We walked past Amber’s shop—it was open, and I wanted to take a look.

“No one here knows who I am,” I said briefly, and we stepped inside.

The store was similar to the one back home. Different styles were distinguished by different colors and backgrounds. The register was directly across from the entrance, while the fitting rooms and a restroom were at the back.

The storage area started beyond the fitting rooms, naturally kept locked.

In one corner, there was a child-sized table with a box of toys. A toddler was playing with a train set on the table.

The walls were covered with pictures of Jenny modeling outfits—some I hadn’t even seen her wear before. Each section displayed images of the clothes available there.

The denim section was definitely my girlfriend’s request, but the short shorts looked really good on her in one of the pictures. I’d have to convince her to wear them this summer.

Jenny had been right—the salesgirl was attractive.

She had long, wavy brown hair, huge brown eyes, and a figure similar to Jenny’s. She was slightly taller than my girlfriend, though that wasn’t hard to be.

The store wasn’t packed, but several people were browsing and shopping.

“Hey,” I greeted the girl cheerfully. Brian just smirked.

“How come you’re not the store’s model?” I slipped into my old routine, and just as I expected, she laughed nervously.

“My friend and I are looking for clothes for his sister,” I gestured toward Brian.

“Not for your girlfriend?” she asked curiously.

“We don’t need to dress anyone,” I winked, making her giggle again.

I scanned the pictures and spotted my girlfriend in a pink mini dress—right next to an alien-themed outfit.

“Can we get that one?” Brian joined in, pointing at the alien dress.

“It says not for sale,” the girl smiled.

Neither of us would have had trouble getting her into bed.

“Then why is it displayed?” I asked, feigning confusion.

“Because the model is just an ordinary girl, like me,” she smiled.

“She’s definitely different from you,” I noted with a wink. Brian nearly burst out laughing, while the girl giggled nervously.

“She’s my boss,” the girl said.

“I hope she appreciates having someone like you here,” Brian started flirting too, making her laugh even more.

“Do you know the model’s size?” I asked. “I think your sister has a similar build, right?” I turned to Brian, who nodded smoothly.

“Which dress do you need?” the girl asked. “I know the model’s measurements.”

I pointed to the pink dress on the wall, and she handed me one.

It was a bright pink, strapless, form-fitting dress with cutouts on the sides and back.

Definitely eye-catching—perfect.

“My friend is right—you could be the model,” Brian said, making her giggle again.

I paid for the dress, we said goodbye, and left.

“I’m not used to this much laughing,” Brian said. “I have no idea how we survived back then.”

“We didn’t even talk this much,” I laughed. “But she’s a great salesperson. Aside from the giggling, she didn’t seem clueless,” I noted.

“No,” Brian agreed. “But I think Jane has a reason for not wearing this.” he pointed at the bag.

“I know—that’s why I’m making her wear it one of these days,” I smirked.

I stayed at Brian’s place overnight, and the next day, I picked up a few things since Jenny had called—Amber still wanted her to try on more outfits, so she wouldn’t be back until after lunch.

I set everything up in the apartment and handed Brian the list.

“Your confession inspired me,” I laughed at his questioning look.

On Sunday, we had lunch at my place. Luckily, after swimming, we both had a good appetite. In the afternoon, we went to his place to play video games.“When will the pool be finished here? Do you know?” Brian asked.“Jenny said in the fall when we come back,” I said. “Unfortunately, I’ll have to spend a day in the gym.”“I won’t even ask,” he laughed. “She’s definitely going to torture you.”By the time I got home, Jenny had already arrived and was unpacking.“I missed you,” I said, wrapping my arms around her. “How did the meeting go?”“Well,” she said. “They signed the contract.”“What contract?” I asked, curious.

“Yeah, Jenny always sees right through me,” I admitted.“I know, son,” he smiled. “Good luck. I can’t help you—this is between the two of you.” He laughed.“You bet on this too?” Amber asked, sounding exasperated.“She said she’d figure it out,” I muttered, feeling slightly offended. “You don’t think I’m just going to let it go, do you?”“You’re the boss,” Amber rolled her eyes, while our parents laughed.“Is it already sized?” I asked as I held the box. I remembered correctly—it was a stunning ring.“Yes, bro,” Amber smiled. “Dad asked me for one of those bijou rings she wears in photos, so I knew about it—Mom was the only one who didn’t.”

“Unfortunately, it was all for nothing,” I said, disappointed. “It’s no longer in the store, so there’s nothing to show. Does Jenny know you’re here?” I asked.“No,” Dr. Cox replied. “Mickey is at his friend’s place, and Jane left before us.”“I’m sorry about the ring, Jay,” Mrs. Julie said.“Good thing I pay attention to details too—not just Janie,” Dr. Cox laughed, making everyone look at him.“Adam,” Dad chuckled, “I think you should stop teasing them before they kill you tonight.”“Andrew? Adam?” Both mothers asked at the same time.“Ladies,” Dr. Cox said with a smile, reaching into his inner pocket and placing a blue heart-shaped box on the table. &ldquo

The next day, Dad drove us to the apartment, and I showed them around.“It’s not huge, but it’s perfect for the two of us. Thank you,” I said once we settled in the living room.“I see your girlfriend has made it feel like home,” Mom said, looking around.“Yeah, she’s slowly unpacking everything. Will the rent be covered over the summer too?” I asked, since we hadn’t discussed it yet.“As far as I know, it was leased for several years. Adam handled the paperwork,” Dad said.“If no one’s hungry yet,” Dad continued, “we could head to the store.”“Finally, I get to see my own shop,” Amber said excitedly.“Sis,” I said, “I’ve already been inside, but they

On Friday, Jenny drove home after school, pulling into my parents’ driveway just before dinner. The scent of home-cooked food drifted through the open windows, and as she stepped inside, the family was already gathered, waiting with expectant smiles.“Come in,” Brad said, opening the door. “Dinner’s just about ready.”“Good evening,” Jenny greeted everyone and sat across from me at the table—her usual spot. She seemed a little nervous, which was unusual for her lately.“Everything okay, dear?” Dad noticed.“Messyhair said everyone’s coming to visit our apartment tomorrow, but unfortunately, I won’t be able to be there,” she blurted out.“No problem, dear,” Mom reassured her. “Yes, I could only make time now.” So she took resp

I should’ve looked away. Should’ve stood up and left the room. But I couldn’t. She danced like temptation incarnate—teasing, graceful, slow. When she peeled back her sweatshirt and revealed the black corset beneath, I stood.I crossed to her in two strides, hands slipping around her waist.“What do you think you’re doing?” she giggled as I eased her down onto the couch.I didn’t answer. I couldn’t. My fingers were already tugging at her tracksuit, breath shallow. I nearly tore the fabric from her—and my own clothes too—blinded by how much I needed her. She laughed softly, her skin warm under my hands, her smile daring me to break every rule we’d set.“What do you think you’re doing?” she asked again, this time breathlessly, already reacting to my kisses.
