I didn't stop to think as I left the house, driving on full speed to the hospital. I kept glancing at my phone to see if I had missed any calls that could tell me she had been identified, and was alive.
"Sir!" A nurse called behind me as I ran towards the emergency room of the hospital. She was coming after me but I didn't care. I could feel the air slowly escaping as my brain tried to place whose face the hand belonged to. I was certain I was going to pass out as the voices around me seemed to be blending into echoes and my vision was blurring away."You stole my fucking money." The voice clicked to me.
