16 – Heat

Almost a week has passed. Lilith has been my only company and I have no idea what happened to Jaden, who doesn't answer anyone's calls.

He ignored Lilith, Catherine and Bruno. He also ignored me and that made me very worried. In fact, he and Damon were missing and now everyone was looking for ways to go out and find them.

Although he tried to remain calm, I was desperate inside, as if he had lost a part of myself. Damn it!

I roll next to Lilith as I feel the heat in my body increase. It gets so intense that I feel sweat starting to form on my forehead.

"Wow, did someone turn up the heat?" I mutter, as I take off my jacket and throw it on Jaden's chair.

“No,” Lilith murmurs.

However, an agonizing pain courses through my body and I scream, gripping the armchair. Lilith looks at me scared and steps back a little, frowning.
