Chapter 1— The Ride

Aria's POV

“Whatever you do, do not annoy the prince. Remember your training”, Lady Morgana whispered softly as she tended to my hair.

I sat on the chair in my silver embroidered dress, looking like a zombie with no life in her eyes. I was getting married, this was supposed to be every girl's dream and happiest day.

Except that I was being sold off by my father.

“It's time, let's go”

She led me out of my room and into the ballroom. It was quite full and for the first time in 10 years, I was seeing a lot of people gathered in one place.

I felt my skin prickle but kept my gaze down as I approached the platform. My father was standing there with a grin on his face and Prince Kieran stood by his side, his hands on his ceremonial sword.

I stopped in front of them, my eyes on the ground and feeling the several pairs of eyes burn into my back. The hall was now grave silent, Prince Kieran stepped forward with a smug look on his face.

“My world! Is she pretty? Alpha Theron, you have quite a gem here”.

My father chuckled, “I always produce perfection Kieran”.

He circled me and then stood to face me, he lifted my chin with a finger forcing me to look at him. I stared at his dark brown eyes, hating him even more.

“You’ll do nicely. Defective or not, your bloodline is pure”.

I said nothing but I hoped he could see the hatred burning in my eyes. I remembered my father's words as he told me to get ready for my ceremony earlier today.

Disappoint me Aria and you go back into the hole you've always been in.

Well leaving with Kieran was probably the devil's push I needed to gain my freedom somehow.

“I can't wait to rip this dress off you”, he said with a chuckle.

A low murmur rose from amongst the guests in attendance. I glanced at my father, he had no expression on his face. He just sat there on his throne, staring at us both with his jaw set.

I swallowed the tears that were welling up in my throat and pooling in my eyes

“It's time to exchange the vows”, the priest said. He was looking uneasy as though he knew the foundation of this marriage.

I stepped onto the altar, and a ring was handed to me by Lady Morgana. I stared at the gold circle, wondering how all my life, I'd be in bondage.

“Do you, Princess Aria Theron take His highness, Prince Kieran to be your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in…

I zoned out at the rest of the vows, staring past Kieran and into space.

“Princess Aria?”

I snapped out of my reverie and looked up at the priest who stared at me expectantly. I looked up at Kieran who glared at me as he towered over me.

“I—

I froze, my werewolf hearing picking up something strange. I looked at the priest's face and saw that it was drained of color. He heard it too.

Everyone heard it too.

It was like a low rumble of a lot of motorcycles approaching. My heart began to race, motorcycles were forbidden in the royal compound.

“Rogues”, Kieran snarled.

My father immediately went into action, his face masked with anger.

“Secure the grounds and the princess!”

But it was quite late. The doors exploded inward, wood splinters flying around the hall. Everyone began to run in different directions, everywhere now a total chaos.

Several bikes with masked riders drove in wearing leather cuts, bikers gloves and dark helmets. My father's guards began to shift into full wolf to attack, the intruders too were not giving them any chance.

There was a lot of screaming, yelling, groans, it was utter chaos. I stood frozen on the platform staring at everything unfold.

Then a bike burst in through the doorway and I realized with growing horror that it was heading for the platform, for me.

I tried to run. The rider drove up the ramp from the opposite direction and I tried to pick up my pace but clearly I was in a gown.

He drove next to me, grabbed me by the waist and threw me on the bike before me so that I straddled him.

I screamed and rammed my fists into his shoulder but he continued to drive ahead, maneuvering with one hand and the other holding my waist tightly.

“Let go of me, you monst—

My eyes widened in horror as I turned to look at what we were approaching. He was going to crash through the floor to ceiling stained glass windows.

I turned, burying my face in his shoulders as I whimpered. I heard the shattering sound of glass, the ripping sound of a dress, probably mine and then we were outside.

I felt the sun on my skin, the wind blowing my hair wildly—in the chaos, it had loosened and fell to my waist.

Gunshots behind us snapped me back into reality. I looked behind us and saw both bikers and snarling wolves chasing after us.

This was it, the only chance I'd get. Using all the strength I could muster, I grabbed the handlebars, steering it towards the pool. I only needed to change the course or distract him, father's guards would have us surrounded by the time he'd recover.

I would rather be in a loveless marriage than be kidnapped by a nameless rogue.

“What do you think you're doing?” He hissed, his voice sounding more menacing through the helmet, struggling to regain control, we were approaching a speed bump, this was my chance.

“Trying to escape you, dummy. Let me go” I held on tightly, I wasn't about to show up on a missing people's list and to rogues nonetheless.

“Stop fighting or we both die”, he hissed.

My body tensed, that voice sounded familiar, way too familiar, “I don't mind taking you down with me.” I gritted out.

Managing to hold my tiny wrists with one of his own, he swerved, just enough for us to safely get through the bump.

Flashing him a grin I stomped my feet hard on what seemed like the throttle.

He groaned, kicking my leg with his big ones, “Stop acting so bratty” the motorcycle nearly tumbled from his actions.

My ankles hurt like hell, tears welling up my eyes, “Bastard.” I cursed.

We crashed through the gates and all I could hear were the loud roaring sounds of engines beside and behind us.

Aria“Pay attention,” he growled softly.“I’m trying,” I snapped back.“Sure you are,” his voice dripped with skepticism, clearly unconvinced. His large hands covered mine, guiding them with a firm grip. “Squeeze the clutch, then let it go, bit by bit.”“What’s the pace?” I asked, feeling the tension.“Find the rhythm yourself,” he whispered.Doing exactly as he commanded, I felt the bike lurch forward into a smooth roll. “Look, I’m actually moving!” I breathed, a small thrill of excitement bubbling up.“So it seems.”But then my fingers slipped, twisting the throttle by mistake. The engine let out a sudden, violent roar that made my heart leap. A sharp gasp slipped through my lips as I felt the panic set in.He steadied us in no time. “Easy, don't fight it.”“It's trying to murder me.” I snapped,He laughed aloud, “It's a motorcycle, not an assassin.”“Who knows?” I mumbled. He released his hands, letting me take control. This time I was much more careful, the tires rolled forward sm

AriaMy eyes blinked open slowly, I stretched my body on the bed. “Ah,” I nearly screamed on seeing the face staring at me.“Cassy, what the hell?” I held my hand to my chest, which was pounding crazily. “What was that for?”She smiled sheepishly, “You were so still and quiet. I wanted to check if you were still breathing.”“And you had to do it right next to my face?” My heart was already calming down, but the pounding sensation was still there. I could still feel the hollow space it left.“Sorry Aria. Speaking of, Alpha is waiting for you on the field. He said, If you don’t show up in the next ten minutes, you have to find someone else to train you.” She said like she was reciting a mantra.“Shit,” I sprang up immediately, taking the clothes she had in her hands and rushing it on, “What’s the time now?”“Five fifty,” she replied.“You could have woken me,” I grumbled, remembering the incidents from yesterday, leave it to me to wake up late on a day as important as this.“Alpha said

AriaThe rage burning within me dried up in an instant on spotting the faces looking at me with amusement inside the office.Carlos, Jax, Bones, and Ghost were all seated staring straight at me as though I had two heads.“First Lady, hope we're safe?” Carlos was the first to speak, his tone teasing and loud.I felt my cheeks heat up at the words. Ever since Cassy informed me that Cain had acknowledged me as his mate while searching for me, I have noticed a much more different treatment from the club members.“You’re safe,” I said quietly. They all chuckled,“One's snappy, the other is fiery, what better combo could there be?” Stanley joked, making them all burst into laughter. I nearly wished the ground could open and swallow me right there.Mika walked in behind me, “I told y'all. They're perfect for each other. You just wouldn't believe it,” she spoke, ignoring me.Jax had a complicated look on his face, but he didn't say a word. Cain wasn't far off either. If looks could kill, they

Cain“I'm telling you, I saw it clear as day, Alpha transformed,” Ghost insisted while arguing with Bones and Stanley.I tried ignoring them, but the restlessness from Kale made it even more difficult to ignore. They've been at it for the past hour, arguing over unnecessarily random topics,“I'm faster than Stanley, everyone can see that.” Carlos changed the topic. “In your dreams,” Stanley scoffed, “beat Bones first before even thinking of moving to me. Don't move faster than your shadow.“Don't involve me in this.” Bones replied coolly.“Oh please, who doesn't know how slow you are, if not for the curves you take, I can certainly beat you” Carlos insisted, glaring at Stanley.“That's what you said the last three times and you still lost. Woefully,” Stanley mocked. I tuned them off, trying to focus on something else but their annoying banter. I felt eyes on me, no doubt it had to be Jax, he had always been too perceptive, even more than the average person. Sigh. “What is it?” I

Aria “Good morning Aria.” Cassy's voice filled my ears as she pulled the curtains apart, letting sun rays hit my eyes. “Urgggh, go away,” I grumbled, pulling the covers over my face. She chuckled, “No can't do princess, it's already Ten, you haven't had breakfast yet.” “Just let me sleep in. It's not everyday I get time off from getting my ass beaten by Mika,” I added, burying my head into my pillow. “I wish I could, but you can't blame me. Up, up, up,” she tugged the sheet, dragging it away from my body. I groaned, cursing under my breath as I stood from the bed, “I'm going to freshen up. Do me a favor and go away,” I added before leaving. She giggled, “Love you too, Princess, I'll be back.” with that she left. Brushing my teeth in the mirror, my mind went back to two weeks ago, when everything had gone crazy. First I was kidnapped, then I went into heat, acting so desperate and crazy, and to think my wolf wasn't fully out yet. Who knows what will happen when we do mee

CainLuther walked in, “Can’t an old folk get a peaceful sleep around here?” He grumbled.“I gagged him.”“That first echo was enough, more than enough to have me crawling out of bed to see what you're up to.”“You've seen it, go away.”“No way. Someone successfully invaded the pack? That's near impossible, I gotta see who had the guts.”“Suit yourself.”“Won't you at least offer me a seat.”I ignored him and turned back to my captive, “Who are you?”He steadied his heavy breathing, “Corvus” he replied, shooting daggers at me through his eyes.“Your eyes have no use to me in the information I need. Try not to lose it before your death,” I warned casually. He didn't avert his gaze. Instead, he began muttering again, something about the father again.“Where are you from?” I continued with my questions.“He gave me a lopsided grin, “Would you believe me if I said I was from Crescent Crown Pack?”I sneered, “I'd say you're full of shit.” Theron wouldn't be that stupid. I wasn't sure befor
