression was like an unreadable book, his fingers tapping absently against

The crash site was a chaotic swirl of flashing red and blue lights, casting vibrant hues against the dark canvas of the night. Police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks surrounded the mangled wreckage. Officers dashed about with purpose, securing the perimeter while paramedics leapt into action, their faces set with determination as they raced to assess the damage. Above them, smoke curled lazily from the remains of Julian and Vanessa’s SUV, its once-proud metal frame now twisted and contorted against the cliffside. The road above bore the scars of the violent chase, a chaotic tapestry of skid marks, shattered glass, and debris that told a story of reckless speed. Alexander and Sophia found themselves seated on the dirt, hearts racing and bodies trembling, but somehow, miraculously, unscathed. The adrenaline still surged through them, a wild river of energy that made their breaths come in uneven bursts.Sophia ran a shaky hand through her hair, her gaze fixed on the burning wreckage,

The smoke curled and twirled in the night air, wrapping around Alexander and Sophia like an unwelcome shawl as they burst onto the rooftop, their breaths coming in ragged gasps, hearts pounding like a drum in their chests. Below them, the distant wail of sirens harmonized with the crackling embers that danced like fireflies, but up here? Ah, up here, the city sprawled out in all its glittering glory, an endless sea of lights.Sophia pressed her back against the rusty water tank, its metallic surface cold and unforgiving. She gripped Alexander’s wrist just as he was about to dart off into the unknown. “Wait!” she hissed, her voice barely rising above the whispering wind that tousled their hair. “Do you hear that?”In an instant, Alexander froze, straining to catch the faint murmur of voices drifting over the low concrete barrier. He edged closer, moving with the stealth of a cat, peering into the shadowy depths at the rooftop’s far edge. There stood Julian, leaning casually against the

Sophia’s heart raced like a wild drum as she took stock of her surroundings. The room felt sparse and bare, its corners adorned only by a few forlorn items: an old wooden crate that had seen better days, a rusty pipe that looked like it had stories to tell, and a discarded piece of metal, glinting like a forgotten treasure in the dim light. She focused intently on the rhythms of her captors, Julian and Vanessa. She noted the times they flitted in and out, the cadence of their conversations, their little habits, each detail adding to her growing resolve.“Think, Sophia,” she murmured to herself, determination knitting her brow. “You can’t give up. You’ve got to find a way out of here...” Her gaze swept the room, landing on the rusty pipe, glistening with potential just within her reach. If she could just maneuver her chair a little closer, she might have a chance! She began to shift her weight, inching her chair toward the tantalizing prize, her heart pounding a steady rhythm of hope
