Chapter 18: Surprising Moment

I would have left his office because being with him in his office made me feel uncomfortable. Most especially the way he glanced at me. It was always giving me damn feelings.

I even overcame running non-stop along the highway. If I could just snatch out of his eyes, I would have done.

"Excuse me, Sir," I said goodbye to him, turning away.

"Wait, Miss Cordova," he said firmly, stopping me from coming out.

"Do you have anything else to order?" I turned around again but I wasn't glancing at his eyes.

“Nothing. Don't leave first. Come here and join me with this coffee,” he said, still looking straight at me.

I don't want that, the heat of the weather, to add even more the warmth of his gaze.
