Chapter Fifteen

I was not sure exactly how long I spent in that room, writhing in pain. Most of the time, I laid on the bed, screaming and shaking as the heat was relentless. I drifted in and out of consciousness due to the pain that flowed through my body. I had lost count of how many times I had thrown up, even though I had not eaten anything.

At some point between being unconscious, I decided to stay in the bathroom so I would not have to travel from the bed to the toilet. The cold tile did little to heat my burning skin, but it still felt better then the latter. I heard someone come into my room a couple of times leaving trays of food and water next to my bed even though I did not want it. I could hear the distant crashing of glass, and loud banging in a different room which I assumed was Leo destroying something.

Hearing his anger through the walls only made me feel more solidified with my decision. He was too angry to be near me. Every now and then
