It has been two days since that incident and Willow had become a shell of herself. She tried her possible best to be in the shadows and was able to get a pass to leave work early in order to avoid the incident happening again.

"You space out a lot, why?"

Her head turned to see Eve looking at her with a frown. "Sorry, I was just feeling tired. That's all," Willow mumbled. Eve raised a brow and pointed at their unfinished homework. "You promised to help me with my law assignment," she said. "You and I are not studying the same thing, Eve," Willow rolled her eyes. "But you made me follow you to the library," her best friend pouted.

Willow sighed, "I said we'd do our assignments together. Not that I'd help you." "But you still read those textbooks about law in your free time," Eve argued. "Doesn't this girl ever rest?" Willow thought to herself with a small smile.

"Eve, you need to use your brain sometimes," she pointed out. Eve scoffed and waved her off. "I use it all the time but I want to use that smartass brain in your head too," she said as she flicked Willow's head causing her to gasp.

"You're going to pay for that," Willow promised and Eve laughed.

"Hey girls," they looked up to see Kyle standing in front of them with his signature smirk. "Hey Kyle," Eve said with a smile and Willow forced a smile. He was tall with broad shoulders and always messy brown hair that looked hot. He was one of the heartthrobs on campus and it seemed to have hurt his ego that Willow turned him down.

"It was nice seeing you girls. See you later," he said with a wink and walked away. Willow rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to her books. "He was being nice," Eve nudged her shoulder. "Nice enough to think he'll get in my pants. I thought you even slept with him," Willow rolled her eyes again.

Eve blushed and played with one of her braids. "It doesn't matter. But he was really good in bed," she said and Willow laughed. "That's enough for today. Let's get back to work," she said and her friend nodded.

By the time they got back to the dorms, they parted and went to their different rooms. Willow walked into her room and went to lay on her bed. She let out a sigh and blew off the hair that was scattered over her face.

Then her phone began to ring. Not bothering to check who it was, she clicked the answer button.

"Yes?"

"You deserve a slap for talking to your grandmother like that, child!" the voice of her grandmother filled the room. Willow rolled her eyes and turned to lay on her back before bringing the phone close to her ear.

"Good afternoon, grandma. How are you?" she asked. "Well, I've been doing fine. I can take a stroll in the park for as long as I like now," her grandmother said with much joy that it made her smile.

"Your voice is healthier than the last time I called. You're taking your medications seriously," Willow said happily. "Of course I am, I don't want my granddaughter to start lecturing me about the health crap again." Her grandmother said and she chuckled.

"I hope you've been taking enough rest," Willow said. "Yes, yes. Aliyah has been on my neck ever since I got discharged," she could imagine her grandmother rolling her eyes as she said it.

"I'm pretty sure that's not the actual case. Is she there?" Willow asked. "Yes, she is. She's making fruit cake. ALIYAH!"

Willow was convinced her eardrums had been destroyed when her grandmother screamed for the caretaker.

She heard noise in the background before hearing a familiar voice. "Willow, it's nice to hear from you again," Aliyah said. "It's also nice to hear from you too, Aliyah. I hope Grandma isn't giving you any trouble," Willow said.

"I can hear you!" she heard her grandma in the background followed by Aliyah's giggle. "She's not, even though she can be a hand full at times," she said. "I am not!" grandma exclaimed and the two girls laughed.

"I do not accept this way of the both of you talking about me. I'll report you to the authorities," Grandma said while collecting the phone.

"Oh grandma, don't get your health worse. Don't give her too much trouble, get some rest. I'll call you later," Willow said to her. "Be a good girl and have a social life," her grandma said and hung up.

Willow rolled her eyes and stretched her limbs.

Her mind went back to the incident that happened and she felt her stomach churn with the urge to vomit her lunch.

"I'm not the first girl to experience this and I won't be the last. I need to overcome it," she mumbled to herself and curled herself up in a ball. "I didn't get raped at the end," she said and then she remembered Nathan and Chase.

She needed to thank them for helping her.

It would be easy if she could find them but it would be dumb to comb the whole campus just because she wanted to say thank you.

She then made a mental note that to appreciate them if they ever crossed paths.

"So how has school been, son?"

Nathan rolled his eyes at his father's typical question. "The same," he replied. "Anything new that we should know about?" his father asked. Nathan sighed and rubbed his face tiredly as he walked out of his lecture room.

"Nothing that I can think of," he said.

"What about that blonde girl that I saw you with the other day. Christmas is her name?" he raised a brow at his father's question.

Why in the world would someone name their child Christmas?

"Seriously dad? Her name is Crystal," Nathan stated. "Oh yes, I remember. She's a nice girl, why don't you bring her for dinner sometime?" his father offered.

"No, dad. I'm no bringing her over for anything," Nathan said. There was no way in hell he'd let Crystal come near his family, he'd rather chew sand. "She's a good girl," his father said. "As if," Nathan thought to himself.

"Your grandfather is worried about you," his father said. "Dad, I'm just twenty one, give me a fucking break," Nathan said. "That was the same age I met your mother," his father countered.

At the moment, Nathan wished he could trash his phone immediately. "I have a class right now and I need to go. Bye," he said and hung up before his father could talk.

"They're delusional," he mumbled and made his way to his next class.

Everything began to go smoothly for the remaining few months. It was now December and everyone was now Christmas shopping. Thanksgiving was spent in the Reyes mansion. Grandma Marie came over with Willow's father and sister. The whole extended family was present and it was warm and homey."Mommy," Willow turned her attention to her daughter. They were on holiday but she still needed work. "Yes, sweetie?" she replied as she went to her daughter and handed her breakfast. "Why aren't you staying home with us?" Wave asked as she took a sip of her hot coco. Willow gave her daughter a smile, "Mommy doesn't get holidays, that's why she can't stay home."Wave pouted and Willow giggled before ruffling her hair. "Nate! Daniel! Get down here now!" Willow yelled with an eye roll. "Is Aunt Nadia still coming over?" Wave asked her mother. Willow nodded and patted her head before going back into the kitchen to get food for the others."Did you really have to interrupt our game?" Nathan grumbled as he

People's joy knew no bounds when the news of Nathan's recovery spread everywhere. The doctor, which was Jayden, advised that he'd be on bed rest for minimum of a week so he can regain his full strength. Nathan was not at all happy with this and he used every means to show it. The only thing that eased his unhappiness was that the kids were staying home with him because they were on mid-term break.Daniel wouldn't stop apologizing over and over again for causing his father to go through pain. "Daniel, it's alright. Things happen, stop apologizing," Nathan said to his son as he stroked his hair. Daniel snuggled closer to his father with tears falling down his cheeks. "I don't want you to die, daddy. Mommy used to cry everyday but she didn't want us to know," he said and wiped his cheeks. Nathan looked at his son's teary face and sighed before wiping his face with his hands. "Everything will be okay from now on," he said and Daniel nodded before hugging him. Then his mother walked into t

It's been three months since Nathan's accident. It spread through the news and even got to newspapers and magazines. There was even a part that stated him having kids in secret because there was a picture of Wave and Daniel calling him daddy while trying to wake him up. All these things didn't bother Willow at all. She'd spend every single day taking care of him. Whenever she was done with other patients, she'd go back to attending to him. Every day, she'd bring the kids over to talk to him about their day. According to research, the voices and touch of one's loved one can bring he or she out of coma. It has been three months but Willow didn't plan on giving up."Hey," she turned to see Jayden walk in holding a starbucks drink in his hand. "I'm not sure if you'd want to eat anything, so I got this instead," he said as he handed her the drink. She thanked him and turned her attention back to Nathan. She just wanted him to open his eyes."His vitals are now stable, it's left to him to d

Willow was busy giving her patient treatment when there was a knock on the door. With a frown Willow asked the person to come in. She turned around to see her kids walk in with their class teacher. On instinct, she stopped what she was doing and quickly went to meet them."Mommy!" they were both crying and Willow noticed that their uniforms were stained with blood. She looked up at the teacher, "What happened?" she turned her attention back to her children and began to search for cuts or bruises. "There was an accident," the teacher said."Daddy," Wave hiccupped on her tears and Willow's eyes widened. "W-what happened to him?" she could barely contain herself. "I rushed to the scene a little late. He was hit by a car I think, but he's not in a good state," the teacher said with a sad tone and Willow knew it was bad. "Where is he?" she asked her. "He's in the emergency ward at the moment," the teacher replied. "I did not know, mommy," Daniel's face was puffy and red, stained with tear

The next morning, Willow didn't say a word to Nathan. She decided that she wasn't going to meddle in his business anymore. Yesterday night, she didn't cry just because of what Kiara had told her. She cried she realized how much she loved Nathan. Ignoring his existence would be the best option.Nathan was fed up with her silence and stood up from the dining table to meet her in the kitchen. "Willow"Her shoulders tensed at his voice but she refused to look at him as she continued to do the dishes. "Willow, lease talk to me," he pleaded. She turned to him with a very fake smile. "Good morning, please take the kids to school or they'll be late," she said and walked out of the kitchen.Nathan exhaled in frustration and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Oh God, please help me."∞"Did you ask him to confirm if it's true or not?" Eve asked her. "I didn't want to walk to him at all," Willow mumbled as she looked through her patients' files. "But you don't know if it's true or not? You can't j

It was a Sunday evening. Willow was seated on the floor in the living room, typing her report in her laptop while her kids played with Star. "Be careful, kids," she said, not looking up from her work as she heard them scream excitedly. Willow rolled her eyes at their enjoyment. Then, she heard the front door slam shut loudly, causing her to frown. She didn't expect Nathan to come home early. She looked up and frowned deeper when she saw a slim but familiar woman storm in. her eyes widened, "she was the woman she met at Nathan's office." But she couldn't remember her name."So it's actually you!" Kiara snared at Willow, seeing her comfortable on the floor in Nathan's house. Nathan rarely let people at his home, except they were family or very close to him. Why would he allow someone like her here?"Huh?" Willow frowned in confusion. Kiara's eyes fell on the two kids that were playing with the dog. So he has kids with this woman? Was she his wife?"No, it couldn't be possible," she th
