Heartbreak.
Complete heartbreak was what Idara felt when Isioma was shot dead in her presence about thirty minutes ago. She'd never in her life witnessed a murder before, except for the ones she'd seen in movies—especially documentaries and fast-paced action films.
Seeing it in real life was an entirely different ball game for Idara.
Sobbing, Idara glanced at Isioma's blood on the wall and on the ground and wished they'd killed her instead. Even though she knew for a fact that she was next in line to be killed, she truly wished she was the first person that died rather than Isioma.
Poor Isioma definitely didn't deserve to die for such petty reason. If Idara could take her place or bring her back to l

Her eyes were solely fixated on Yomi, who sat three rows before her seat, having so much fun with his friends.Apparently, Yomi was surrounded by some fine babes who were hopelessly drooling over him, and Idara didn't want to interrupt their conversation by walking up to Yomi to apologize for her wrongdoing, so she decided to wait instead until he was all alone, even though it might take forever. At last — after twelve minutes to be exact — the ladies left, and Yomi took up his bag and got up to head out of the lecture hall. That was when Idara made her move.“Yo, Yomee!”&ldquo

She was particularly glad to see Isioma in good health, and thus took longer in embracing her while whispering “Thank you, God!” over and over again.Although Isioma was somewhat puzzled by Idara's actions, she didn't say anything silly or awkward to ruin the moment. Instead, she just assumed that Idara missed her so much, as she embraced her back. With all said and done, the trio went into Yomi's car to vibe and chill.“Where's Yomi?”“He went to print something at a cafe,” Idara answered Anastasia. “He'll be back

Why? Because the lady was none other than Candice, and she wasn't alone. She was holding hands with a bald-headed, thin man while they both chatted cheerfully in front of a big bookshop. And also because Candice had personally told him that she'd be absent in school during the day, because she had to do some photoshoots for a modelling agency, and then perform a makeover for a distinguished client of hers at a private spar later on.‘Goodness gracious! Is this what she meant by all of that? That she'd be hanging out with some tall, hairless man right

As planned, Tayo and Yomi were the ones who brought the others with their cars, so basically they all arrived there together.Presently, the time was 1:30 PM, and everyone had changed into their beach clothes. With everyone ready, Yomi suggested that they should all play a game of building sand castles individually. As expected, everyone else bought the idea, and then they all got to work almost immediately. While crafting her sand castle, Idara received a light pat on her back from Tayo. She faced him and smiled with glee. “Don't laugh. I personally know it's trash. You don't have to remind me.&rdq

Clearly, something wasn't right about such kind act from Candice of all people, and Idara was well aware of that fact, but she had to accept the tea regardless, because Yomi's eyes were also on her, carefully watching her every move.“Come on, Idara, take a sip and tell us how it tastes.” Candice said, still smiling sweetly. “Pretty please?”“Candice,” Isioma called out sharply before Idara could do anything stupid, “why don't you drink it instead and let us know how it tastes, huh?”“Oh, sure
#JUST_BEST_FRIENDSAuthor: Sam FreddyCHAPTER 21: LOVE IS BLIND.———Skipping lectures had become a habit for Yomi ever since he met Candice, but he didn't care though. To him, if spending time with her would make him happy, then it was totally worth it.Today being Monday, Yomi was busy driving on a freeway with Candice by his side, who apparently had no idea where he was taking her to since he refused to reveal their destination. However, one thing she knew for sure was that every trip with Yomi always ended up super-duper cool. So, basically, she had no cause for alarm, except for the fact that her patience was running out gradually, due to the long duration of the ride.Groaning, Candice glanced at her smartphone's screen and said, “Ain't we there yet? It's twelve o'clock already.”“
#JUST_BEST_FRIENDSAuthor: Sam FreddyCHAPTER 22: CHAOS.———After what transpired between Yomi and Idara just yesterday, Idara hadn't been the same again. She felt like utter garbage anytime she recalled the pathetic incident, and — as if that wasn't enough — the fact that Yomi called her earlier to inform her about everything concerning his trip with his so-called "lover" (including a lovely poem which he got from her yesterday) amplified Idara's pain like never before. However, somehow, Idara attended her final class for the day, and then met with Anastasia and Isioma at a cool spot close to the school library, where she then narrated her ordeal to the ladies, who were both beyond astonished after listening to Idara's plight.“Honestly, I've never been hurt like this since I was born.” Idara added,

And Idara, being a typical softy, had agreed to Yomi's pleas without much fuss.Presently, the two best friends were listening to Yomi's car radio in silence while waiting for a go ahead sign from the traffic light.“Hey, Dara.” Yomi called, sensing Idara's odd mood. “You okay?”“Yeah.” Id
