Chapter 1:

The radiating colors of blue, pink combined with orange punched the sky. An afterglow. Hans, the innocent writer of journals and some flash fiction just arrived in Manila along with his father, Rudolf.

They pulled their rolling luggage as they walked through the passenger's gate. On the other side of the airport, someone is waiting for them. A very close friend of his father he is known as his uncle, Almiro.

Together with their promising bonds, they have intertwined their business along with their deep friendship. Almiro and Rudolf have known each other since the last year of their college days. Unexpectedly, things they planned weren't the same as it goes out.

However, the young lad, Hans, is still unwary of his uncle's presence. Almiro and his friend, Rudolf, have decided to let their sons meet together on an occasion that was completely unexpected to both of their sons.

Hans has never met Miggy before and the other is also the same. A little-known thing about knowing them is, Hans used to know a few things about Miggy, an abstract person he has never seen, not even for once. He had no clue about how he looked like, how tall he is or how will he act with him. Added the fact that Hans will surely be observant towards the new person he'll meet.

On the contrary, it was against his will. He doesn't want to go back to Manila since he had a tragic love story that ended badly. His heart is still healing in just six months after their breakups. And his father didn't know about it. For Hans, Rudolf will be mad if he found out his son was having a boyfriend though.

"Good evening, bro!" Almiro greeted his old but gold friend, giving him a warm embrace he could ever offer to him. Nothing changes, just like ignited flames from a couple of twigs, burning and heartwarming.

A smile that is a mile wide painted on his lips as he patted his long-time friend's back. "It's nice to see you again, bro!"

"Yeah! You too! How are you?" He asked while doing their friendship's endearment. Giving repeated high fives to each other and the final fist bomb, a sign of friendly gesture between them. But in the eyes of one, hinders the secret glimpse of curiosity.

"I'm doing fine! How about you?" Rudolf responded shaking their hands now. Almiro's eyes landed on the grownup lad beside him, he smiled at him and the lad did the same as a sign of respect.

"I'm good too, bro. By the way, is this your son, Hans Angelo Gejero?" He shook hands with the lad.

That's the one thing he could always remember about his uncle, he's so touchable and approachable to anybody. So kind loving and caring person. He often ships his father to him which Rudolf gets annoyed sometimes, he doesn't like gays.

"Yep! He's more mature now," His father proudly described him with a proud chuckle.

"I see, he's a tough man, how big he is?" A sardonic laugh loose from him. Along with his father, they laughed but him. Hans just furrowed, not knowing what they're talking about.

Out of nowhere, his phone vibrated, indicating someone is calling him. Hopefully, his phone is in silent mode so they didn't get bothered by it. He picked it up from his pocket and found out the name of his caller. His ex, Sou.

Without further hesitation, he excused himself to them just to answer his unwanted caller. They told Hans to follow them in a nearby coffee shop, the young lad nodded as a sign of understanding and he slipped away from them. He swipes the screen to answer the call.

Even if it was against his will to answer it, he felt relieved to make an excuse to get away from his father and uncle's unknown thesaurus of conversation. "Hello?"

"Hans… Are you busy?"

He rolled his eyes for the overdramatic tone of his voice. It won't work anymore for him since he used it as an alibi tone when he caught him cheating. "Yeah? Signing papers in the middle of the evening street with passing vehicles, you might want to try it, don't you?" He lied

"I guess it's a yes… I-I just wanted to say sorry…"

"It's been six months, Sou. Why are you bugging me again?" A sigh ousted from his mouth, filled with exasperating thoughts.

"I know. I wish you could listen to my side first,"

"I've heard your side. I've heard enough, I've shared enough tears with you. What do you have to do with broken glass? Does it fix though? No. So do my trust is!" He ended the conversation with just a click of his thumb finger, leaving his ex-boyfriend engulfed in hopelessness.

He looked at his phone a little longer and he hoped that Sou will call him again. But his hope and faith have bailed him. He's not really sorry to him.

For over six years of their relationship, Hans never expected that it will come to a bashful end. Well, things came into the least expected time. Hans' eyes were now bulging in tears, being irritated by the pain that has been opened from the deep wounds.

His painful and tragic love story cuts deep within his heart solely. Excruciating himself, again and again, self-fixing with broken shattered pieces caused by his past. Hans closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, he exhales the agonizing thoughts and breaks free into a new beginning.

His lips pursed into a bitter smile just to motivate himself even just for a while. He promised himself he would not cry over a person who doesn't really care about his feelings. Despite the negative emotions storming to him in a matter of time, he managed to recover from it quickly.

The lad takes steps further away from his spot, unexpectedly bumping into a stranger who is about his size and status. Wearing casual tuxedo that only CEOs were wearing.

Fortunately, their eyes met constantly, in a mystical way that tantalized both eyes of them. An unusual feeling was born into their hearts and was made to pound rapidly. Everything went slow as the time went freezing fissure.

"S-sorry," He apologized bitterly to the strange man. He then walks away with his gloomy eyes.

The man, or known as Miggy might have noticed the sparkles in his eyes. He just doesn't know the reason why he got caught by his ephemeral dark eyes. All he knew is, it was something different that he has never felt before, not even to his current girlfriend, Jewel.

He remained to stand onto the spot to where he was standing now. Staring at the angelic stranger vanished from his sights.

Several blinks made him back to himself again. 'What the heck did just happen?' He seemed so beguiled by the unwanted presence he just encountered.

'I wonder what happened to him?' He pondered again. He let loose of defying sigh just to forget about what happened a couple of minutes ago.

He completely has woken up from the deprived thoughts when his phone rang causing too much noise in his pocket. He picked it up and answered the caller without checking who it was, well he knew it's already Jewel.

"Babe? Where are you now!?"

"Can you stop yelling at me!?" He uttered with his brows were more likely to be colliding as his spine shivered into frustration by hearing her mouthful voice.

"Ok fine! But where the fuck are you? Aren't you supposed to be with me 24/7?"

"C'mon Jewel! I'm your boyfriend, not your bodyguard!"

"That's the point! The boyfriend should always be with his girlfriend! Maybe you are cheating on me, aren't you!?" His eyes rolled pathetically. His hands clenched into fists, shaking madly for her petulant attitude.

Jewel cries with her fake sobbing trying to convince Miggy to fetch her. But her boyfriend was immune to it. He knew she's just a fake sobber who tried to simp him. Besides, Jewel and Miggy's father has had big feuds since their relationship had started. His father didn't like her so much for him, he just knew that Jewel is unworthy to be his girlfriend.

His mind is now pumping a lot of regretful thoughts, Miggy regrets protecting Jewel from his father when they're having fights. Now he has to figure something else out just to get rid of her manipulative sobber girl.

"You know what!? I'm going to meet my Dad, you're wasting my time!"

"Oh!" She cried from the other line. "How dare you!? Does he is way more important than me!?" She cried with her voice cracked into fake sobbing.

"Yeah! Without him, I wasn't born," He harshly responded with the sardonic tone of his voice.

"Fine! Meet him and let's break up!"

"Wise choice! Then I'm over you too!" He quickly turned off his phone after he cut the line. He placed it in his pocket and wandered the place looking for the venue where his father told him they should meet.

It took him not so long to find them sitting on one of the reserved tables inside his father's favorite coffee shop.

He went in and got closer to them. He greeted his uncle Almiro that he hasn't seen for almost years for he became an occupied man. With a little chitchat with him of 'how are you?' And switching turns of chuckles made them reunited as being close to one another again.

Miggy's eyes landed on the ethereal eyes of the angelic person he just met accidentally a while ago. A figure of an angel that God might have sent to him. Mesmerizing his mind by a grandiloquent beam.

The world stopped rotating for the both of them, the time has come to its freezing point where all of their surroundings were nonexistent. His eyes were pulled by the strong magnetic field that won't allow him to glance away from the sinful angelic face of the familiar person. It was also the same for Hans.

The guy sitting next to his uncle, Miggy is too handsome to handle. Their eyes could've made a sparkling strike of lightning by just staring at one another's. His heart jumped beating to his ears, his hormones were stampeding savagely by overwhelming thoughts

Both Hans and Miggy have gotten lost their minds.

"H-hi?" From the snow chilling sensation to sonorous bravery comes out the guts to say at least one word to the perfect angle.

"Hello?" Hans responded, Miggy reached for his hand, they both shook their hands as the gesture of meeting each other.

"I'm Miggy Rior," A glimpse of admiring sprouted into his rich soil.

"I'm Hans Angelo Gejero." His lips beamed a flaring smile that lightened up his whole dark and cold world now cryptically. His heart is kicking his chest repeatedly, Miggy couldn't prevent himself to not letting go of his hand.

Unwary about the existence of their fathers, they didn't know they were staring at them for a couple of minutes long, they're wondering why these two having a longer shake hand than them. It was quite unsettling to see. An unexpected behavior between the two guys despite the fact that they never met each other before. Not even once.

"Ehem!" Rudolf coughed with searing glares to his son. For him, it was a gayish action. He doesn't want his son to be gay just like other people. Because of his sudden action, the two have woken up from the derivation of being stunned.

They both looked away from one another and tried their best to repulse the overwhelming sensation as best as they could do.

"So… You must still be wondering to each other, huh?" Rudolf broke the silence creeping between them, he gazed at Almiro who can't look at him straight. It's getting awkward, he felt Rudolf was about to be enraged for he knew he hated gays so much.

"Y-yes, uncle… Your son's hand is soft," Miggy complimented with a sniggering smile. Rudolf glared at him blankly. His throat made a sudden downward movement when he swallowed his saliva. "I mean that was just a compliment, uncle. He's kinda fragile too," He added then glanced away. Rudolf is something to be intimidated by anyone.

"I see," He responded, the silence creaked between the four of them, he brought awkwardness with him. Their orders arrived exactly the time they have said to their customer.

The aromatizing scents of hot spicy yellow curry they've ordered for their dinner along with their all-time different flavors of coffee have arrived. "That would be $86.69." The waiter reminded them politely.

Almiro paid for their charges and Rudolf doesn't like to be spared. However, Almiro insisted he does not repulse the grace he's given to them, they're friends for a long time. For Rudolf, Almiro is something that never changes. He is still the person he met before. The only difference is, he got taller than him which annoys him.

They started munching their dinner while storytelling about their experiences in lives that matter for them. Miggy is glimpsing at Hans secretly and he really wanted to talk with him but he's too afraid of Hans' father. He thought he'll be having a hard time conversing with him...
