"Where are we going?" I asked Elijah as he takes a hold of my hand, leading me through the park. He said nothing and I roll my eyes but keep shut but after a few minutes I decide to ask him one more question. "How did you get here? And how did you know where I'd be?"
"I'm the king darling, I can find you whenever I want," Elijah comments, pushing his brow locks from his face. "And were going to the palace"
"What?!" I wispher-yelled into the dark night.
"I will not repeat myself" he mumbled not sparing me a glance.
I scoff but let him drag Me with him. I spot a black Lamborghini that looks brand new at the road side. He opens the door for me and I get in while he also hopes in the driver's seat, turning on the car right away speeding out as he drives like a mad man.
I hold on the seatbelt for dear life and my eyes open as he continues speeding around the fairly traffic.
"For fuck's sake slow down!" I yelled at him, my cheeks going red.
Goddess, I do not wish to die like this and why the hell is he acting like an asshole?
About thirty minutes later we got to a very silent neighborhood that is surrounded with tall, thick trees. I look over to Elijah with a confused face, a little bit skeptic.
"What are we doing here? I thought you said we were going to the palace." I ask him.
He look at me with a raised brow, his eyes shinning with amusement.
"You do not expect me drive fourteen hours to the palace, now do you?" He replied then sighs.
"In every state and country, there is a portal that leads to the palace and only the royal families knows about it" He added driving through the untile dark road in the forest.
He stopped when we are further away from the buildings that we passed then we got out. He leads us to a very big tree and stands next to it. I fold my arms and look at him, curious of what he was going to do.
He place his hand on the tree and chants some words that sounds ancient. The air becomes chilly and breeze blows around the tree, I and Elijah as he kept on chanting then, the tree had a tiny bright light in the middle of it, shinning. It kept on becoming bigger and bigger till it is big enough for us to fit in.
"Wow" I gasped, taking my hair that was stuck in my mouth and look at Elijah who is already staring at me with a proud smile on his face. He stretched his hand towards me and I take it, then he draws me closers to him and wraps his big hands around me and whispers in my ear.
"Hold on tight"
We fall through the light and I close my eyes and hold on to him tightly. There's a whooshing sound around us, It was like we were falling through a never ending black hole.
The noise stops but I clutch on to Elijah tightly. "You can let go now darling." He said.
I cleared my throat and let go of him, adjusting my blue T-shirt that had wrinkle from the fall. I see that we are in some sort of study room.
"Follow me," Elijah said leading me out of the room. We walk through corridors passing through different rooms, I see a room that the door is slightly ajar, I take a quick peep seeing rolls of chairs. It looks somewhat like a dinning table but wasn't. It has a very big chair at the head which I guessing belongs to the king and smaller ones facing each other.
"That's the meeting room" the king comments, now taking my hand in his. We walk until we got to the kings wing. I know that because it was literally written there.
We stop in front of a door and he brings out a key unlocking the door. The room is beautiful, the wall is a cream color with black straight lines. The floor, covered with soft looking rug. Oh, how I'd love to rub my bare feet on them.
"We need to talk" Elijah muttered, drawing my attention back to him. I nod and take a seat on one of the posh chairs and so does he.
"I want you to be my mate, Celeste" He spoke.
"Why?" I asked, really wanting to know what he see in me. A she-wolf who was rejected by her own mate.
"Because you're different" He says. I am confused... What makes me different from the other she-wolfs? I am just a girl with a broken heart and a mate who rejected her.
"I do not understand Elijah, what makes me different?"
"Because you can fix me, you can be my mate once again." He said as he get on his feet and stand by the window, looking at the snowflakes falling from the sky
Once again, What does he mean?
"Elij-" "I know you are confused Celeste," he cuts me off. "But you will understand in time."
I decide not to say anything and just nod my head even though he can't see me. He sighs then turn towards me and give a smile. "I will have one of the maids bring you dinner, you must be hungry" He said.
"Oh no, I already had dinner, do not worry but thanks anyway"
"If you say so." He muttered with a nod then come closer to me and place a gentle kiss on my head "See you tomorrow Celeste."
I watch his retreating figure walk out the door and once he was out and the door was closed I let out a breath. I stretch my body and jump on the massive bed and let out a sigh of contentment. As soft as the bed was I couldn't sleep. My mind keeps racing with thoughts of what was to come with my life, what does this mean for me and what did the King mean by his mate once again?
It is know across the world that his mate was dead over seven Years ago.The King could have meant his mate again as in a second chance mate.. Right? We are two broken souls and we need each other. Shaking my head at that thought, I looked up to the ceiling praying to the moon goddess to give me strength.
I decide to go out for a stroll as I couldn't sleep. I pass through many halls, beautiful paintings. It seems like I lost track of time... And my way.
I look around the different halls wondering which way I came through. I pick the hall on the left hoping it would lead me back to my wing. I walk pass different closed doors, but stop when I see a shadow of someone through the slightly opened door.
I stand next to the wall hiding my body and using my left eye to take a peek in the room. The room, filled with beautiful red roses just like the one drawn on the floor of the throne room and in the middle was a tombstone. I can't see the name written on it because the person standing next to the tomb.
I hear whispering then the person laughs but he is the only one In the room. I gasp when the unknown or rather know person turns his head.
"Who's there?" Elijah's voice echo's through the room and in the hall. My eyes widen and I ran as fast as I can, this time through the right hall. Relief floods through me as I see the the kings wing, I opened my door and close it with much force that it made a loud bang and I cringed. I climb on the bed and cover myself with the blanket. I try calming my heartbeat as it was racing so fast.
The door to my room opens slightly and I close my eyes tightly. After a few seconds he close the door and I release a breath I didn't even realize I was hold.
As I become sleepy my mind is filled with two thoughts. Who the hell was Elijah whispering and laughing with and how the fuck did those roses stay fresh in such a room?
Five Months Later."What are you doing here all alone" My husband said wrapping his strong arms around my waist and placing a kissing my mark."Just thinking" I muttered leaning my head to the side granting him access as his lips connected with my jaw. It's been a whole five months after the war and we've been trying to get things back to normal.I had a mental breakdown for three months after the whole thing. Almost losing my son, losing my mother and losing my pregnancy makes me tense up thinking that someone was going to attack us.After my son was saved and came back to life, Hilda saw her daughter laying at the bottom of the stairs with a dagger sticking out of her heart. In range she almost attacked us if not for some guards who stopped her. I have no idea what happened to her and when ever I asked Elijah, he would brush it off until I finally dropped the matter.
"Ah, his Majesty has finally decided to join us" Derrick said jeeringly with a dramatic bow.Elijah growled with some of his soldiers as they stood at him back."Tell them to back off" Derrick growled at Elijah's men while I struggle against the hold that Cedric had on me.Elijah glance at everyone in the room before his eyes zoomed in on the hand of Derrick that was wrapped around our sons neck."Leave" Elijah muttered lowly. The guards looked at themselves unsure if he meant it. "Now!" He growls at them, clenching and unclenching his fist and with hesitation, they left. Now it was just Elijah, Me, Cedric, Mlika and Derrick. The rogue King sent Josephine and her son out, I'm sure he did it so she would find Elijah and not long after she left, Elijah came."What do you want Derrick" Elijah growled, his eyes kept on zooming on our crying son. Micah already has marks on his arms and neck from where Derrick held him."What do I want?" De
I rushed into the room and knelt down beside the cold body of my mother. I placed my index abd middle finger on her neck, trying to see if there was a pulse but came up with none. I sniffle, my eyes blurry with unshard tears but as I blinked they fell running down my cheeks and falling on my mothers hair.Gently, I removed her head from my lap and lay it on the floor. I searched the room in case my son was hiding somewhere but came up with nothing. My heart beat excitedly with the thoughts that they might have escaped through the portal but when I faced the dark mirror, I put my hand on the glass and gasped when it went through it.They never escaped, if they did the portal would have closed back and a that would be left will be a solid glass.Glancing at mom on last time I left the room in search of my son. Elijah was right. If I had know I would not have left them alone.I try not to dwe
"Be safe. Take Micah and hide in the study. I'll try and find out what's happening" My husband, the king mumbled before quickly kissing me on the cheeks and leaving the room. I quickly put on my clothes and rush to my sons room to see him awake and crying in his crib. I picked him up and pat him on the back and soon he stopped crying. As I walk down the hall, I saw the massive green light that shinned and when I looked at it closely, it was being hit by very powerful balls. I could tell that it was the work of magic for no human weapon could do such a thing. And this... This could expose us. Shaking my head and continuing with the task at hand, I took out the keys from my pocket that Elijah gave me before departing from me, I pushed it into the keyhole unlocking the door and then locking both I and Micah in the room. I placed him on the wooden floor and also the bag I took from his ro
Two Years Later"Don't run off to far Micah!" I yelled as my two year old son ran around the garden with his cousin Jordan.I am currently having brunch with Josephine and mom in the garden while our sons played together. We laughed as they both fell to the ground giggling before getting up."Beautiful isn't it?" Josephine asked and I nodded taking a bite out of my omlet. "It is" I replied.Never in my life would I have imagined to be in this position. If someone had told me three years ago that I would be married to the King and have a child with him, I would have have laughed and call them crazy. We all talked for a while about how the pack back home is doing. Josephine tells me that they plan on extending the land and if they do, it would be the third largest pack in the world."Well guess what" I said to them smiling with glee and w
It felt like a dream come true. It is a dream come true. My makeup was done to perfection by the make up artist and my hair a Low Bun With Mini Bouffant and Side Sweep. I felt like a princess who was being dolled up to met her prince charming at the bottom of the stairs.I was finally getting married to the man I love, everything was falling in place. I got up from my seat when the hairstylist was done with my hair and got into the beautiful white diamond gown. I ran my fingers along the lacy material and it sparkled under my touch."Truly amazing" The hairstylist said putting her combs and brush inside her bag. I got compliments from the people around me and I either answered them with a smile or a thank you.It was finally time, my parents walked me to the large wooden door that was closed and mom kissed me on the cheek telling me how beautiful I looked before leaving Dad and I there. We stood there a minute and I used t
Was I suppose to run into him arm? Or maybe drop the towel? Fuck, the latter was unnecessary but it did come to my mind. We both stood there just staring at each other, Elijah, gasping with no words coming out of his mouth while I, holding my towel tight. "You're here" He finally breathed, leaving the door nob and moving towards me, and within a second, he scoops me in arms. My hands was still holding the towel making the hug look kinda weird but that was OK by me. I was happy to be in his arms-right now I felt safe, I felt at home. "You're really here" he mumbled into my hair and I removed the hold I had on the towel and wrapped them around his waist. "I missed you" I said to him and he pulls me closer to him, tightening his hold around my waist but I do not mind, it makes me feel all the more better, wanted. We pulled away after a minute or two, looking into each othe
I placed the little things I brought with me in the boot of the car, closing it and then turning to mom who stood beside me. It took me right days to finally come to a decision that I wanted to be with Elijah."Are you sure about this?" Mom asked and I nodded, offering her a smile. "Yes mom" I answered giving her a hug and inhaling her scent.Dad was standing at the porch watching the interaction between his family. I sighed when I saw the sad look on his face and decided to go up to him. We haven't spoken to each other since the study room incident that occurred eight days ago.He looked surprised that I was coming up to him and composed himself. "Dad," I said giving him a small smile."Look Celeste, I'm sorry for everything" he mumbled looking down. I placed my hand on his shoulder and he looked at me while I offered him a smile."I know," I whispered and he smiled. "But you need to tell
Its being a few days after that incident and I could not sleep every single night for I kept on seeing Natasha's lifeless face.I couldn't sleep this night too, I kept toasting and turning on my bed and eventually I decided to go for a run in the woods to burn up some fuel. Opening the door to my room, I cringe when it made a noise but continued my journey outside the house.I released a sigh when I was finally outside and jogged barefoot to the woods. The sky was dark and the moon hid behind the clouds. For others it might not be safe for them to be walking alone in the woods but I felt free, free from my problems.I found a perfect spot behind a large tree to shift into and I quickly strip from my clothes. Bending on all fours, I closed my eyes and imagined my dark wolf.I growled as my body transformed, and I slouched like an animal. My bones snapped, lengthened, and popped back into place.
