Ciao, everyone! (◍•ᴗ•◍)♡
Allow me to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for reading and supporting this story. In all honesty, this was my first try on romance genre because I am actually more on speculative fiction (fantasy, supernatural, and sci-fi). Just like how I always craft my stories, I also want this to become informative, and I really do hope that you have learned something from Julie Tearjerky (Eraserheads Series #2). It was always my dream and goal to write something under Queer Theory since the day I stumbled upon it in one of my Filipino Literature subjects in college (and Gender and Society as well). I want to prove that writing about the LGBTQ+ Community is not only limited to boy's love and girl's love because it actually encompasses a lot. It can tackle about one's gender and sexuality crisis, a tale of a modern family, and the struggles that come along with it. I felt like there's so much we still have not talked about sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression or simply SOGIE. I verily believe that it's about time that we showcase this kind of narrative to the audience through literature. I sounded like that of an advocate because this is actually one of things that I am highly advocating apart from mental health awareness and the environmental welfare.
This story is truly something meaningful and irreplaceable for me as it helped me achieve my dreams and goals when it comes to writing. This will always have a special place in my heart, and I also hope that it did find its way to yours. ♡
For clarification, this is not the end yet. This is the start of something new — season 2. The Dimagiba-Buendia Family is now back in the Philippines. Witness as Julie's modern unconventional family try to fine-tune their lifestyle to try to fit in to their new neighborhood. Some are good, some are religious, while others are critical, skeptical, and incredulous towards gender and sexuality.
The biggest thanks to GoodNovel for this opportunity of sharing this piece to the rightful audience. At first, I was really hesitant if I could find readers because I am still new to the platform and still journeying my way to familiarity. However, I felt already belonged as if I found my real place here in just a span of almost a month (this note was written in July 28, 2021, so that I wouldn't forget). Thank you so much for everything and God bless, everyone! ♡♡♡
PS. Leave your thoughts and messages in the comments. I would love to hear from you all. Thanks a lot! ♡Love,
Illinoisdewriter
This is a very special chapter and announcement because the next two installments under Eraserheads Series will be led by Mutyang Marikit or ‘Mari’ and Maliksing Makisig or ‘Maki’, respectively. Pag-iisipan ko pa kung anong story naman ang ibibigay ko for Kundimang Bahaghari or ‘Hari’. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you with all my heart and soul for your gems, reviews, and ratings. I hope you could give me one as it will help me in promoting this story and in sharing my advocacy regarding gender and sexuality with a bigger and greater audience here on GoodNovel. Thank you, thank you so much! I wouldn't make it this far without all of you. This will be the last part for Julie Tearjerky but see you in my upcoming stories under the Eraserheads Series. I hop
This special chapter will chronicle the Buendia Twins' experiences while growing up. This will be told in third person point of view. “Buendia, Mutyang Marikit D. First Honors.”
Kayo ba?” “May date kami ni Marvin. He said he doesn't want to make a surprise for me this year. We all laughed at that and when it died down, they both turned to me. “Ikaw ba, Julie?” asked Florence. “Hindi ko alam, e. Pero gusto ko sana this year, ako naman ang sumurprisa sa kay Roma.” That was
“How are you? It's been a long time.” “Prince...” ang tanging nausal ni Roma. “I thought you joined the Philippine Military,” dugtong naman niya nang makabawi. Prince gave him his small boyish smile. “I didn't push through it. That's not what I want. This... is what I want.” It's really been a long time since they last saw each other. They didn't even have a proper breakup. They were just taken away from each other. The changes in him were noticeable as well. He grew taller, had some stubbles, and gained more muscles, very similar to Roma right now except for the facial hair. His skin was maintained clear, smooth, and pristine. Skincare was life for Rom
ROME KNEW IN his heart that he really loved Prince, but he also couldn't deny the immense care he had for Julie.
This is the first part of the epilogue, and this will be told in Roma's point of view in third person. Words are not enough to express how grateful I am that you have stumbled and have became an important part of Julie and Roma's adventures and misadventures since high school to their lives overseas and back to the Philippines where they raised their own modern unconventional family and sort out what they truly mean to each other. I hope you bring with you the lessons you have gotten from here about life, love, faith, and most especially about gender and sexuality. Respect everyone and never lose faith. He was also very vocal with it towards his family who never failed to support him in anyway they can.
