In-laws Asking For Dinner

Jhonatan who had arrived at the office, when he was about to start the meeting there was a project file that was left behind, he postponed the meeting and hurried home to pick up the items left behind.

When he arrived at the front of the house he saw his wife running from the back of the house carrying a red shoe.

"Honey!"

"Mas!"

"What honey?" asked Jhonatan surprised and confused.

"Explain to me, who does this belong to? It's not mine," said Gabriel, who was getting angry.

"Honey, I don't know who it belongs to," replied Jhonatan.

"Lies! Then why did you come back again? You must have forgotten to hide this," Gabriel accused.

"Oh my, honey, I honestly don't know, and I came back because I left something behind, really," Jhonatan assured his wife.

"Hemmm, is that true?"

"Yes!"

Shortly thereafter a neighbor was seen looking for something, out of curiosity Jhonatan asked.

"Honey, look our neighbor is looking for something, maybe this shoe belongs to him," said Jhonatan.

Jhonatan and Gabriel approached their neighbor.

"Sorry, what are you looking for?" Gabriel asked.

"I'm looking for my other shoe, the red one," replied the neighbor.

"Isn't this the one?" asked Gabriel while showing the shoes he found in his backyard.

"Yes, that's my shoe, yesterday my nephew was really jail, my shoes were all thrown around and there was even one of my shoes that I found in the sewer, and this red shoe was thrown into your yard, thank you," replied his neighbor while taking the shoe.

She said goodbye and went home. Jhonatan glanced at Gabriel and said.

"Right? I've been honest, honey, I don't know anything about that shoe."

"Hemm yes, yes, I'll get the file that I left behind, I saw it on top of the drawer," said Gabriel disappointed because what he found was not the property of his husband's affair.

Gabriel went into the house to his room to get the file that was left behind then he gave it to his husband. Gabriel was so upset that he went back into the house.

Jhonatan who had received the file immediately ran to his neighbor's house instead of getting into the car, he immediately met his neighbor who had taken the shoes.

"Excuse me, hey!" Jhonatan whispered behind the fence of his neighbor's house who was waiting in the front yard.

Hearing Jhonatan's voice, the neighbor immediately ran over and gave the red shoes to Jhonatan and exchanged them for an envelope.

"Wowww thank you mas, next time I'll do a lot of work like this, it's easy to do it, it's easy to get the money," said the neighbor.

"So what? But you didn't get caught, right?" Dina asked.

"No! Because I quickly told someone to make an offer to my neighbor to confess that it was his shoe, if I hadn't told them, everything would have been finished," explained Jhonatan irritably.

"Yes, it's okay, dear, I'm angry, it's not caught, next time I'll be more careful," said Dina.

"Yes, I'm even more upset, I have a meeting at the office," said Jhonatan who immediately turned off his phone.

He went back to his office and started the meeting, while Gabriel was still suspicious of the red shoes because for a year he lived there, he always passed by the neighbors every time he traveled, but he realized that the neighbors had never worn red shoes with high heels like that.

"Ahh what the hell, there must be a lot of people who have shoes like that, I don't need to think strangely, I have to find strong evidence first before accusing mas Jhonatan," Gabriel said to himself.

It was already late afternoon, Tio returned home. He was welcomed by Gabriel who had been waiting all day with several questions that had accumulated.

"Tio, how come you came home so late?" Gabriel asked.

"Yes, sis, I did my group work at a friend's house," replied Tio.

"Tio, do you want to eat?" Gabriel asked again.

"No ahh, I won't be hungry later, what's wrong sis! How come you're asking me like that?" asked Tio back.

"It's okay, I just want to know more details about the woman your brother brought last night," said Gabriel while walking into the house.

"I already told you, I only saw the red sparkle of her shoes, besides I was a bit sleepy at that time so I didn't know how clear it was," explained Tio.

"Eummm, that's all right," replied Gabriel as he sat down in the living room.

Gabriel sat alone, thinking about his husband, who he knew was having an affair, even if he accused him without any evidence, it wouldn't mean anything.

It was getting late Gabriel still sat on the sofa waiting for the return of his husband who did not know when he would return.

When the clock struck half past eleven at night, there was the sound of someone entering the house, Gabriel thought it was his husband but it was not.

"Dad?" Gabriel greeted.

"You're not asleep yet? Why, it's really late," asked Mr. Ruslan, his father-in-law.

"No pa, I'm waiting for mas Jhonatan to come home, but it's already this hour and he hasn't come home yet," Gabriel replied as he showed the clock.

"Well, you go to bed first, it looks like he won't be coming home tonight," said Mr. Ruslan.

"What's wrong with you, how do you know that mas Jhonatan won't be home?" Gabriel asked in surprise.

Mr. Ruslan seemed to be silent for a moment as if he was thinking of the right answer for Gabriel.

"Pa? Why are you silent?" Gabriel continued to ask.

"Well, Gabriel, have you eaten yet?" Asked Mr. Ruslan who instead diverted the conversation.

"No, I've been waiting for mas Jhonatan to eat together, what's wrong?" Asked back Gabriel who was increasingly surprised why his father-in-law was even diverting the conversation.

"It just so happens that papa hasn't eaten yet, let's eat outside," said Mr. Ruslan.

Gabriel was silent, he was surprised because this was the first time his father-in-law invited Gabriel to eat outside, it even felt a little strange that his father-in-law ate alone with his son-in-law.

"No, papa, I'm not hungry anyway," Gabriel refused because he felt bad.

"Already come with papa," invited Mr. Ruslan without hesitation holding Gabriel's hand.

Gabriel fell silent and went with his in-laws.

They got into the car, Mr. Ruslan driving the car himself, not with a driver.

"Dad, where are we going?" asked Gabriel.

"We're going to a very famous restaurant that has really good food, you must have never been there," replied Mr. Ruslan with a smile.

"Yes, I have, but Mr. Jhonatan is busy and has never invited me to eat out," said Gabriel.

"He's not a romantic man, even though you also need healing, you need attention, you need affection too, he's too busy taking care of the company even though when my father was taking care of it, he wasn't very busy," replied Mr. Ruslan.

"But pa, did papa rarely come home before? Like mas Jhonatan now?" Gabriel asked curiously.

"I don't think so," answered Mr. Ruslan briefly.

Before they knew it, they arrived at the restaurant, where Mr. Ruslan immediately asked for the most expensive menu for the two of them.

"Dad, is this not too much?" asked Gabriel doubtfully.

"It's okay, you just eat what's important is that you're happy," replied Mr. Ruslan rather awkwardly.

Gabriel felt awkward eating together like that with his father-in-law and even the waiter thought that they were lovers because of Mr. Ruslan's young look.

This made Gabriel even more awkward. Mr. Ruslan who was sensitive immediately held Gabriel's hand gently.

"It's okay, don't think about it, just enjoy the food and it will get cold," he said with a smile.

Gabriel just nodded with a thin smile, slowly Gabriel cut the barbecue meat but was a little difficult, Mr. Ruslan swiftly cut the barbecue meat so that Gabriel could eat easily.

After a few bites into Gabriel's mouth, suddenly Mr. Ruslan's hand gently rubbed Gabriel's lip area while saying.

Gabriel's heart skipped a beat, as his father-in-law's hand touched his lips, while watching his father-in-law's face.

"Ouchhhh this is crazy, it turns out that my father-in-law is really handsome, this is more handsome than mas Jhonatan," he murmured in excitement.

"Ehh what the hell, Gabriel realized that he was my father-in-law, remember papa-in-law, don't think anything strange," she continued.

"It's clean, let's continue eating," said Mr. Ruslan.

Gabriel nodded and continued eating, but in the middle of their dinner, Gabriel accidentally saw her husband walking towards the restaurant where they were eating.

"What's wrong Gabriel?" asked Mr. Ruslan, surprised by the look on Gabriel's face as he looked at a point.

"Dad, is that mas Jhonatan?" Gabriel asked back.

Mr. Ruslan glanced behind him, Gabriel suddenly stood up to approach his husband but when he had only stepped one foot, Mr. Ruslan held him back by holding Gabriel's hand.

"Wait a minute don't go near him, Gabriel wait a moment and see first," said Mr. Ruslan.

After a few seconds Jhonatan suddenly grabbed a beautiful and very sexy-looking woman.

"What, Mr. Jhonatan is holding a girl?" he asked in shock and disbelief.

"I told you to wait, and now you see?" said Mr. Ruslan.

Gabriel who was shocked shed tears of sadness from the pain of seeing her husband holding another woman in front of her own eyes, she shook her head while muttering to herself.

"Mas, I really don't think this is what makes you rarely come home? Are you cool with other women? Do you do that every day mas? Then what about me, who am I to you?"
