تسجيل الدخولMattThree months later …It took a lot of convincing, but I was finally able to convince Taylor not to call off the baby shower that our moms had worked so hard to plan. Shortly after Drew disappeared, we told her parents what was happening so that they would take precautions. That meant that we also had to tell them that their daughter was now a wolf. When they found out, Robert and Nancy refused to take our calls for weeks, but I think they were more hurt that they were kept in the dark than anything else. Eventually, they came around, and now here we are, about to celebrate the fact that our daughter would be born in less than four weeks. I admit that it was hard to celebrate, but Taylor needed the distraction. We all did. There hadn’t been one sighting of Drew since he escaped, and we had no clue where to find him. We had some of the best trackers in the world, but still came up with nothing. But today, I wanted to see Taylor’s beautiful smile and hear her laugh. I wanted her
MattI didn’t sleep last night. I just couldn’t. I was never the guy who got pleasure out of someone else’s pain, and I never thought that I would disrespect my mate. But in the span of one night, I did both, and I didn’t know who I was anymore. The sun wasn’t up yet, so as quietly as I could, I crept downstairs and to the kitchen. I was surprised to see Tyson there, drinking coffee and sitting in the dark. Xander had a guest room set up for him on the second floor while his living situation was being figured out. “What are you doing up? You’ve got a beautiful woman in your bed, and you’re down here?”I walked to the coffee pot and poured myself a huge cup, then went and sat next to him. “Last night was fucked up. I never expected things to go as far as they did.”“It’s a fucked up world we live in, but you knew that going in. So, what’s the real issue?”“I enjoyed it.”“Ahh. Well, that’s different.”“Yeah.”We sat in silence for a few minutes before he dropped some words of wisdom
MattTaylor was tucked in bed, fast asleep, and she was safe. I would never have to worry about something happening when she was out of my sight again, and I’ve never been more relieved. I stood in the basement watching as Tyson and Kade snapped silver-coated shackles onto Drew’s wrists and hoisted him up into the air. I had no idea how much tranquilizer Tyson had given him, but he was comatose the entire ride home. “You gentlemen ready to wake him up?” Tyson asked. “Absolutely. I’ve waited long enough,” I said, stepping closer to Drew’s dangling body. Kade walked over to the table in the corner and picked up a syringe and a blow torch. “Which one? I’m sure either will get the job done.”“Why not both?”He smiled at me, then handed me the blowtorch while he positioned the syringe of wolfsbane at Drew’s neck. Once I had the torch lit, I looked over his body to find the best spot to begin. I settled on his left hand. It was the closest, and I’m sure he used it more than a few time
TysonWhen I opened the door, there stood Drew, smug and pompous on the other side. I wanted to end my career with him as my final kill, but his life wasn’t mine to take. I stepped aside and let him in before any words were spoken. I didn’t want anyone to hear anything they shouldn’t. He looked around and frowned. “So, where’s my flower? Shouldn’t she be here?”“First of all, fuck you. Second, she’s not your flower; she belongs to me now. The dead body in my tub says so.”“Did she see you do it? That would’ve been a great punishment for all that she’s done.”“What is wrong with you? Just do what you came to do and get the hell out. I’m done dealing with your psycho ass.” This guy was really pissing me off. I was going to snap any second. He shrugged and looked around, bored. “Are you sure you want to take her instead of the cash? She’s been used plenty of times by him. Probably by the entire pack. You’d have a better time fucking a trash bag.”I snapped. My fist flew out and landed
MattAt a little after eight o’clock, I walked up to The Diston as planned. I made sure that my face was covered with murderous rage, which wasn’t hard when I focused on all the pain that Taylor had been put through. I pulled out my phone when I got into the lobby, and after looking at the screen, I went to the elevator and up to the twenty-fifth floor. From the outside looking in, I was every bit the enraged man who had tracked his fiancée and found her at a hotel with another man. But the fire that was burning in me was fueled by excitement, not rage. I’d finally get my hands on the man who had haunted Taylor for years. I’d break every bone in his body before we let him die. Break them, allow them to heal, then break them again. He would suffer; there was no doubt about it. And I’d take pleasure in every ounce of his pain. When the elevator chimed, I strode out and down the hall to suite 2517. I knew the guys were next door in 2515, but they had somehow found a way to mask their
Taylor The week passed by in a flash, and before I knew it, it was Saturday and time for my “date” with Tyson. The plan was for him to take me to dinner, then to a hotel in the city. Xander and the rest of the guys would be at the hotel waiting, and there would be one of James’s guys shadowing us to make sure Drew didn’t pop up unexpectedly. Matt was supposed to “find” Tyson and me at the hotel a little after we arrived. They had everything planned out, but I had never been so nervous in my life. “Nothing is going to happen to you, okay? You just have to create the illusion that you’re out having a good time with an old friend. We’ll keep you safe, I promise,” Matt told me. “I know, but this is a big deal. I just hope we finally catch him.”“We will. Now stop worrying.”Xander came into the room, followed by Kade and Tyson. It was good to see that he was 100% healed and back to normal. It was rough seeing him so beaten up. “Alright, everyone, listen up. Tyson, you need to make th
