My head snapped towards the sound. A figure emerged from the shadows, bathed in the soft, revealing light of the room. She was breathtakingly beautiful, elegantly dressed in a golden & maroon sequin tight short dress that clung to every curve of her voluptuous body. Her long, blonde hair, styled to perfection, cascaded down her back, reaching her waist. She walked with an almost predatory grace, as if on a runway, but her expression was anything but serene. Her eyes, narrowed and blazing with an unholy fire, were fixed on me, promising absolute annihilation.

“…you bloody bitch…. how….who do you think you are…. to enter here…. and ruin my surprise…. I know people like you…. I don't even understand who even let such a low-class person like you inside our hotel….” Her words, a torrent of vitriol, continued to pour out, each one a sharp, stinging blow.

Tears, hot and sudden, blurred my vi

I had been walking, lost in the chaotic symphony of my thoughts, when I unexpectedly encountered Eva. A tiny gasp escaped my lips –“Shifu, where were you. Come on, we are already late for the party.”I hadn’t known she was attending, and truthfully, I hadn’t bothered to ask. Her eyes sparkled as they raked over my attire, and a warm smile graced her lips. “Wow, you look absolutely stunning! Such a pretty dress.” she exclaimed, her voice a cheerful melody.A nervous tremor ran through me, quickly blossoming into a full-blown panic. I managed a weak smile in response, my mind a whirlwind of anxieties. Stunning? The word echoed mockingly in my head, amplifying the cacophony of my inner turmoil. I took a shaky breath, hoping she wouldn’t ask any more questions, trying to steady myself, as we continued our slow procession towards the venue. Every step felt like a march towards an unknown fate, each one heavier than the last. Then, like a beacon in the storm, I spotted them – my parents,

My mind was still reeling, trying to process the sudden shift in atmosphere, the bizarre confrontation, and the chilling realization that this man was the one from the club. Was he truly the same person? Was I wrong? The stranger from the club had an American accent, distinct and pronounced. This man… his voice carried the sophisticated, clipped tones of a British accent and his voice was similar but not as deep and husky like Mr. Stranger. The discrepancy, though minor, only added to the bewildering chaos in my mind. His gaze, which had momentarily drifted to Ana, snapped back to me, an amused glint in his deep eyes.“Didn’t I just help you?” he asked, a hint of a smile playing on his lips, dangerously charming. “Then why on earth would you lash out at me, baby girl?” He sighed.“I apologize for the mess she made,” he said, his voice a smooth, captivating baritone.

“Didn’t she tell you it was her birthday? So don’t create a scene here. Just forget it, okay?” His tone was calm, almost dismissive, a stark contrast to the previous tension. To my utter disbelief, the woman who had just been a raging inferno of curses and insults transformed before my eyes. Her haughty demeanour dissolved, replaced by a meek, almost delicate posture. She looked up at him, her eyes wide and saccharine, her voice sweet and cloyingly coquettish.“Baby….. I was so excited when Alex called me and asked me to come here, informing me you had planned a surprise for me… and this wench ruined it for me…. For us Willy! You know how special I felt when I heard you planned a surprise for me… that too today… on your big day, you wanted to celebrate it with me… I’m so touched, baby.” She leaned into him, her arms wrapping around his waist in a possessive hug. Though she tried to kiss
