Jenny’s whole body trembled, her hands shaking uncontrollably as tears streamed down her cheeks. Her voice cracked, raw with anguish, each word sounding like it was torn from her throat.

“Davi… what exactly did he do that day?” she whispered, almost afraid to hear the answer.

“Was that why you were hospitalized? What do you mean… that wasn’t the worst?”
